The Evanston community lives an active, healthy lifestyle and enjoys spending their time outdoors exploring Mother Nature. Go to hometown favorite Bear River State Park, a 324-acre park with breathtaking overlooks and a plethora of activities. This natural area has space for archery, camping, geocaching, boating, fishing, horseback riding, and more. Bear Meadows Park is another popular area featuring sports facilities, exercise stations, and an amphitheater. In the winter, Evanston has a variety of ice ponds for ice skating and fishing as well.
The Evanston community is tiny, but families and friends bond at unique annual and special events. Cheer on your favorite pup at the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race. One of the biggest events is the Uinta County Fair based right inside town.
