Had a bad encounter at Solana Lakewood. Mistakenly parked in the senior visitor lot, and a resident immediately threatened to call the cops without letting me explain I was visiting a friend. Signage needs improvement to avoid confusion!!

I was looking for a place to live where I could retain my independance and I found it at Solana Lakewood. Having amenities on site is a real bonus, I've gotten a haircut, gone to church in the theatre, visited the parcel drop box every day, watched some news in the Game Room, had breakfast in the Great Room and l plan to quilt in the Craft Room. Attending a social event without having to drive or find a ride is great. If you are bored here it would be your own fault. The apartments are well designed with lots of storage and when I ask how long people have lived here I am getting responses anywhere form 2 months to almost 5 years. A very unique place and I look forward to being one of those long timers.

Avenida/Solana has been my home for over 5 years. I’m comfortable and happy here. I feel safe. I do not take advantage of the Monday, Wednesday, Friday breakfast, however I especially enjoy visiting with my neighbors at the Pancake and French Toast Fridays twice a month.

This is an ideal place for me. I felt isolated In my home as my friends all had stopped driving so couldn’t meet me for lunch, theatre, coffee, etc. Here there. Is always someone or something to enjoy. It is a happy active community. My apartment has everything I need. I especially love the large bathroom and closet. It is very freeing to not have to deal with broken appliances, yard and general upkeep of a house.

The facility is very clean and well maintained. He impressed my daughter who's a stickler for that kind of stuff. And the staff is very friendly and eager to help. In the community is very friendly and social.

The first 2 years that I lived here I was highly recommended this place as a great place for a reasonable price. This last year with so much management changes and reductions in staff has created a lot of unhappy residents including myself. The new investment owners seem to want a bigger profit by decreasing personnel and increasing prices that are 3 to 4 times the cost of living expenses that many of us soon will soon not be able to afford to live here.

I love living in Solana Lakewood. There are many amenities and activities I enjoy. Parking spots were not designed for senior citizens, as many are distant from the resident building. This is especially difficult during icy winter weather. I love my apartment and the swimming pool and grassy areas.

I moved in here almost 5 years ago. It was a wonderful place. Covid ruined so much of our enjoyment, nobody's fault. The attraction to me was 55 and active lifestyle. Now I feel like I live in a nursing home with many of the residents more suited to assisted living.

I enjoy living here because of all the activities and exercise classes. The location is great because it's within walking distances to a grocery store, several restaurants, and a Dollar Tree. The construction across the street is a drawback with all the noise and dust.

After living in my house for 35 years, l decided to make my life easier without constant house upkeep. It is one of the best decisions I have made. I now have a bigger closet and bathroom besides plenty of living space. Another plus is to have my own washer and drier. Since I like activity, it has been great to meet new friends and always have something to do. I was feeling isolated in my home. Here I can have my own space and have plenty of friends to be with when I want. In the summer my favorite thing is the water aerobic classes and the rest of the year I participate in a variety of activities.

My husband and I enjoy Solana very much. It is a fun and safe place to be at this time of our life. The staff are helpful and friendly. There are enough activities for everyone to pick and choose what they want. The hair salon is an added bonus we really like.

It’s a great place to live. Most residents are welcoming and friendly. Our activities director is The greatest I am thankful for her contribution to this place.
I have not regretted leaving my house of 35 years. The friendships I have made and the many classes I attend have enriched my life a lot. It was an excellent move for me.
