Property Ratings at Southgate Apartments
The pool was out of service for most of the summer. Moved in and the dryer wasn’t hooked up, and the washer leaked. Carpets smelled awful. Paint drops all over the island and floor. Dried, nasty food from the previous tenant in the kitchen sink. Freezer went out less than a week living in the unit, and we had to spend a large amount of money to replace spoiled food. Dog poop literally everywhere. No one picks up after their pets and the grounds smell like pet waste. Dumpsters are constantly overflowing with trash and furniture. Pool is overrun by numerous people who do not live here, and pool furniture has been vandalized. Our next door neighbors blast extremely loud music at all hours of the day and night with no regard for others. After multiple complaints to management for nearly a month with nothing changing, the police had to get involved due to being woken up at 2:30AM by the loud music and bass. Upstairs neighbors walk like a herd of elephants live there. Hallway smells like weed all the time. Our front door decor was stolen. Management is awful at communicating anything. The units are visually cute, but that’s it. Highly unsatisfactory living conditions.
Pool has been out of service for several months. Appliances are very low quantity. I would reconsider moving into this property.

We cannot believe we actually live here. Everything is beautiful and clean and high quality. When we put in service requests, it is taken care of within the day. Management is always quick to respond. We feel so at home in our cozy, modern apartment. Cannot recommend enough!
No communication between management and tenant regards to moving out, appliances don’t work and they don’t have urgency to fix it
Luxury apt w/ low-quality appliances & lack of prioritization by property management in resolving issues.
