Sycamore Woods is a wonderful little complex. The apartments are spacious and nice, the neighbors are welcoming, and the grounds are well taken care of. Maintenance is quick and efficient. I would highly recommend living here.

Dog park was the only improvement made since I moved in. Lost fitness center, pool. Lack of central air makes it hot and muggy in summer. Currently no heat for a week in January… be better.

I've been here a year and it is very overpriced and they don't even have amenities. You can only use the workout room when the office is open. The utilities are not included and are pricey as well.

Well overpriced utilities that are not metered that are put on everyone in the building. Every place around here is at least $200 cheaper to live in what I pay for a one bedroom is 2 to 3 bedroom and other places.

Invasive workers, broke my belongings several times, ruined months of work without warning. Basement floods so regularly they stopped allowing people to keep things in the storage but didn't change the price of rent accordingly. Utilities are faulty at best, employees are negligible and rude.

I moved here in August 2021 and I've had problems with my upstairs neighbors since I moved in. They have constant traffic all day and night, including yelling and fighting. There are major issues with crime and the management does nothing. Stay away; this place is way overpriced for what you get.

This is a great community run by people who care. Neighbors talk to each other and hold the door open for each other, conflict is mediated and concerns are addressed. Overall this place is light years ahead of some of the other communities I’ve lived at in Madison. It’s just super welcoming.

I have Lived here since 2017. Since I have been here the office staff are very nice. Maintenance is usually done with 2 business days. Rent is a little over priced but they have cleaners to clean hallways, parking lot maintenance is done regularly. Laundry facility is always clean. They really try to do everything to make sure you are satisfied. You can’t control your heat. I really Dislike that because WE have to pay for it. So why can’t we control when we don’t want it lol.
When you do a showing, they will show you the model unit, NOT one that anyone has ever lived in.This place is WAY overpriced for what you're getting. No utilities are included. We had mice, roaches and something living in the ceiling. The apartment door has about a 2" gap so bugs and critters can just walk through. The gap also causes you to hear everyone in the building. The place was filthy when we moved in and the dishwasher barely worked. The balcony on some of the 2nd floor units is a "shared" balcony. So lock your patio door for sure. But, it's right by a park and the person working in the office is very nice, which is great. It just doesn't make up for how bad this place is.
Tomorrow will be the third day without heating in March..
when I moved in none of my outlets worked. my stove had one eye not working. never got them all fixed. cabinets messed up. when I had art put in they had to make a jack. my refrigerator was out for 3 months. RUN AWAY.. DONT MOVE HERE. WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER LIVED
Decent apartment for the price, allows pets and just revamped some of the apartments. However used the cheapest fixings, doors and windows possible. Plus side the maintenance guys are fast when there is a maintenance emergency. However they keep getting rid of people I hear because they keep selling off to new owners and lately brought in the worst apartment Managment possible. Long story short if you can handle police sirens and need a mid price apt for the city this place is one of the better ones.
