The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Terre at Oak
My wife and I had our first apartment here. Caroline was our manager the whole time and we are truly sad to have to leave. If we could stay we would. We love Caroline and our apartment. The community is clean and well maintained. Maintenance is always friendly and helpful. We actually had two different apartments here during our time and neither one had any pest problems. We are truly going to miss it. And Jonsie (our puppy) is going to miss Caroline and her treats too. Honestly, I’ve lived in so many places in my life. If you need a quiet and comfortable clean and affordable apartment in Romona or close to San Diego, this is a GREAT spot. Don’t pay attention to the negative reviews. My wife and I read them and don’t agree they have any valid basis since Caroline has really turned the property around. If you have cockroaches in bed with you, they are obviously in your apartment because they found something they want to have more of (food). Clean up after yourselves haha. We didn’t have any roaches or other pests at all in either apartment. None.
Number one is the roach problem which according to other reviews has been an issue for over a decade. The new manager seemed to be helpful but every time I say I saw another one or even worse, I’ve been seeing baby cockroaches, she has some excuse. They have used gel twice now and it hasn’t worked and she says she can’t get anyone to spray until spring?? Meanwhile I’m waking up to a baby roach on my breakfast and an adult in my bed. Number two are the obnoxious neighbors. Everyone talks extremely loud with their doors wide open, it’s like no one has any concept of respect or decency. The windows are built extremely poorly and shake and rattle every time someone walks upstairs. And you can hear everything through them. Screaming kids play and run around in the parking lot with no supervision. Stray cats roam around everywhere. This is honestly such a terrible place to live. Management does not really care about anything but their image.
My boyfriend and I were extremely excited to have our own place and thought these apartments would be perfect. We only lived in these apartments for 5 months but that was enough for us. These apartments do have roaches and no matter how hard we tried to get rid of them, they always came back. Gail wouldn't even give us the gate code because "too many people already have the code." We lived here and we couldn't have the gate code? After we moved out we expected to get a majority of our $500 deposit back but we didn't of course. They charged us $120 For cleaning the apartment even though we spent hours and hours cleaning that apartment from top to bottom. They also charged us $120 for touch up paint in the whole unit and in the cabinets even though they only had to paint a few spots where we had patched up holes in the walls from hanging pictures. The cabinets were in the same exact condition they were in when we moved in so we shouldn't have of been charged for that at all. If you have more than one car good luck finding a spot! Every night there were cars there that should not have been there. Overall we would NEVER recommend these apartments to anyone, if you're looking for a nice place to live I would keep looking!
These apartments are a good value for the area. They are a bit old and in need of some remodeling, but the size of the apartments is great. They are pet firiendly too which is a plus. There's not a lot of places to hang out, there's a pool area and a BBQ area, but other than that it's just the parking lot. I will say though that it is very convenient to everything in town.
I was finally moving out of my parents place and looking for my very first apartment. I had had a whole list of appointments of apartments all around North San Diego County, and I took pictures of all of the places and notes to later show my boyfriend who would be living with me. He imidiately feel in love with the place. Our 2 bedroom, 1 Bath is perfect for us and his daughter on the weekends. With 800ft², walk in closet in the master bedroom, and a HUGE bathroom, with laminate throughout half the apartment, we were sold. The best part was that we are spending $200-450 less than we would anywhere else, for more space. The property manager has always been very helpful and fixes any problems quickly too. It's gated and not a huge complex, so it has a nice sense of community and there are other small children here for my boyfriend's daughter to play with. With a laundry facility on site and a gated pool, it's a perfect match for any young couple or small family to live, it's even pet friendly (we have 3 cats)! The only downside is we only have one assigned parking space and other parking is limited and they need better landscapers. All in all, I have been here for almost 2yrs and I don't see a reason to find a new place!
