The place is rotting and falling apart. It also has a lot of problems with cockroaches and other insects. The business also messes with your credit without warning. Avoid these guys and rent somewhere else.

Been living here for four years and it’s been pretty solid. Recently new management has come in and they have been utterly incompetent in regards to repairs. They decided to do pool maintenance two weeks before memorial day. Poole didn’t open until well into the season. Recently, they had the bright idea to close the gym right before new years. Initially they planned to open before February 1st. They were very uncommunicative during this time. Consistently they send out email saying it would be open on X day, the gym would still be closed on that day without any follow-up. I emailed management multiple times, called them several times as well, requesting for some form of compensation. Management never responded to any of my emails, nor return any of my left voicemails. If amenities or something you care about do not choose this as a place to stay. I’m sure management will be communicative when you start looking at signing a lease, however, once you sign the leave you in the dark.

Please do not live here. I moved in for grad school in 2018 because the rent was affordable but ever year since not only have they increased our rent substantially, but the new management is flat out terrible. They will not take care of emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner and will blow off residents who bring up concerns. Our upstairs neighbors water heater burst and it has been three weeks since that and the only action that has been taken by them was to repaint one of the three ceilings had significant damage. Even to get them to do that required DAILY phone calls, emails, and follow ups. They will tell you a date when someone is supposed to come but then no one will show up. They seem irritated to have to be dealing with residents, but they’ll pay us to try and lure other chumps into living here. They double charge for trash and pest control above what is mentioned in the legal agreement (lease) that we sign and cannot give an explanation as to why beyond it is a required fee. I have more reasons to not live here but at the risk of turning into a manifesto I will digress. 0/10 recommend.

I've been here two weeks. I love my apartment. Management and office staff are responsive and helpful. Neighbors have been friendly. The atmosphere is very positive. I love that I can be near nature at Lake Johnson and near shopping at the same time. Im also in a dog friendly building which is great since I have a dog.

Avent Ferry is an awesome place to live if you want walking and Biking accessible trails. I love the area and office staff and maintenance they are GREAT here at Avent Ferry apartments!! The apartments themselves are getting older and the Electric Bill here is way too high i feel. Would i move here if i was thinking about moving to this area? The answer to that is YES i would.

Friendly, homey atmosphere and very close to nature which I love. Staff is the best Ive ever dealt with and they keep pool, dog area and courts clean at all times.

The customer service is wonderful and the maintenance team is always on time! The onsite facilities are clean! However, after living here for a little while, I noticed that the buildings seem to be very old. Beware of mold, leaking windows, and lots of insects (cockroaches, spiders, centipedes)...

The entire sub-lease process was seamless and very pleasant. I had a minor issue upon moving in, put in a work order and my problem was fixed immediately. Overall great experience so far!

When I moved in, the rent was competitive and worth the value, but two years later, I disagree. Ongoing, serious maintenance issues that take too long to resolve and disrupt my life occur every 2-3 months, and with the rent increase, it's no longer a decent value for the money. The community is quiet and everyone is friendly. It's in a great location, but if you are working with a decent budget, you can do better for the price.

Location is convenient. Price is ok for location. Buildings are old. For nonsmokers, ventilation is an issue. Maintenance is super helpful and knowledgeable but it takes forever to resolve issues. Wouldn't choose it again, but it was ok for what I needed at the time.

The staff at Summit Avent Ferry is always friendly and helpful!
Pros: The location of the apartment is near NC State, which is very convenient for me, and the apartment size was average with all the amenities that you may need included. The price that I got was reasonable, but it varies over time. Cons: The apartment was a little dusty when I received it, and some of the doors were jammed. A good thing is that they fixed it quickly after i talked to them.
Poor management and maintenance, old buildings, roaches, not prompt in addressing resident concerns. Worst.
Long response times for mantence issues. And even when maintenance shows up, I wish I had fixed it myself instead.
Sadly, this is some if the worst customer service, maintenance and management. The properties are old (they look nothing like those pictures) and have constant maintenance and pest issues. The management does not respond to service requests and it can take months for things to be repaired and addressed.
