I do like living here. I like my Apartment and the way it is set up. The Receptionists are very friendly and very helpful. It is a very nice area to live and it’s secluded which makes it more private the maintenance men are on the ball and get things taken care of promptly and right. I like the fact that there are several swimming pools and hot tubs too. They also have BBG’s so you can BBQ if you want. This is an older Apartment complex so it could use some updated things. Like the windows. They let in very hot air in the summer and cold air in the winter. I think if they would replace those it would help our utility bill and it would help Sparro also. I do like it here and I plan on staying for a while.

The property is older, the units have been renovated (interior) but the buildings are infested by roaches. Expect it to be a daily issue, it's probably why they offer free pest control services on Tuesdays but that won't help because it's an infrastructure issue not and exterior issue. If they do spray inside it doesn't solve the problem. I'd rather wake up to no roaches not dead ones.

If there is a problem with roaches in your apartment, I can assure you that we acted as quickly as we could to get you on the treatment list to get the issue resolved as soon as possible. Please keep in mind that if you have been treated one or two times, it may take a little while to stop seeing activity altogether. We pride ourselves on all the changes our new ownership has made over the last couple of years, so we are disheartened to hear that you are experiencing this issue. Please allow our pest control company to continue servicing your apartment until the problem is gone. We appreciate you as a resident and want you to be happy with your apartment home. If there is anything that comes up, please reach out to the office.
I’ve lived here for about 12 years or so. A lot of things are not being taken care of as they should be. I use a go to the office and complain about things but nothing seems to happen. So I gave up doing that anymore.

The community was immediately welcoming. From the appearance of the apartments and the amenities, such as the pools and grassy areas as well as the dog park area, were all well kept and and inviting. The tour of the community highlighted the exercise room, pools and the nicely renovated apartments. Every experience with the staff was professional and friendly. Upon moving in I was welcomed by two of my next door neighbors, and a few other neighbors within the community. Overall, the community has surpassed every expectation and made me feel right at home.

My husband and I have been living here for about 4 years. We love the pet friendliness, I love the green outdoor spaces. The gym is very well done, the pools and pool areas are beautiful. The walking paths are great. It's a lovely little community. Management is pretty quick to answer issues, and you can always walk in with a question and they are happy to help. We have been very happy here.

I've been here 6 years. I've had minimal issues and have always paid rent on time. The steady rent increases in the last two years have all but priced me out of my apartment. I've expressed my issues to management in regard to my upstairs neighbors having two dogs that they play fetch with inside the apartment which shakes the walls of my unit. Sometimes early in the mornings and late at night. Nothing has changed with that. I called regarding an internet line having to be buried by xfinity because I was told the one connected my unit was 30 years old and no longer functioning. After expressing my concern to the office regarding how long the process was and that i work from home and rely on an internet connection, the current manager was very unpleasant and seemed to care very little of my issue. I was simply given a reps email whom never emailed me back. That line remains unconnected to this day and sticks out of the ground like a dead weed. That was back in July. I was hoping that management could move me to a different unit but I was told that it would be a significant increase in rent since I'm currently in a cheap old unit. Thanks. I'm at the point where I feel like it doesn't matter to notify the office with my concerns anymore. I will not be renewing for my 7th year here and that makes me very sad. I really do wish I could leave with a better review.

The office staff and maintenance do a great job here. The rent is kinda big, considering the age of the buildings. The grounds are pretty well maintained, also.

Easy leasing process & great front office staff - particularly Sonia. A little noisier than I expected with garbage trucks and maintenance being done. But I am in an ouside corner unit. My desinated parking has been occupied by some else ? on a few occasions & available guest parking options are a bit far away.

Positives 1. The most important part is that it's been 2 weeks and except for a sewer roach I have not seen any roaches 2. Repairs are fixed quickly. 3. Management responds quickly to any questions you have. 4. You can control the temperature in your apartment. 5. The noise reduction is amazing. 6. Washer and dryer(when I get them) are included. 7. There is a ceiling fan in the living room. 8. Trash pick up at your door. 9. Luxer lockers so you don't need to go to management to get packages. Negatives 1. The cross shaped entrance into the apartment makes it INCREDIBLY hard to move furniture in. We had to give up o. The 3- seater couch I owed cause we couldn't get it in the home. 2. The ac is really strong in the bedrooms but weak in the living room/kitchen. I ended up closing the vents in the bedrooms as much as possible to try to redistribute air to other areas.

My apartment is beautiful! The grounds are clean and well maintained. The office staff are friendly and responsive. I have never seen a better, or more friendly maintenance team! It has been very enjoyable to live here. The neighborhood is safe and this location is only a 10-15 minute drive from several beautiful hiking spots.

Desert Shadows has been one of the better communities I’ve lived in. It’s quiet and feels safe, the maintenance crew gets work done quickly, and the office staff are polite and helpful.

Used to be an affordable place to live, now the cost of rent is ridiculously high. Lived here since 2019, it was affordable back then. Otherwise it is a nice place to live. Dog park was the selling point for us, along with the grassy areas and walkways for pets. It's a clean and quiet complex. I don't hear our neighbors and I feel safe here.
