Castle Hills Forest is a San Antonio neighborhood 22 minutes north of downtown. The tree-lined area has a pool, tennis courts, and park. Residents take outdoor fitness classes, cycle, and dog walk at Phil Hardberger Park. Castle Hills Forest is very family-oriented, hosting neighborhood events frequently. I have had the weather stripping replaced on my door already and now that it’s worn to where I can see to the other side of the door they are calling it an a/c issue and saying everything is fine. Maintenance requests are often times tossed aside.

Communism and roaches. On top of all the roaches this place is making all residents get the same internet and cable for 80 a month. Residents do not have choice now with what internet and/cable they want. Who wants cable now anyways? Nobody! They are forcing us to pay for cable by adding it directly to our rent, you no longer have control over your accounts. They control your internet/cable, force you to pay their amount and take the choice out of your hands. This is freaking America BLUE SWAN! There are much better places around the area to live, I'm moving as soon as I can!
Current resident, these people are horrible. Been dealing with fire ants since day 1, found roaches by day 3 and the most rambunctious neighbors daily! Of course I complained but it feel on deaf ears. We were initially told that there would be no-one above us! So we submitted our 60 day notice, per our lease, paid our rent and was going to pay our end termination fee. This crooked manager, Pam, actually threatened to evict us because we didn't pay it right away?! When I questioned her on it, she claimed that she can evict us if we have an unpaid balance. I asked her, "How can you evict us when we're already leaving?"... Don't move here. Getting a lawyer!
The place has rats! Their "timely manner" is anything but timely. Have not had a place live for one week now. Neighbor underneath me also complained of rat problems. Do not lease here!
"Why pay rent like the Jones when you don't have to" Ever wanted to live in an upscale neighborhood but can't afford upscale rent? Or have you ever been judged simply because where you reside,by prospective employers, colleagues, and or merchants? People claim to not be Judgmental but we all do. Hence why I chose to reside at the Blue Swan Apartments it not anything fancy. The amenities are decent, maintenance requests are deal with in a somewhat timely response, the grounds are kept, and so on. But why do I live here is because I am now considered a CASTLE HILLS Resident!! And with that people look and treat me accordingly.
I have had a wonder experience here at Blue Swan since moving in. Love being so close to shopping and downtown. Having two pools is a plus as well.
I have lived in this complex since moving to San Antonio 18 years ago. I have moved up to larger apartments over that time and could not be any happier. My most recent move this spring was to a 2 bed 2 bath that has 9 foot ceilings and a large laundry off the kitchen. I love this apartment. I have always had a very good relationship with the staff here, and they are very good at making certain anything needing repair, it done quickly and appropriately. This complex gives excellent value for the price, being larger apartments at very reasonable rates. This is born out by the fact that there are many long-term residents here, who I believe are equally satisfied. The location is also excellent as you can walk to shopping if you want to get groceries, dining, stores, etc. You really must consider Blue Swan Apartments.
I wasnt sure what to expect moving from the Bay Area in California to San Antonio, texas. When I found this complex, I loved all the photos - but a photo can only tell you so much! Luckily for me, the staff here is so friendly and willing to stay on the phone with me to answer all the questions I had. If they hadnt done so, I probably wouldnt have moved. Im so glad I picked this complex to live in. Aside from the friendly staff, I really am near it all - JUST as they had said! With a grocery store literally next door, the medical center 15 minutes away, and my boyfriends work not far, this complex ended up being perfect. The pools are always clean and inviting, the grounds are maintained, and if ever I have an issue, I can get it cleared up quickly.I love my new home and tell everyone I know that if theyre considering a move, this is the place to be!
You get the most bang for your buck in these apartments; there's definitely more square footage for your dollar compared to other similar apartments. But they are an older complex and have some issues, although nothing too serious. It's generally quiet here, but the walls are kind of thin and you can hear other people speaking loudly or when they run their shower sometimes. The surrounding area is decent, and I feel pretty safe here. Overall, it's an average but well-priced apartment.
water was being constantly turned off. Mudd every time it rained. Only grass in the front and the office area, i guess for appearances. Lastly the main people in the front office are extremely rude and argumentative. i wanted an explanation about my deposit after moving out. He refused to talk, he paced back and forth yelling, basically called me "money hungry", falsely accused me , and basically kicked me out of the office aND LITERALLY slammed the door behind me. i was very disrespected, as a women and an individual. I have never experienced something like this in what i thought was a professional setting and staff. Very uncalled for!
