Not clean, under staffed for a place that has 340 plus apartments. Get more help all around. They try, they really do but only so much 6 people can do that big. It has gone down hill so much since I signed my first lease.

This apartment complex is a shell of its former self. I used to look at this community as the pinnacle of what a luxury community is. Now it’s the definition of a management team that’s given up and doesn’t care what happens to its residents.

I’ve lived here 4 years. The management works hard to take care of the tenants here, and go above and beyond to try to create a positive culture within the community. Maintenance is great as well. For the location and amenities this place is a no brainer, if you can afford it.

I have lived here for a month and have no complaints. Corey was very helpful during my move from another state, maintenance was quick to respond to my request, the building is well maintained. I would recommend The Art to those looking to live close to downtown and Scottsdale and other surrounding areas. Great location!

The individual units are nice but the common areas (hallways, trash rooms, stairwells, garage) are not well maintained or cleaned regularly. Additionally outside of a few emails, the community rules are not being enforced regarding smoking, loud music, trash disposal and quiet hours.

I moved here in April and things are just consistently going down hill. It is not safe. They’ve supposedly been working on fixing the garage gate for months now. It’s wide open and not all doors require a key fob to enter the building. Packages are being stolen, there are people who clearly don’t belong in the building wandering the halls, and there is no sense of security. Anyone off the street can walk in. Secondly, if you ever want to get some sleep, this isn’t the place for you. The pool is open 24/7 which means that there are people partying and playing music all hours of the night, every night, even well into the morning. It’s nonstop and the pool area is constantly trashed. There is supposedly security overnight, but they aren’t on location so I’m unsure why money is going towards them instead of just fixing the gate. They’re charging an exorbitant amount of rent to live in a filthy, dangerous apartment complex that has constant noise. To make matters worse, Greystar management has now encouraged renters to use their apartments as airbnb’s, inviting more potentially unsafe, random people into the complex to party. Depending on who you see when you go down to the leasing office, you’re either made to feel like you’re bothering them, or are just told there’s nothing they can do. Greystar just ignores you. I would never recommend living here to anyone.

Not a secure community. Poor overall maintenance and upkeep. Terribly high “shared” common area electric costs, far too high for how many units this community has.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I don’t feel safe at night or walking the stairwells for fear of running into a homeless person. I can’t get a package delivered without worrying if it’ll be stolen (again). Neighbors are loud. Entrances are not secured - front gate is always broken. There is no sense of urgency to address the security issue.

My experience at The Art has been awesome. The front staff has been amazing, and so friendly. My apartment was literally spotless, everything was in working condition when I moved in. I don’t ever hear anyone in the building which is awesome. The halls and amenities are pretty tidy, and I can tell that the team really cares about the property. I enjoy living here and would recommend it to anyone moving to the Phoenix area.

Just go somewhere else, management has continued to lower the standard of what "luxury living" is. Its overpriced and barely held together at this point. good luck getting anything fixed in a timely manor. Hot tub has been broken at least 8 of the past 12 months and the gate hasn't worked in years.

The staff and residents are very welcoming at The Art on Highland. The amenities are clean and desirable to use. The units are absolutely gorgeous and well insulated blocking out unwanted noise within the building. The community around The Art is a mix of culture and experiences that make the area very desirable to us. It is definitely a unique living experience.

First time living at the art, we did a walk in when we came to see the unit. I fell in love right away with the unit & location. Being closed to so many locations, & the 51 made it so convenient . I am a coffee person so I enjoy the coffee spot next door as well as the beer bar. Super happy about that! If you’re debating between here or something else, just come to the art. Staff is friendly & welcoming. Maintenance as well has been the best, & very respectful. The community itself is nice, amenities are great the pool gets cleaned everyday by maintenance which is nice. I’ve had no complaints that would be a big thing.

I've lived here for a little over a month now. In this time: we have had 3 packages stolen (even with Fetch packages get stolen), the garage gate worked for 4 days and then was rebroken, other people park in my parking space forcing me to park in the uncovered roof parking (in 110F heat), there is constantly pee, poop, and dirty tampons in the hallway, maintenance took 4 days to change a lightbulb (and I had to beg them to do it on the 4th day), the sink hose doesn't work and maintenance refused to fix it because "everyone's is broken", and the pool has been consistently broken and unusable. We do not feel safe here but its over $3000 to cancel the lease early. Leasing office refused to work with us to get that number down lower.

Hello anonymous, We are very sorry to hear of these instances, but multiple items you have stated, if it was brought to our management or leasing team, can be resolved immediately. When a resident runs into our access gate an causes it to stop working, this can be frustrating. But, it was repaired and back in operation with 48 hours. The pool is closed on occasion for chemical treatments. This would include adding high levels of chlorine and acid to to maintain the pool per Maricopa County Pool standards. For the safety of our residents, we do close the pool during this time, as the high level of chemicals can cause skin irritation. The chemicals levels are checked twice daily to ensure the best standards, and maintenance. Regarding you maintenance for a light bulb. I do apologize if we did take 4 days to replace your light bulb for you. If this was an urgent matter for you, please express this to our team. During the summer and warmer months we do prioritize non working a/c service request as first, and do get many these requests. So some of our simpler service request, may take 1 or 2 extra days. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience as that was not our intent. Regarding any sink repairs, again, please do reach out to our manager at theartmgr@greystar.com, as if you are not satisfied with the faucet repair we are happy to revisits this for you. Last and foremost. Our team truly prides itself on keeping The Art on Highland as clean as it can be, but we are human and may miss one or two items. If our team is notified of anything that needs to be addressed, I assure you that it will be taken care of immediately. I appreciate you taking the time to let us know how you feel, but I encourage you to please email our community manager your concerns so that we can address the repairs you would like to have completed immediately. I like the building and community, the amenities are nice and the location is great, however, there were issues with the condition of my apartment upon move-in and management has been EXTREMELY reluctant to do anything whatsoever to remedy the situation and after several weeks of dealing with this, its becoming an extreme inconvenience and putting a damper on my living experience here.

Lived at the Art for two years and I can say my first year here was way better than my second. Yes, there were some complaints with the old manager however I didn't have a negative experience with them. I've had multiple negative experiences with the new team which seems to be the opposite of some recent reviews. I can admit I have had the leasing office beg me to put a good review for a free fob replacement... and the fob was still broken, I wouldn't be surprised if some of these recent reviews were because of little favors like that. Yes, from other review posters - it is true maintenance does often leave the door unlocked upon leaving and it is true that parking can be a bit of a hassle since they do not really "enforce" it. (Just don't leave your car in front of the leasing office, they WILL enforce that lol). If they check there, why not check all spots that their residents pay for? One time they had gave me a copy of a "warning" to stick on the cars myself..... which... ok well... .... yikes... lol... I don't think I need to say anything further about that. Upon reading the other reviews about move-out... I am now nervous... I literally uploaded the move-out documents myself to the portal and handed a copy to the office so that should be enough if any issues arise. I know I probably won't get my security deposit back despite leaving my apartment being in a condition like I never moved in. I will document photos & take any suggestions on that- wish me good luck! Main reason we are moving out: With our last lease renewal, it was only 5% (under $60ish) and now... they were asking for a 30% increase in rent and for that, I can tell you to run away - it's not worth it. The quality of living has definitely deteriorated, it is a mess - floors are rarely cleaned and elevators smell like urine. The leasing office at times will threaten to close the pool nightly because of the behavior of the 0.05% that live there. If someone was to ask me the convenience of living at the Art and being in Central Phoenix, I still don't think this apartment is worth it and if there's something better in the West or East Valleys for the same price, the commute will be better than bearing through this. You'll probably even get a cheaper place and bigger space. Is the POOL heated? (The tour will tell you yes, but in the summer it is heated due to the heat and I never experienced "heated" in the winter...)

Last, regarding the parking, we also agree, that it is our responsibility to handle any parking concerns. So once again, thank you for letting us know of your experience. Run, do not walk, run in the other direction - management is awful and community is disgusting! Actual apartment is fine, but if you have any issues you will be made to feel bad that you called to get them resolved.

My last apartment was in a college town and it was right next to train tracks. I am actually paying less at The Art and I never hear trains, my neighbors, or late night parties. It's almost as quiet as my parents' house in the middle of the desert. There is also so many amazing food options all within door dash distance which is really the most important aspect of an apartment.
