Property Ratings at Stone Ridge Of Shelby
We were one of the first people to move into these apartments about 2 years ago. The management company that built the apartments promised a fishing dock that never came to fruition. We also had to wait for the pool to be inspected so that caused us to have to wait a few months to enjoy the amenity and then it was only open 9-5 when many people would be at work. The dog park didn't come for a few months as well but I think many of the tenants were already annoyed at that point and that is reflected in the reviews. Whenever I would walk outside I would hear tenants complaining to each other about their experiences at this apartment complex. I admit, the previous management missed the mark on their responses to tenants and were notoriously known for over promising and under delivering. The new management undoubtedly didn't know they were walking into a hornets nest of disgruntled tenants. I honestly felt bad for them because the issues they were saddles with were not caused by them. My experience with management has been good. Everything I have had an issue with has been addressed in a professional and courteous way. I never had a problem with parking but they have added an additional 25 something parking spaces to better serve the community. They also have addressed some of the flooding that was occurring across the property. Additionally, we had our stove top shatter out of no where and they worked with us to get it replaced. I have literally nothing bad to say about this community or it's management. We will continue to lease here until we find a house to purchase and own.

New management is so rude and uncaring that it's pathetic. Parking is horrible. There's too many handicap parking spaces and until the solve the parking debacle they will not allow tenants to park in them, so if you come home after 6pm you will have to park 2 buildings away from yours. No boat dock as promised when I signed my lease. 2 BBQ grills and 2 picnic tables to accommodate the entire complex. Management is full of "what we plan to do or what we are looking into" but have yet to provide. Been here 2 years and can't wait to leave. DO NOT STAY HERE. You will be sorry.

Was blindsided when told my monthly base rent would increase by $220 just 1 year after leasing.Extremely rude management when contacted to ask about this.Landlords may decide to increase their rental prices in order to match market rates, to pay for property maintenance or improvements, to accommodate tax increases, or simply to increase their profits!

There isn’t enough parking spots available for residents and they aren’t trying to find a solution. For the amount of money we pay for rent it is ridiculous.

The company is a made up name of the cross roads the place is located, promises are made when leasing and not fulfilled
-ESPECIALLY AT A TIME LIKE THIS!. Looking at the lake is so peaceful and soothing. We walk around the area every day. And our apartment is brand new so we're the first in it. I even saw a swan yesterday!
Just what we've been hoping for. Perfect for the two of us. My wife especially likes the big kitchen and the den would be great for when the grandkids visit. And, somebody else will do the snow shoveling!
"My husband and I drove by and it looks beautiful-even though it's not all finished yet. I can tell from the way they pay attention to all the details that it's going to be a place I'd like to live."
