Property Ratings at Sycamore Fort Mill
Here’s my forewarning: ignore 5 star reviews that are less than a year old. Mgmt has changed and those that posted have JUST moved in and are reviewing their move-in experience. The below review is from a two year experience. Pay $5 monthly for pest control but they don’t come unless you call the office every week at least 3 days before Thursday. Need a new filter? Request before the weekend. Maintenance will not bring you a filter on those days. If you have allergies like me, just buy your own. You can find better quality than what they provide and can get it when YOU need it. Vandalism. On Christmas 2020, kids threw eggs on people’s cars including my husband’s brand new purple Dodge Challenger. Since we were out of town, the eggs ate away some of the paint. Ac unit is constantly freezing over. So at least once a week, during the summer, we had to call someone to fix the unit. Paid $50 for a parking pass and still got a tow sticker because my decal was expired. My decal expired Dec 31st, 2021. I paid the taxes in December but had not received my updated decal. On January 10, 2022 i had a bright orange tow sticker on my car window that took HOURS to get off. State of SC grants a 30 day grace period before your tag is considered expired. Sycamore felt differently. This leaves me uneasy because this means any little thing they can put one of these orange stickers on my car. And since i work from home, my car can be towed without me realizing it. If you bring a pet, don’t bother paying the pet fee or even telling them you have a dog. When you move out, they’re still going to charge you $400+ to replace a carpet, if your dog has an accident. Whether the carpet was old or brand new, you will still have to pay to have it replaced. If you do decide to tell them you have a dog, make sure you write “old carpet” on your move in sheet. That way, they won’t charge you. Maintenance does not give 24 hrs before entering for inspections. Maybe the office is supposed to but countless times I’ve had someone enter saying they were knocking so that they could do an “inspection.” However, if i’m in the back room, working, and I wasn’t expecting anyone, i won’t answer the door. I do not recommend this place AT ALL!!
New leasing office with sycamore is very rude. Old apartments are overpriced. Can’t wait to move
With the recent changes of the owner to Sycamore. Paid the rent on time, but being charge for late charge, approach to their office and said they can’t help and I have email to specific person for follow up.
We have lived here for two years and we’ve had 20 leaks inside those two years, the property is only perfect around the front office and the model they show potential renters. The pool is the only “benefit” of these high priced dwellings. We can’t WAIT to move!!!
2 months after signing our 3rd lease got an email we must sign an amendment and pay an additional monthly fee for the washer and dryer, that was here when we moved in. I thought that was why we pay more than others in the same style apartment here. I was told by office management that they should have been doing this all along and if we don't sign they will come and remove the equipment. I called and left a message with the district office in Atlanta with no call back. Just so you know there are no laundry facilities here as they advertise. There is a front closet space that.fits a washer and dryer comfortably. You can rent from them or bring your own.

I loved it here at first. The apartment itself is perfect. The rest is a nightmare. Junkies leave needles around where the kids play. People throw food out into the lots, trash everywhere. It's impossible to contact the staff by phone, email, or person. I've called over and over with voicemail to no response. You're a check not a person. Maintenance is impossible to get to come out. No air? Who cares. Back door wide open? Not a real problem. Doors don't lock, not an emergency. Light bulbs out? Oh well. I am stoked for this end to leave in 5 months so I can live somewhere else.

It is a very room and stylish apartment. Big kitchen and good appliances. Ceiling fans that keep the areas cool and comfortable. Big soaker tub inone bathroom and good sized shower in the other. Balcony that fits a table and 2 chairs with extra room to decorate. Some amenities are a cardio room and a weight room beautiful clubhouse and outdoor living space with bbqs and a salt water pool that goes up to 4 feet.
