If you love baseball — particularly if you love the Chicago Cubs — there's only one neighborhood for you: Lakeview! Bordering Lake Michigan on the north side of Chicago directly above Lincoln Park, Lakeview houses one of Chicago’s most popular destinations: Wrigley Field. Originally built in 1914 for Federal League’s Chicago Whales, Wrigley Field is one the oldest still-operating stadiums in the MLB. It was renamed Wrigley Field in 1926 by then-owner William Wrigley Jr., a chewing gum manufacturer.
Of course, there's more to Lakeview than baseball. From the luxury high-rise apartments along Lake Shore Drive to the tree-filled streets and single-family homes in Graceland West, there's something for everyone in Lakeview. This large neighborhood consists of several smaller enclaves, including Wrigleyville, Boystown, and North Halsted. Lakeview features several theaters, such as the Music Box Theater and the Playground Theater, as well as music venues and shops.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Annabelle Apartments
I went to a scheduled viewing and while I was waiting for my appointment time another man who had an appointment one hour before me had to come on our tour because the dude forgot about him or something I guess. As soon as he walked in he was running around frantically and his secretary told me he was in a rush to leave even though I had scheduled this a week in advance anyways he was like practically making me and this other guy run just to keep up with him which I was here to potentially see about a home which is not a rushed decision. While going to see the units i had some difficulty trying to turn on the shower due to me not being strong enough because it wouldn’t budge and I made a note that it was not working, of course he goes in and it turns on when he does it the water turns on and then was pretty rude about it saying “oh it doesn’t work now does it?” It was weird, he was also like shouting and chomping gum the whole time. Anyways not even like 30 seconds after we shut the door he flat asked me “do you want it or not?” Anyways the place isn’t ugly but it’s pretty small but I just got bad vibes all around my gut just told me to stay away.

This does not sound right at all. I'm terribly sorry you had such a bad experience. I'm wondering if you are reporting on the wrong community. There isn't a secretary at the community. We'd like to learn more. You can reach our Assistant Regional Manager at 312-553-9070. Please ask for Danny. If he isn't immediately available, he will be sure to call you back. We're looking forward to your call. Thank you for sharing this experience.
I liked it when I first moved in but now the staff and the residents don’t seem to care. Residents act entitled, like they can leave their garbage wherever they want and someone else will clean it. There are so many drug addicts, running up and down the fire escapes, blasting their music late at night. Someone got 25 noise complaints and the police called on them many, many times and no eviction and the first floor smells awful. As for my apartment, it’s a nice studio, but the plumbing is awful. The ceiling in my bathroom caved in because of water a leak, caused by a mistake made by maintenance and now it’s doing the same thing and the management is making me wait a full day until anyone will even look at it. Do they want their building to literally fall apart? Our current property manager doesn’t care and it shows. I want to like this person, but after my first interaction, I can tell they’re just collecting a check and phoning it in. It’s location is it’s only saving grace at this point, but there are better options for cheaper.
Let me start this review off by saying, Roberto, the property manager, is fantastic. I have never had a property manager that cares so much about the tenants. I am new to Chicago, and Roberto helped me a lot with moving in, and getting settled. The building is an older style, with a beautiful interior. I really feel at home here. If there is ever an issue, management fixes it. Highly recommend that you check it out!
