Property Ratings at The Apartments at Denver Place
One star isn’t low enough. It has been nonstop problems since move in. I have compromised a list -Showed one apartment to us as the unit we would be renting. Was fully updated with flooring appliances ect… a week before move in pulled a switch and put us in a different unit that was not renovated, had a broken microwave door and scuffs on the floor. But the original unit wasn’t move in ready??? - One elevator has been down since early November - The remaining working elevator has gone down once a week at min. for 3 weeks straight. - When the “working” elevator goes out no emergency maintenance is available to contact for access to the freight elevator despite being told we will have access and that it’s 24 hour emergency maintenance - When instructed to contact emergency maintenance, any extensions on the apartment phone number goes to VM. They do not provide an emergency maintenance number separately -At least 3 different washing machines and 2 dryers have been broken intermittently for months. This does not include the dryers that the doors do not latch properly - The door to the laundry room, access by key fob, was rejecting key fobs. Again no emergency maintenance on site for the issue. The solution, prop the door open and hope someone didn’t shut it on us. - Hallway smelled of heavy chemicals. Smell seeped into our apartment. Turns out they had used paint thinner on the floor in the apartment next to ours. It’s smelled worse in our apartment than in the hallway. We have 2 pets and they were home all day with the smell as weak. Maintenance told us to open our windows. After 3 hours of them being open the smell is not less strong in our home. - Neighbor had flood in ,assuming their wall. Left a fan in the hallway for well over a week with a cord uncovered crossing the hall - Issues cited at move in almost one year ago have still not been repaired - Consistently given less than 24 hour notice for non emergency maintenance requests to the apartment - Consistent lack of communication about the elevator issues, parking garage cleanings, randomly assigned apartment inspections for them so show the building to “potential investors “. Any notice given is done with less than 24 hrs. And typically done just before office closed for the day.

Our experience here over the last 11 months has been extremely unsatisfactory. We moved in and the apartment was not move in ready (there was a lot of damage and half the appliances didn't work) . After multiple work orders we eventually gave up on getting things fixed. Since then the one of the two elevators has been down for over 6 months (it went down early November) and the other one goes down at least twice a week, if not more. The laundry room always has broken and dirty machines and are expensive to use. This place is going downhill and only getting worse as each day goes by. They say to contact hem to discuss and nothing has come of doing that. I do NOT recommend moving here.

Cons- Elevator issues, hot water issues, heating, and AC issues, not many amenities. Pros- Good location and views.

Very poor experience so far. Views and location are great but the water never works in our apartment like it should and the elevators (which cover 37 floors) is down to one elevator, so I have to add an extra 15 minutes to my travel anytime I want to leave. Very poor experience all around, wish we didn’t have to pay so much to break our lease

The new management team, after 5 years of residing here, is the best it has ever been. This management staff is the best I've experienced out of any that I've had at any of my past residences over 9 years of living in the city. Apartments at Denver Place is an excellent luxury rental apartment building with a great staff and houses excellent residents whom I am proud to call my neighbors and friends. The location is superior to most and the benefit of always being able to appreciate amazing views and or go downstairs for an excellent meal and or drink at Elways enjoying a discount also adds a lot of value and comfort for when winter is especially harsh and getting stir crazy is common to where you do not have to go far to still have a good evening.

This is an amazing place to live. The apartments are spacious compared to any surrounding places at similar cost. They do make up for a lack of modern amenities with the apartment size and gym membership at the nearby Gym. Pretty good service and security.

The Apartments at Denver Place is the perfect community to reside if you work downtown or have a pet. It has the best management team I've ever come across and is always kept very clean by Mireya who does a great job Monday through Friday maintaining the cleanliness of the entire apartment complex.

The ownership group is so pitiful. We rarely, and I mean rarely, have working elevators. If you love to be inconvenienced daily by not being able to get up or down into your home that you pay so much for, this is the place for you!

Living here is a trip. We have only had one elevator basically since I moved in, and the "newly safety inspected elevator" features flickering lights and loud bangs & snapping sounds. We received a $150 rent concession in exchange for only having a single elevator for a 37 floor high rise. The people that work in the leasing office are great, and it doesn't seem to be on them. But you need to run, don't walk away from any property managed by Waterton. Disgraceful.

Not great. But tolerable. There seems to be zero priority for the elevator when it is broken. One of them is broken often. I can’t tell you how much of my time is wasted while waiting for elevators when one is broke. The apartment manager can often seem very rude. The guys that work in the office are friendly. Pretty sure the manager doesn’t like me. My neighbors below complain about me walking around my apartment. The windows were supposed to be washed last December but have yet to be washed. I like my apartment but will consider moving when my second lease is up.

I recently moved to the Denver Place Apartments and my experience has been wonderful. I think they've made big improvements under new management to make this into one of the better apartment buildings to live in Denver. The staff is very friendly and they went out of their way to make sure my move went smoothly. My primary contact during the move-in process was Vincent and he was phenomenal. He was very responsive to my inquiries and very proactive in making sure everything I needed prior to moving in was taken care of. He seemed very sincere in wanting to make sure I had a good experience, and I did. I’ve since dealt with several other members of the staff here and have found them to also be very helpful and friendly. As for the apartment itself, what can I say except I love it here and I think it’s the perfect place for me. My apartment was in excellent shape upon moving in and everything was in good working order. The location is perfect for me. The apartment is quiet. The views are amazing. The fitness club membership which was included is awesome. The lobby and common areas are very well maintained. The complimentary coffee bar in the lobby is a nice touch. Overall, it has just exceeded all of my expectations and I’m very happy here.

I just moved here and had a sofa delivered, the delivery service was a total failure as far as customer service. Christian, a member of staff overheard the problem and selflessly offered to help along with this partner Andrew. Mati, from the front office also worked with the Ritz to get a larger elevator to use. These members of staff saved me so much time and money and helped me out in a time of total stress and anxiety. I can't recommend this location enough, not only is the staff amazing but the apartments themselves are beautiful and in a great location downtown. THANK YOU!!!!
I am a current resident. The issues here are wide ranging. The building itself has many problems. The water is turned off 3-4 days out of each month to do maintenance and repairs on units. When it is turned back on it can take 6-8 hours before we have hot water again. The elevators break down on average twice a month often times trapping people inside. they are currently replacing the elevators which will take at least another 6 months making problems even worse. The heater is extremely inefficient and needs to run constantly to have any chance in the winter. Water has unexpectedly come out of the faucets above 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Tenants pile trash in the trash room and even allow their dogs to pee and poop in the halls with little action from management. If you are looking for an apartment downtown there are plenty of nearby options. this place is not worth it. I will happily update my review if conditions change.
Wife and I applied here online from out of town. Paid all the app and admin fees of almost $300. Four days and all emails and phone calls go unanswered. Can't actually get a hold of anyone to figure out what is going on. At this point have to dispute the charges on my card and move on to the next complex. Avoid this place at all costs if looking to move from out of town and you can't make it into their office.

This place is a cross between Communist bloc housing and a frat house. What's worse is that the staff is extremely unprofessional. My husband and I lived here for several years while we waited for our home to be built. I am a landlord myself and I would never dream of treating tenants the way they treat tenants at Apartments at Denver Place. Here are just a few examples. The staff, if they were in the office at all, were usually online shopping or on Facebook all day. If you come in and try to speak with them, they stare at their phones. Yes, literally look down at their phones while you are trying to speak with them. They will frequently ignore you (female staff member walked right in front of me as I was waiting for the elevator to go check herself out in the lobby mirror. We were the only two people in the lobby), ignore your emails (until you wait and wait and then follow up AGAIN), ignore your maintenance requests and requests for things that were promised in the lease (gym membership?), and they will try to get your car towed as retribution if you complain (meanwhile allowing other cars to park for days - see pictures). Maintenance issues take forever to get resolved or never get resolved at all (see pictures). Time after time, we put in maintenance requests, waited weeks, and we ALWAYS had to put in repeated requests for the same thing before someone in the office finally conveyed it to maintenance. Now, after we've moved out, they're trying to take our deposit for things we requested to be fixed. What a scam. One year, they tried to sneak in a $200 pet deposit into our lease agreement, even though we have no pets. We caught them on that too. They also sneak in a $90 monthly "utility" charge AFTER they purportedly tell you what your rental terms are, even though the utilities are questionable (see below). Twice we had to carry our luggage up 26 flights of stairs because both elevators were out of service. It may look like there's 5 elevators at your disposal, but almost all of them are unavailable or out of service, causing huge delays in a 36 floor apartment. The hot water frequently goes out completely and we would have to take cold showers in the morning. Security is a huge issue. Apartments at Denver Place is directly across the street from a Greyhound Bus Station (photos). Transients hang around the apartments, and you will be harassed, yelled at, cursed at, sexually propositioned, and even spit on.
Save your money! This place is not what it used to be, maintenance requests are never completed, the staff is very horrible at managing just about anything in the premise and the building. No responsibility, all he said she said. Every three - six months they have a new property manager.
I have lived at the Apartments at Denver Place for about 4 months now and thus far it has been the best rental I've encountered in Colorado! (and I've had a few..) The location in perfect for getting anywhere in the downtown area whether it be the 16th street malls or the ball park bar area... not to mention the easy access to i25. The staff is always friendly and helpful but what really sold me was the view. No where in Denver can beat it. No matter the unit, you are guaranteed a stunning picturesque outlook that will wow anyone. After moving frequently due to rent hikes and bad renting experiences I think I have finally found a place that will keep me around for the foreseeable future!
