City - Minneapolis

Boasting an eclectic local culture that combines the best elements of Midwestern personality and metropolitan sophistication, Minneapolis has built a solid reputation as one of the most interesting and exciting cities in the region, and indeed the entire nation. A vibrant urban center in the land of 10,000 lakes, Minneapolis enjoys well-earned attention for its stress-free atmosphere, great bicycling trails, and culturally diverse population. The city’s robust economy has deep roots, with numerous major companies having operated corporate headquarters in the city for decades (in some cases a century or more). In spite of being a major economic hub, the city is full of surprisingly affordable apartments, condos, and rental homes.

If you live in Downtown, getting around in winter is never a problem thanks to the skyway system.

Amazing!

Staying here was such a good decision. The management team and the event coordinators are incredible

4/2/21
Don’t live here

I have lived here for over two years now. While it seems value for money based on lower rents as compared to other properties around it, there is a good reason for it. The building smells of weed all the time. The apartments are often rented for Airbnb or through third party renters. The management claims no responsibility for the misbehaviour, noise or other issues with these kind of tenants. Mask policy is not enforced. Smoking and weed odit are ignored by management unless a tenant reports it (nothing done even then). Additionally, the management takes no responsibility for lost and stolen packages.

Not worth cheap price

I would not recommend living here. I have been here for the 10 months, and there are many issues with the property. The price is cheap, but it is not worth it. I was issued the wrong apartment unit. I have had my bike tires and lights stolen from a secured garage. There is a door handle to outdoor access in the back of the apartment that has been broken for at least 3 months without fix. Unacceptable. Pros: the maintenance staff is fast, there is a nice green space upstairs with good study spaces as well, and management is friendly and quick to respond to issues.

Wonderful apartment- Great stay!

The two bedroom apartment we stayed in was incredible! It was nice having a washer/dryer and great space in the bathrooms for a closet. The workout room was a bonus with a variety of equipment with the perfect view to outside. The location was very convenient with a short walk to campus and restaurants. The windows let the perfect amount of natural light in allowing us to relax and enjoy the day. I was VERY impressed with the management and staff. They were attentive to our needs and very accommodating! I would recommend The Arrow apartments to anyone looking for a single or double room!

I'm writing this review because i care about you

I signed lease on march 2017. I was supposed to move in early September, however they notified resident a week before move-in date that they will have to postpone the move in for two weeks. they delayed another week. after that they delayed another week. Delayed 4 weeks of move in and when i moved-in, the apartment was filled with dust. took me two days to clean my place. They said that they would provide hotel when they announced the delay. They still took the rent money for September when people weren't able to move-in. homeless sleeps at lobby-they don't care. resident's car broke into multiple time-they don't care. Packages were stolen multiple times-they don't care. What they care is make people sign the lease and make sure they can't get out for a year. Make sure you ask resident what it is like to live here and you will get your honest answer.

His is this company still in business???

Not only is the management incompetent but the quality of construction is appalling! Hardware missing or falling off, exterior door does not lock! My father says the quality of the finish work is honestly the worst he has ever seen and he has been a contractor for 30 yers. Forgot to mention that we could not move in when promised, twice. One worker during business hours asked if i wanted to buy dope in the building! Another stopped to ask if i had a smoke and sat smoking with a tenants for 20 min. Another worker was in the hall fixing ceiling and I could not walk by and he was rude about moving and then dropped Sheetrock all over me. If you decide to rent with them, good luck.

great experience

prime place is an apartment that is located in prospect park which is near the university campus

11/20/17
Where's all the Love?

I personally was treated with the utmost respect and patience by the Management. I was impressed by how professional and informational the tour was along with how well the management was able to maintain organization and remain efficient, despite their high demand and work load. Dispite slanderous outbursts and endless character defemation by media and the disgruntled. I can see Prime Place will be a great place to call home.

Not Leasing Here Again

To summarize the pre-move-in scenario, they lied to us about the finish date on three separate occasions bumping back the expected date by one week each time so we wouldn't sign a lease somewhere else and put us in a horrible position for the start of the school year. About the apartments themselves-- with the furnished option, the "wardrobe" provided is about enough to store your socks and underwear but not much more. The two beds do not fit under each other, so most of the bedroom is simply unusable space. The finishing job is terrible-- as the first tennants, we have a chunk out of our kitchen vanity, multiple pieces of trim hanging off, paint smears on cabinets, and half-loose vent covers. The mattresses are so hard that we legitimately thought they were box springs and that the mattresses hadn't been delivered yet until we were told by the managers that they are in fact mattresses. The place has no full-time staff and no parcel delivery service, so your packages are stacked unceremoniously in the lobby where anyone could just pick them up and take them. The general managers, Michael in particular, has been very apologetic and understanding of our grievances-- but there are many things he just can't change. The management company needs to buy new bed-frames, mattresses, and wardrobes. The building needs to have a dedicated mailroom to receive packages and a front desk at least during the daytime. In all, I would sincerely reccomend leasing somewhere else-- there are plenty of good apartments on campus.

"Crime Place" is more accurate

Was told a week and a half before move-in that my room wouldn't be ready until "at most" 2 weeks after class starts. Then, I get an email saying we will get another notification whether it'll even be ready then. Some of my friends won't be able to move in until December. I can excuse the slow communication, there's one guy in charge of dealing with hundreds of angry people. Regardless, spent a month in a hotel, paying for an aprtment I couldn't live in. Have a lawyer look over your contract if you're actually looking to live here for some reason. Plugged in our coffee percolator that has worked fine everywhere else it has been used. Breaker tripped and smoke alarms went off, no smoke coming from the percolator but we could smell burning rubber. This has happened a couple times now, even without the percolator. As an electrical engineer the whole thing reeks of faulty wiring. We talked to Michael and he was super friendly, he had an electrician come in. Electrician looked at the breaker box, said "eh, it's fine" and left. The problem has persisted. There is nowhere for package carriers to put your boxes. There is a pile of people's packages on the floor in the lobby, easily accessible by anyone because the doors aren't locked. Calling the finishing job abysmal would be a compliment. Our countertop is out of alignment, so the trim above the cabinets hangs out the side. There's a paint smear on one of the drawers. The trim throughout the apartment is practically falling off. The bunkbeds provided don't fit under each other so a third of the bedroom is just unusable space. Provided drawer space is enough for your socks and underwear, good luck with the rest because the closet rack looks like it's going to collapse without any weight on it. There's a chunk of wood missing from the vanity in one of the bathrooms. The light fixture in one of the bathrooms is missing its cover. The matresses are so hard we're pretty sure they're box springs that the company is calling mattresses. IF YOU ARE OVER 5'10" DO NOT LIVE HERE. PERIOD. I am 6'2" and these showers are so low that simply washing my hair is going to turn me into an Olympic gymnast by the end of this lease. In conclusion, if you are a midget who doesn't care about severe risk of electrical fires, likes having your amazon boxes stolen, enjoys holes in your trim, and likes being sweet-talked to but doesn't care if customer service actually does anything, then this is the place for you.

Worst apartments ever

The apartments are not ready. The lease was supposed to start on Sept.2 and after a month, my apartment is still not ready (most of the apartments are still not ready - they are in construction). Some friends could move in after a month, to realize that their AC unit cannot be controlled from the apartment... Their thermostat doesn't work and they cannot turn off the AC unit, which is really loud. Horrible management.

I was lied to by Prime Place, now I don't know where I'm living for the school year.

My review is similar to others who were angered at the fact that construction was delayed forcing the hundreds of students who signed leases with Prime Place to not know their living situation for the fall semester just weeks before it begins. However, I think you all need to know more about exactly what happened leading up to this decision. So I called Prime Place a week before the email was sent out to me and asked, is my apartment specifically going to be ready for move in on the correct date. They said yes, Mike, your specific apartment will be ready, although others will not be. This was in late July, around July 30th. On August 1st, the send me an email saying that that was not true, and that I needed to chose between 3 options. I won't bore you with all of them in full, but the first correspondence said this for option 2, the option I selected. "You can choose to have Prime Place find a place for you to live until your apartment is ready...". Seems to suggest that they would find a place for you to live for two months and then you get to move into Prime Place, right? Nope. Their second correspondence omits certain parts of the option that were in the first correspondence and essentially all it was is a termination of the lease. You might be think here, read things carefully before you give a response, but considering the fact that they lied to me about my apartment being ready, told me my specific unit which they knew was not going to be ready, was in fact ready, and then sent an email saying that option two would mean we would move back into Prime Place after two months, they deceived me. I know that by the time you're reading this construction is probably done. You don't have to worry about that. But what you will have to worry about is dealing with liars as property managers. You'll have to know that anything that they say has to be taken with a grain of salt. Maybe two grains. Management has proven to be unreliable and willing to sacrifice the security of its patrons when it is convenient to them. They didn't care about me as a lease holder, so just be careful before assuming they will do any different to you. Best of luck, -Mike

extremely dishonest company

I signed a lease with Prime Place at March 2017 and planned on moving in at 2nd September 2017 right before school starts. And now they just sent me an email told me I can't move into my apt until December, which means I will have no place to live for the whole semester. They only gave me two choices, I can either move in at December and they will give me 1500$ for the inconvenience, or I can just cancel my lease....After two days searching for places, I decided to choose the first option, but all the sudden I received another email from them said they decided to cancel my lease because my contract doesn't have a guarantor which none ever requested me to provide in the first place. Overall, I think Prime place is an extremely dishonest company, which took advantage of students and parents.
