Mesa combines suburban living with city conveniences as Arizona's third-largest city. Spanning 143 square miles across the Sonoran Desert, the city features both established neighborhoods and newer developments. At its heart, downtown Mesa hosts the Mesa Arts Center, offering year-round performances and exhibits. The rental market shows average rates from $1,117 for studios to $2,585 for four-bedroom homes, with recent decreases between 0.8% to 2.5% year-over-year. Notable areas include Dobson Ranch with its golf course and lakes, the Las Sendas area near Red Mountain, and the developing Gateway district by Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.
The city's heritage includes ancient Hohokam canals that still shape Mesa's water infrastructure today. Residents enjoy Red Mountain Park's 1,146 acres of recreational space, spring baseball at Sloan Park (home to Chicago Cubs training), and educational opportunities at Mesa Community College and ASU's Polytechnic campus.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Hello, Thank you for your long-term residency and kind words! We're thrilled you've called Sorrento home for over six years. We're proud to have Erica, Mario, and John on our team, ensuring a smooth and peaceful living experience for all our residents. Your appreciation means the world to us. Here's to many more years of providing you with a wonderful home!
We have had a leaking roof for a year and they refuse to fix the issue. Cops are there for crimes literally every night. There was a stabbing in the parking lot not too long ago. The main office lady is rude and nasty once you move in. I’m not sure how they have 4 stars on here but they have 1 star on every other site. If you don’t want to worry about criminals in your place and wanna sleep feeling safe do not live here!
First apartment for a married couple. The apartment you see during the tour is all set up nicely and makes everything seem ok, but in reality, that's not what you get... We had multiple issues. 1) The roaches, they are insane. They come out from behind the kitchen cabinets, refrigerator and dishwasher. Every month I went and requested pest service and that didn't solve anything. 2) AC leaked numerous times, I had to keep a bucket under it to catch all the water. The surrounding ceiling was damaged. It took way too long to fix, with management blaming it on "Contractors." 3) Water shutoff's seemed constant and we were always told to fill the bath tubs with water during this time. During my year lease, I had at least 10-15 water shutoff's. 4) Make sure to be extra thorough when doing your initial walk-through, otherwise they will charge you for stuff that was damaged prior to you when you move out. 5) Management had a huge turnover rate, there was always someone new in the office so when there was an issue, you could never follow-up with the same individual. 6) Not sure if its been fixed yet, but they were in serious need of asphalt resurfacing. Parking lots were not in good condition and the lines were barely visible. 7)Overpriced for what you receive, even with the current market. Make this place a last reort.

Hello! We apologize for any frustration that you have experienced while living here. This is not the type of experience we want our residents to have. We encourage you to reach out to our regional office at 602-957-8410 to discuss any concerns that you have. We look forward to speaking with you and hope you have a great day!
I rented two different units at this complex, both had bed bugs when I moved in. When our AC leaked and a bubble formed in our ceiling we had to deal with it dripping for months. Till the day we moved out, they never fixed it. No matter how many times we asked. And when we moved it they added on a bunch of extra move out costs that couldn’t be explained.

I would recommend Sorrento to anyone . It is a calm, peaceful community that is well maintained and staffed. It is close to the 60 and the 101 and you get a lot of square footage for a fair price. The entire staff is kind, courteous, professional and helpful. The amenities are well maintained and the neighbors are all respectful and quiet:-)

It's wonderful to hear that you've had such a positive experience! We spend a lot of time and energy making sure that Sorrento Apartments is a community that you love to call home. Thank you so much for the 5-star review, we hope you have a wonderful day!
People are DISGUSTING here they don’t clean up after their dogs. The maintenance sucks and they will get to it when they feel like it. I’ve made countless calls and they never come the same or next day it’s always a week later or more. The maintenance guys are always out smoking and act like they run the place when they don’t have room to say anything because they can barely fix things here. This place is crawling with COCKROACHES and crickets and the flooring is so cheap it rips when anyone backs their chair up. The carpet also is super shitty. The air vents are clogged to the max so it never feels like it’s clean air it smells dusty and you can see the dust on the ceiling where the air does come out. They rush to “fix” things and it’s never fixed when the guys make it to the calls. But overall it’s a place to live if you want something cheap. But i honestly would avoid this place and not recommend it to anyone. EVER.

Pushed our move-in date back days before the date Apartment was not completely cleaned at move-in and whatever the oven was cleaned w/ smoked up the residence. They did not assist us in addressing the matter. Carpet odor from move-in took months for them to even partially fix We were lied to about improvements during our tour(what equipment was being added to the gym, which turned out to be a wall decal) Laundry facilities have had frequently broken machines Mistakenly applied our deposit to our rent and then lost the money order we paid w/ to replace it and told us we hadn't paid 7 months later After three bug sprays we have exactly the same amount of roaches (expect to kill 3 daily) They're creating a new website and told tenants they could only pay rent online through 6/3 (in a written notice provided 5/31). Rent could not be paid online, I'd attempted since 5/28. No correction was issued and their mistake was never acknowledged even when we asked about it. (They seem to be trained to avoid apologies for inconvenience/error and also to mention "legal" and "court" unprovoked) The website that's down? That's where you can input maintenance requests. We were not notified that would also be unavailable online. Neglected to provide a renewal notice Water is turned off without warning, occasionally reaches (exclusively) blistering temperatures and occasionally will not remain hot for more than 5 minutes It took three work orders to get our smoke alarm replaced because it kept going off for no reason. I have never regretted signing a lease so much as this one.
This place is awful! I lived here for 13 months and it was the worst experience I've ever had with a complex. When you move in they treat you so nicely, but the office staff keeps changing and they are increasingly more rude every time. There are gross bugs everywhere! Weird beetles, scorpions, you name it, this place has it! They shut off the water CONSTANTLY and leave you without water, they give you a notice but half the time it goes longer than the notice or totally different days, they lost my lease when they changed owners and kept blaming me for it. They did FIVE inspections of my apartment within a few months, I felt like my privacy was constantly being invaded, and if I wanted to reschedule due to inconvenience they rudely demanded that it needed to be done then. When I moved out they took my full deposit then sent me a bill for them doing apartment renovations!!!!
Lived in Sorrento now for 9 months.Lizz the manager is absolutely amazing always willing to help and go way beyond my expectations of a manager.maintance team just as amazing any issues fixed immediately.I would definitely give Sorrento apts 5 stars and recommend this community highly.
We moved in when we first came to Arizona. Loved it. Office staff was fantastic and maintenance was always on top of any issue. After a year office staff changed frequently with each new employee caring less and less. Maintenance fell by the way side. And the people they rented to got worse. When bed bug issues arised they started out great with tackling it but didn't address it as a bundling issue so the problem persisted and after a while they refuses to handle it blaming us for the problem when it was clearly adjacent units. Loved living there had they cared more.
Well kept apartments, with a friendly and helpful staff. Nice affordable residence with considerate neighbors. I was pleasantly surprised at the price for a 2bd, in comparison to others in the area. Love that they keep the appearance nice and clean. Very happy with the choice we made in residence.
