Steeplechase on Maple

The last 2 times I have renewed my lease, the front office has failed to finalize, then charged hundreds in fees for "month to month rent" and others. Maintenance is slow to respond to calls (3 months to fix a patio door that gets pulled open when windy even when locked DURING WINTER), the maintenance fixes are often quick jobs that don't last, and the apartments and kitchens in particular are outdated. There are reoccurring water main breaks (several a year) as well as a newly added fee for no additional service this year along with the usual rent increases. The only saving graces are the location and apartment size.

Garage Repair My garage door was going up at an angle about a foot, this was off and on for months. Now, it seems to be working properly with the last repair. Fingers crossed it does not break again!

Rent raise It is hard to meet every year’s rent raise since I am retired and on a fixed income. I had to get a room mate so I could stay here, as I am unable to work any more.

Furnace Issues Great service and very knowledgeable and informative of what may have happened.

Unkempt The indoors and outdoors are not kept up with; paint scraping off, holes in walls, outdated, stains in counters..way overpriced for what you get. The tour person was not able to answer questions and was on their phone.

Heating issues Great customer service and quick to respond and fix the issue

3rd Month In Just started my third month here at Steeplechase. Still very cute and quiet I have had no issues! Staff is friendly!

I would give 0 stars if I could on this apartment complex. This complex has been having water issues for over a month and they give no reimbursement on the rent, There are potholes everywhere which they would not want to fix. They are right on time to take the check, they are right on time to charge for anything extra and charge for towing your vehicle. Absolute trash management.

The apartments and amenities are nice. The office staff are nice and helpful as well. My only issues are that they turn off your water without warning. I couldn’t shower or brush my teeth. Within one week of living here we were already having issues with our apartment and had to call maintenance. The parking is horrible as well, so good luck at finding a parking spot near your apartment. The dryers are horrible as well, we have to dry our clothes 3-4x before they’re completely dried. Did I mention the ant infestation?

The management is extremely RUDE. Jayda always had an attitude, like to the point where I just avoided ever going to the office for anything because I literally couldn't stand her. The maintenance is unbelievably slow.. When my refrigerator went out it literally took them a week to get a new one. I had to throw away all of my food and nobody cared the slightest. When I first moved in my apartment was infested with ants! It took me three weeks of consistently calling to finally get someone over to take care of it. I had already been spraying but I felt it was important for them to do something about the infestation. When they came they did two small sprays and left.... It did nothing! I eventually hired a professional to take care if it because I knew I was getting nowhere with Steeplechase's management. The parking was always terrible and the people above me were so loud.. The few times i called to complain they acted as if I was a bother. I would never recommend these apartments to anyone. Save yourself a headache and look elsewhere!

As others have said I would rate this place a zero if possible. I have lived in this apartment through a neighbor's fire, another neighbors toilet flooding into my apartment from above, and had bugs. The staff at this apartment seem to be really great people at first. Then they lock you in to your lease and couldn't care less. I have reported maintenance issues on multiple occasions that have never gotten fixed, when the apartment flooded all they did was put up an air humidifier and said that's good. The water flowing into my apartment was dark brown and stained the walls, floor, etc. They never did an air quality check to make sure no mold is growing from the poop water flowing down my walls and through my light fixtures. The maintenance around here is totally slacking. When I moved into my apartment I had light fixtures hanging from the wall, my bathroom tub wouldn't drain, there was a huge rip in the vinyl flooring in the kitchen, the list just goes on. The manager of this complex has some real issues. He is very condescending. I don't care to hear about your issues with your 500 thousand dollar home compared to my apartment living. That's just rude and unnecessary. Today I went in to pick up a package from the office that I was very excited to be getting, it was a gift from a friend delivered from Amazon. They told me that I can't receive packages without my name on them. It was a freaking gift she ordered online for me. All in all I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone. The rent is too high for a place that's falling apart and being fixed with scraps. I hope that people read this and please stay far away from this trap.

I wish I could give zero stars. I have never lived in a worse apartment complex. It is poorly maintained and poorly managed. We have had nothing but problems since moving in here. Something will break and it will take the maintenance crew weeks to get it fixed (if it's even fixed at all). The amount of times I have filed a work order for them to come fix something and they provide a temporary fix or don't address the situation at all is too many to count. For example, our AC did not work properly in the bedrooms, we asked them to come and fix the problem and it still didn't work all summer. I think they say that it is fixed when in actuality they don't do anything to fix the problem. Maybe they come in and tinker around and act like they did some work but it's never actually fixed. There is never any parking, and the permits are not enforced so most of the spots that are being taken are by people that don't actually live in the buildings. If I could steer more people away from living here I would. And everyone that I have talked to has the same issues as me, or worse. DO NOT LIVE HERE!

We moved in 2 weeks ago and have been so happy! Our apartment is beautiful and the staff is so friendly! Our neighbors have been welcoming and made us feel at home! If you are looking for a great place to live in a great neighborhood I highly recommend Steeplechase!

Poor management and poor maintenance. Mold on garages. Yards are swamps after a rain, they even have drains and sump pumps outside. Parking is a problem. Plumbing issues are frequent, and you will not see your deposit returned, no matter how immaculate you leave it.

Rental prices listed are higher once you get there , garages are extremely high priced and not listed in any advertisement. If you have a dog , there are weight restrictions even though it's not listed anywhere. Seemed like the perfect place on paper, where in reality , a complete waste of our time.

I lived here for a little over a year and the office staff was always friendly and professional. Additionally maintenance issues were addressed quickly though I did not have many issues arise. I was impressed with how well snow removal in the parking lot is handled though my one minor complaint would be times when finding close parking wasn't possible. Overall it was a wonderful experience living here. The apartments are quiet and spacious.
