Horrible Management

I thought I would give Sparq a second chance as I had many problems my first time but it was one of the cheaper options in the downtown area. I highly regret this decision. Never have I experienced such greedy money-hungry property management.

The Essence at spaurq

My name is Montgomery Marks a tenant here at the spauq apartments.i kid you not this is the best place i have ever lived.I feel dafe and secure the location is perfect its close to every thing a perdon will need.my car is safe as well.The essence of sparq is made up from all of the nice and talented people that Live here.So respectful snd kind and easy to talk to i like my community.The staff id great .Very helpful and knowledgeable.Now the property manager Camisha Runs this place like the tenants.our royalty.Camisha is always concerned about how we feel and if were safe.Now spauq essence id truly constructed bye our wonderful property manager Camisha that has thrown wonderful events and if anyone has a ? She answers it snd if she will take the steps and the time to let u know.She more than a property maneger to all of use. Live her and i love this place.with out Camisha the essence thats here now and thats right for the spaurq wouldn't be here. Thanks i most definitely give this place 5 stars.

No soundproofing

There is no soundproofing and you can literally hear everything going on above you

Many issues management hasn't addressed

- No way for FedEx/Amazon/UPS to enter building to deliver packages outside of the hours management works - A few missing packages within the 4 months I've been living here, overall mailroom situation is less than ideal - management hasn't been helpful in addressing this - Notifications from other residents that their bikes have been stolen from the bike room & nonresidents are getting into the building and asking for money but management has yet to address these issues - A few hiccups with the lease & bills, did not receive application refund as promised - there seems to be miscommunication between the management staff Overall, management isn't very helpful but no complaints about my unit so far.

So happy with my choice

I love the property, location, and office staff. Being a first time renter, Chad was able to explain the process seamlessly. Anytime I have questions or issues they are always quick with a solution. (Issues have been with me not knowing the technology that well with the Latch door system). It's been so stellar here. Would highly recommend!

Not honoring promised refund

I did a virtual tour with Chad who was very helpful and answered all my questions. Although I liked the unit I saw I was hesitant about applying right away. Chad explained that I could apply to lock in the discount, and that if I changed my mind within 3 days, I would get everything refunded, including the application fee. So I decided to apply. In the end, I ended up changing my mind about the unit and withdrew my application. Unfortunately, Sparq is not honoring the promise of refunding my money. Even though Chad himself asked me to send him my address so they could mail me a refund check, I received a call from his manager a day later saying that she cannot refund the application fee. When I told her that Chad had made it pretty clear that it was refundable, she kept insisting that Chad was wrong and shouldn't have made that promise. I told her that while I can understand that he might have promised something that he shouldn't have, given that he did make that promise, will she not honor it since it was the only reason I applied? She kept insisting that she can't or won't refund it. Finally, she said she will talk to Chad then reach out to me, but I did not hear back from her again. Really disappointed in these dishonest tactics.
