Lake Howell is a quaint neighborhood in the Winter Park area that surrounds Lake Howell, Bear Gully Lake, and a few other lakes. Lake Howell is a great residential area with lake views and plenty of rental opportunities. Public schools are abundant in the area, as are parks, shopping, and dining options. Casselberry Commons is a local shopping mall where you’ll find some popular retail stores and chain restaurants. It's a decent, quiet apartment complex, with nice valet trash that's prompt. However, there isn't enough parking, so people park all over the road in many areas. Also the gym has been closed for months with no explanation.

So far its okay. The apartment is nice for the price but I hate the patio situation. I dont like how some apartments have nice grass around their patio and others have dirt and leaves like mine. There was also a lot miscommunication with the leasing manager when signing it and that truly made me weary of living here.
This property is great! I love that they always keep things clean and are great about all updates about what’s going on with the property. Love this place!
Nice houses with nice people. Beautiful pool and great gym aswell.
We moved our daughter from Michigan to Florida for college. Lourdes went above and beyond to make the transition successful. I would highly recommend living here.
A safe, and reliable community, with great amenities.
The maintenance worker Nelson is very quick and efficient at his job. He always completes the work order within 24 hours of submitting the request and makes sure that everything is great before he leaves. Ive lived in other apartment complexes before this one and having maintenance complete work order immediately gives me peace of mind.
There are a lot of roaches here
I have the renovated Ashlar. Its a good size for my bf and I. The move in experience was average since I was promised keys and a move in packet at a certain time in my apt and they werent there. I had to call the office twice to get my move in packet. My gate cards and gate keys also did not work until days after so that was very inconvenient for my friends and family that were helping me move in. Maintenance staff is super fast and friendly. The complex is kept clean and I appreciate that. The gate is currently open/broken so its be nice they fix that sooner than later. Gate has been open for more than two weeks now. Overall I love my apartment and dont regret moving in, its worth the price and I feel safe when the gate works.
I haven't lived here long, but my husband and I love the quiet and natural vibes of the complex. All of the trees and landscaping gives it a really homey feel for us.
Honestly i enjoyed my time in stonecastle only isse being the dryer as it stop working time to time, each yime asking maintanance to fix it. Besides that Its calm just the way i like it. I do also with some of the neighbor didn´t make too much a riot with the engines of their vehicles time ti time.
This is a great apartment complex. Its not super big. Really clean. And Management is super friendly and respond to my emails very quickly. Not upset with my decision. Smart locks and nest thermometer is also a great feature.
This is a beautiful and quiet community. The management and maintenance staff are all very kind. The apartments and community are clean with many new and amazing updates. My only point of caution would be to make sure you rent an apartment with a newer AC unit as the apartments with older AC units will cost you a lot of money on your electricity bill (upwards of $250-300 per month for a one-bedroom).
Worst costumer service. A complete facade of an amazing place but falls short from basic. No attention to detail and lack of management
Very friendly staff (Lourdes is the best)- helped me tremendously in securing an apartment. Quiet secure area in a great location. No issues here and would recommend Stonecastle to anyone looking for a place to call home.
I love the area and the neighbors are nice and friendly. I moved in a month before Covid-19 and im so glad I did. I love it here and I feel safe.
The other management was nice and very friendly. I felt comfortable having my teenage daughter there. The new management is not so nice. They did not notify us of a new web address to pay rent. We left a message and they did not call back. When I finally got a person, they computer was down and they could not give me a code to register at the new web site. She told me to call back Monday. I did....6 times.....Mailed a check that day because I was concerned, but they would not take it because it was late. Now they want to charge me an eviction fee! It was not our fault the rent was late. We tired tirelessly to pay it...(Short of driving there from the west coast.....not willing to help. Very sad about the whole thing. Other than that, great place to live.

I have been living at Stonecastle Apartments since February 2015, and I love it here! I have an upgraded apartment and love love love my black granite counter tops. The grounds are always kept up and beautiful. I have a pond view and its a serene!! SC has great amenities there is a billiards room and it is gorgeous, not to mention they have a Starbucks coffee machine to die for!! Greystar is the management team and they manage their properties very well. Stonecastle is a great place to live, you will love it here!
This is a great place to stay. It's like a hidden oasis. There are tons of trees and a pond. It is very quiet and off away from the highway. Great rooms for the price :)
