Summer Pointe Apartments

I've lived here for the past 1 year and have had my fair share of ups and downs with the apartment place, however it has been pleasant living here for the most part. Management slightly changed since then, but they stay vigilant in helping their tenants feel at ease. Repairmen service comes in promptly and addresses issues well. No complaints here, just wish there were fewer bugs around but that's to be expected when living near a forest-y region.

Our new assistant manager Kareka is God sent! She is patient ,knowledgeable, and understanding to her tenants. I have been living at this property for 4 months and wasn’t aware of things I was paying for nor some of the amenities this property has. Kareka sat with me and explained everything with me and made sure I received a trash can that I’m paying for as well as a gym key . Even after all that she called and checked on me Monday morning. Best Service I’ve received at this property!

Love the complex the the new manager Keshia is amazing. She worked with me every step and answer every question.

Nice clean and up to date... great location

Have been here for 2.5 years and 3 owners / management changes have occured. Systems and ownership should stabilize so residents know what to expect.

This entire apartment complex is riddled with people who smoke marijuana. You call the office and report these people and they seem to not care as long as they pay their rent. I have a son and I know many others have children as well and their health and safety is at risk because of it. I'm tired of this. I like it over here it's quiet, but it's bad when you have to walk around the parking lot to keep from walking through a cloud of smoke. I spoke to someone in the office named Robin and she was so unconcerned about it to the point where I got really upset and hung up the phone. We pay too much in rent to have to endure this. As soon as we find somewhere else to move, we are gone. This is a beautiful complex, but is a terrible place to live because of this.

This one of the worst apartments you can live in the Shreveport-Bossier area. I learned the hard way, save yourself some trouble and avoid this placement at all costs!! I’ve lived at this apartment complex for over two years. Management has changed A LOT since 2017, even more so recently. Over the pass couple of months, I finally decided to sign out of my lease early and head for the hills. I noticed the quality of the apartments started to go down hill when the current manager, Keisha, took over the responsibility of the grounds. Pest control no longer comes out to the units and rodents, such as gnats and roaches are always a problem. I personally notified the front office numerous of times before repairs were made. Also, my bathroom was covered in black mold and it took over a week for maintenance to address the issue. (I have pictures!) Finally, Management is not polite over the phone and during a conversation they insisted on arguing with me about the mold in the apartment. On top of that, they will add additional unauthorized fees to my rent balance without your consent. I had enough of how management treats the residents at this place, especially to those how always pay in full, on time, every month. The only upside to this place is that when the maintenance man, David, is notified of a issue, he always does an excellent job with the repairs.

My move in date my apt as I WAS TOLD was supposed to be ready at 9 I came and got the key at 9am and the apt wasn’t even ready . It was a old oven in my dining room area and the apt hadn’t even been cleaned, so they moved me in a smaller unit but the rent price BARELY CHANGED Maybe 30.00 less , they didn’t accommodate me for the first mistake when I moved In I called and told them how disappointed I was about everything that I was told when I first moved in too now and she offer to too take off on my rent for the next month but she used my deposit to take it off I never got it back , 2 months later I’m using the kitchen sink , and my dishwasher flooded the entire kitchen, I had towels over the entire floor until the maintenance man came hours late to fix it and it flooded again they management didn’t do anything about it either . So another month or two flies by and we cut the heat on because it was chilly in the house next think I know we smell something burning and the smoke detector goes off the apt fills with smoke and we have too evacuate every body out of the building we stay in because the heating unit (THAT IS MAN MADED , and this came out of the maintenance man’s mouth) caught fire so after the fire dpt tore our bathroom up and I have pictures, we couldn’t shower in our bathroom for 4 days and then another 5 days after the tub was resurfaced there was no real clean up me and my husband had to do it , they didn’t apologize or accommodate us another apt or hotel for us not being able to use our bathroom, I lost my job and my husband got paid every week we only owed 300 on our rent and the manager filed eviction on us within 10 days of the beginning of the month on the 20th I had less than 3 days to move out and I couldn’t even talk to the judge for a appeal . And the still want me to pay them . I wouldn’t recommend nobody to go stay with a bunch of liars.

Love my home here at Summer Pointe! The neighborhood is really nice. The lake is beautiful and the breeze coming of the water helps in the summer time! The maintenance guys are the best. They are really friendly and get what needs to be fixed done in a timely manner. Not sure what the person in the comment below is talking about because I always have a good experience with the management and office staff. They are friendly, easy to talk to, and make you feel right at home. They also always have coffee in the office for residents which is a perk! The apartments are well insulated. I live downstairs between 2 other apartments and I never hear anything. There has been construction on property but I am excited to see the improvements. The new retaining walls look awesome, the new flowers beds are gorgeous, and I cannot wait for the new DOG PARK to be ready! All in all I am so glad I picked Summer Pointe as my new home. I do not plan on leaving any time soon. You really should come take a look!

Walls and ceilings are paper thin. These apartments are in a good neighborhood for the most part. You will have to tell your neighbors to stop partying all night if you want any sleep because no matter how many times you complain, the management will not do anything about it. In fact, any complaint you have you will be talked out of and end up with no solution most of the time. Parking is terrible. They always show the front apartments where it is quiet, kept up, and nice. However you will most likely end up in a middle/back apartment where it is quite the opposite. The management is the worst part. Extremely unprofessional. They are nice to prospective residents and they are super friendly when its time to renew your lease, any time other than that they could care less about you. Most of the time when I need something the girl who answers doesn't even have an answer to my questions or a solution to a problem, she always insist the manager is out and will call back later. (I've never gotten a call back). They always have some kind of loud in the way construction going on, ALWAYS. Maintenance repairs take weeks, the front porch light on my apartment has been out since I moved in nearly a year ago even though I've complained multiple times. Complaining about anything is really a waste of time as nothing ever gets done. The door to the pool and laundry room that is supposed to be closed and locked, is broken and always wide open. Once my upstairs neighbors washer leaked through the floor and through my roof into my apartment and I was told to "just mop it up with towels, there was nothing they could do" I've even been threatened to have it put in my file for complaining too much about problems. Also every time your lease gets close to running out, they let you know that there will be a rent increase. In short Pros: They are in a good neighborhood and are friendly while you're signing your lease/renewing Cons: RUDE (and i mean bad attitude calling names rude) unprofessional management, inconvenient never ending construction, nothing done about any complaints, rent increases at the start of every lease renewal.

Very nice place to live. Quiet neighbors and beautiful grounds. On top of the views the staff here is very kind and caring. Just be aware that the entrances to some of the apartments are a little small so if you have big furniture you may need to move it through the back door. Other than that everything is amazingly clean and well taken care of. I recommend this place for anyone who enjoys a nice environment for a reasonable price.

If you are looking for a reasonable price and wonderful location(right next to Cross Lake where it always feels 10° cooler with the lake breeze) Always the best view of the sunrise/sunset & stars at night, as well as the nicest office managers & neighbors you could ask for, No loud city noise, just the peaceful nature and the sound of ducks every now and then (: Ive done the research for tons of apartments in the Shreveport-Bossier area, and Summer Pointe is by far the best choice i could have made for my first ever apartment?
