Situated just over three miles northwest of Downtown Minneapolis, Glenwood Junction consistently ranks as one of the best suburbs in Minneapolis. There’s a diverse renter population here, including families, students, commuting professionals, and everyone in between. Residents praise the area for its attractive streets, lush landscape, nearby parks, and top-notch schools.
There’s a modest selection of restaurants, shopping centers, and entertainment options scattered around the neighborhood, the bulk of which you’ll find along Highway 55. But the main calling card of Glenwood Junction is Theodore Wirth Regional Park, and the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden. Both green spaces give the area a lush feel and make it a welcome escape from the city that lies just a few minutes away.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Talus Apartments
Talus is a safe community in which I feel comfortable. Management is always willing to handle any complaints and have plenty of friendly events in which we can meet out neighbors. No complaints.
Talus is a very comfortable place to live. They have a nice quiet clean neighborhood and a staff that really cares
My husband and I have lived at Talus Apartments for several years and really enjoy it, especially under the new Management, Monument. Slowly but surely they are making improvements and updates. The office staff is awesome, extremely caring, friendly, informative and attentive. Every month, they offer at least one community building event, like a yoga class or pretzel day. We have respectful neighbors and the area is nice and quiet. It's a quick drive to stores and right along a bus line. It's a nice place to live!
Lived there for two years changed owners a couple times the new owners their management team sucks she’s very rude. Doesn’t really care about anything garbage piles up everywhere kids knock on the door, yelling and screaming running up and down the hallways. Dogs crap in the hallways. garage doors are always broken. Same with the controlled entry, you have to pay your own electric bill plus commons, electric gas and water which means you pay for the elevator electricity the heaters in the underground parking everything that is used in the hallways. The billing system is horrible ice builds up in front of the doors because they don’t clean the gutters and it gets super icy a couple times. It’s actually froze the door shut with layers of ice , they rarely plow the place on time they don’t tell you you have to pay all that extra stuff plus the underground parking spot is $35 save yourself the headache and the time and don’t rent there and PS right before I moved out they were installing their washer and dryer in so-called units exclusively. I talked to the guys installing them and looked at what they were doing. They basically just took out a closet and put a double Dekker washer dryer in the closet, wiring and some plumbing hack job.
This place is rundown, out of date, and filthy. The photos they have up are deceiving as most of their units are not updated and a completely different design. White appliances, and brown floors... On top of that the staff seem not to care at all about the building or the satisfaction of their residents. Very lackluster and rude.
New management is not kind or welcoming. As a resident, I do not feel that the management cares about the building or its residents. The building is dirty. There is always trash in the halls and left behind furniture that stays for weeks. The new guest parking rule is a joke. If you call the office with questions no one will have an answer and you will not get a call back. No matter how time sensitive. No customer service whatsoever. This place does not feel like home. You are not treated like a resident. You are treated like a warm body to pay rent and that’s it. I will not be renewing.
My friend and I set up a tour with them and they confirmed the tour with us. We drove over a half hour to get there and the office was locked and no one was there. Someone working there told us to come back tomorrow because everything had left early for the day. No one communicated this to us. Poor communication didn't indicate good management in my opinion.
Loved the apartment setting, very spacious, warm colors, gym and pool. I would only ask for a better heating services in the apartment and the heated pool. I would also transform the room next to the office to be a business center, where you can go to work a little bit and use fast speed internet - that would lead to a 100% satisfaction. The only thing I could not change is the mood of the residents. They don't know how lucky they are to have a very good condo for a cheap price. I loved my experience.
The management is horrible at doing anything about any issues that come up. They’ve locked the garbage chutes so paying tenants can no longer use them. Garbage piles up outside and all over the property and even in the hallways sometimes. They never ever plow the driveway after a snow, give them two weeks and maybe they’ll do it if they feel like it. Kids knock on doors late at night and run away disturbing tenants. The laundry rooms were broken for two months before they ever got fixed, And still only half the laundry units work. The rent has gone up $400 in a year, THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH THE PAY!!!!! Too expensive for a horrible property that does not care. Oh and maintenance only gets fixed about half the time, they filed one request as finished and they never showed up to our unit to fix the issue. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE DONT LIVE HERE
It's a nice place overall.
Friendly staff Clean and quiet building
Worst place, May be they have some connection with towing agency and for no reason they would the cars and earn money.
I'd recommend anyone to this apartment community. It' clean and smells good..also well taken care of. The people in the office are great!
YES
It is quite peaceful and is a smoke free apartment.
I have already recommended the apartment to a family member who recently ml over in.
My side of the building is very clean on the first floor but everytime I go to the other side of the building there is trash on the ground or walls are busted. I would recommend because of the convenience of getting on the highway and new property managers are great
It's a good place to live . And you have the staff that care about the community and that's how all places should be .care about there community.
I've only lived at Talus for one month so far, but I have really enjoyed living here compared to the place that I moved from.
I like it as the people are friendly here and also when something breaks they get it fixed.
