All the staff is amazing - in fact, this is on my top 2. However, there was a Crack in the wall under the window in the room we were shown, so the apartments have some minor issues. I'm still deciding, but I may end up living here.

Summit On The Lake was the first apartment complex I ever lived in. My excitement diminished quickly as I started to see cockroaches after a week of living there. I first reported this issue to the previous leasing manager, and it was brushed under the rug. This then led to an even bigger issue, where I was seeing 15-20 German Cockroaches a day. When the new (and current) leasing manager became aware of it, my apartment was assessed by pest control and I was told there was an infestation but "ground zero" was not in my apartment and another one next to me. I was told to seal all my food, keep my apartment clean, and not leave crumbs or dishes around. I am a full time college student that also works full time, so you can imagine I didn't have a lot of time to create messes- and if I did then I was diligent in making sure it was cleaned up. I spent the entire year lease living with roaches, and received over 6 German Cockroach Treatments. I was constantly sick while living there, and I assumed it was due to the chemicals that were being used in my apartment over and over again remained ineffective. Despite the treatments that I received, the roaches kept living and continued to be an issue even towards the last week of me living at Summit on the Lake. When the roaches became an issue for the apartments above and next to me building 1 was told that every apartment would receive a clean out and we would have to pay. After multiple conversations and explaining why I would not be paying for the treatment of something that was there before me-> I received the treatment free of charge, which was the least they could do considering this was now month 7 of living with roaches. I was extremely disappointed that after moving out of state, my first apartment had an infestation. When it came time to move, I had to throw out multiple items in fear of transferring roaches to my new apartment. I think that the people that run Summit On The Lake are nice, but unfortunately are trying to manage an apartment complex that is too old to be fixed. Another thing to be aware of when considering leasing here is that there is no gate, and anyone can drive through the complex. As a female, this did not make me feel safe. At the end of the day, I wish I had nicer things to say, and a more positive experience here. If you lease here you will be lucky to meet people who care about their job, but unlucky to live with different critters and strangers coming and going.

This apartment is perfect for someone starting out. The ladies are AMAZING in the office and will work with your needs. I have lived here for the past 3 years and have loved it. I have made good friends with the neighbors and enjoy coming home.

Not only are the apartments nice as well as the property but the office staff is absolutely amazing. I’ve lived in apartments for over a decade and this is by far my favorite. Easy access to 820 and Lake Worth. Close to food, grocery, fun stuff to do plus more. Lots of floor plans, I love my layout. I would recommend these as one of the best in Lake Worth.

I really love living here! The office staff is awesome & so friendly. Maintenance is quick to take care of everything. The view of the lake is amazing!
Very attractive for Fort Worth etc.. On a hill with trees, but its very old, few amenities. Maintenance is really good. They apparently raised the rent for every unit by $200 in about a 2 year time span. Staff is helpful, but it's time to go. Not worth the price.
We are living here for last 4 years. I found this place a wonderful place with a best rent around this area. Office management is very cooperative, I never ever had to wait for any maintenance, as I called them and they sent someone immediately to fix issue. Once I had a problem with our stove and here they are, they gave us a new one within an hour. No roaches or bugs problem, they spray regularly and take care of property in a nice way. A very peaceful and calm neighborhood. I will say an ideal place to live with a peace of heart for caring management.
Roaches every building. Every building has roof leaks they refuse to fix along with foundation problems. The management here is awful and lie. Money hungry with no sense of customer service. Leave here is you want. enjoy the roaches and over priced apartment.. you been warned.
The so-called "customer service" at this complex is a joke. Ask for information, get smiles and non-answers. They act like everything is fine and then send you a bill for charges you don't owe and claim you should have known information that was never disclosed (and doesn't even exist!). The regional manager is an offensive, rude woman who doesn't listen and treats you like a criminal when you ask for explanations. And if the staff wasn't bad enough, the apartments themselves are horrendous. Old and worn-down with hundreds of layers of peeling paint, and mold in every vent. Good luck getting anything fixed. Our kitchen sink faucet would pop off of the base every time we turned the water on and it took 6 months to get it fixed. They never fixed our broken ice machine or the microwave that would spark and burn when it was turned on. Over-charging for despicable service levels and apartments reminiscent of an old haunted house - this complex is an abomination.
Since day 1 Janette, the manager, has been unprofessional, inconsistent, and unresponsive. We had an APPOINTMENT to deliver the deposit and sign our rental agreement however, when we showed up she was completely unprepared and asked us to come back later! That should have been the first bad sign. Since living here for the last 6 months we have been neglected multiple times with our maintenance requests. It typically takes 2 weeks to get someone over here for a simple repair. To date we have been waiting for 2.5 weeks for a leaky faucet to be repaired! We have to constantly go ask them the status of said repairs. They typically don't bother answering calls&don't return our messages for days, so we are forced to rearange our schedules to make time to stop by the office, which is extremely inconvenient. Another issue I have had lately is picking up my various package deliveries from the office. They are completely unorganized and have no solid system for their tenants. In fact, they don't even notify us when a package does arrive! I honestly only know I have a package waiting for me if it's something I personally bought online and I know it's estimated delivery date! Today for example, I KNEW a package was going to be delivered and I KNEW it would be delivered to the apt office because I gave specific instructions to ups to do so...when I went to pick up my package on the way home from work Janette told me there was no package for me! BUT when I got home there was a notice on my front door from ups that said my package was delivered to the office, just as I had requested! Wow! When I attempted to go back to get it, the office was closed!
I was turned away due to a Bankruptcy. The supervisor at this apartment complex embarrassed me by telling me, I was not welcomed as a Tenant not even with a co-signer and Cash Money up front to pay for my apartment. I just sold my home and was downsizing. Quote: Fort Worth is Very Strict with Their Credit on Whom They Allow to Rent From Us! If she told me her name, I do not remember. She had black hair. I don't appreciate having her look down on me for something that should not have kept me from having a decent place to live and I was able to pay for it and on time as I have always done. Bankruptcy should not be the end of a person's life. I am over 60.
