The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Solaire
Solaire has an awesome leasing office and maintenance staff. The building is full of light, airy and clean. It's protected on all sides from construction and obstructions. The combination makes it cozy and familiar. We have loved living here as a married couple, it has really become home.

I have been around many of the different high rises in SOMA and this is by far the worst one. 1. Incompetent Management Staff I would even to go as far to say that the management staff is very shady! When we first moved in and had ALREADY signed the lease, the leasing agent tried to strong arm us into altering the lease. We didn't get a walk through or inspection even though we asked. On move-in day, even though we had reserved the Loading Dock weeks in advance, the alley was completely blocked off with construction trucks. When we tried to get it resolved we were met with the most rude attitude ever! It cost me an extra 2 hours because my movers had to park further away. When the management changed, they didn't bother to notify us. They claim to have put up flyers in the elevator but I live in a townhouse, we don't use the elevators. They changed the online portal (I will get into this more) so my automatic payments became invalid and they didn't notify anyone. Finally, the CASHED AND LOST my Bill Pay and then tried to threaten to kick me out. Due to the automatic payments being reset, I sent a Bill Pay via my bank. They cashed it, lost it, and then claimed that I never paid. Even after showing proof of the Bill Pay confirmation, they THREATENED to send me a Notice to Pay or Quit! TERRIBLE!!! Keep in mind that we have NEVER missed a payment until they completely took away our ability to pay online. 2. Completely flawed online portal The online portal is completely flawed. If you want to set up automatic payments it is based on your previous 3 month average which was wrong because they kept on double charging us for parking. Additionally, you can only have one person make a payment. Instead of every other reasonable place that allows you to individually make payments. 3. Terrible Package Room The building uses Luxer One, however there are NO LOCKERS, all of your packages are just put on poorly organized shelves in a single package room and it is way too small for the number of packages coming in an out. In the past 10 months, I have had my packages stolen three times. Missing packages sometimes take 2 weeks to track down and recover. 4. Bad Events They only throw events that are sponsored by a third party. Sorry, I don't want to attend a sales pitch. 5. Slow Maintenance I have made 3 maintenance requests and all of them took almost a week to even get the first response.
Property Manager at Solaire, Responded To This Review
Hello Dan – Our Community Manager, Cora, has been communicating with you about the concerns you’ve mentioned in your review. We are sorry it’s gotten to this point of frustration. Our team sent hard-copy letters to each apartment home about the change in management last year, as well as sending emails regarding payment of rent during this transitional period. Our team did their best to smooth any bumps along the way towards transitioning to new management, and we apologize for any headaches this caused. We’re here for any questions you may have about rent payments. Since our takeover we’ve been working towards streamlining the process of package delivery. There have been some hitches here and there, so we’ve brought on additional team members to help. If a package is missing, we go through several steps to help locate it. We are always learning from this, and working on ways to make this painless for our residents. While we did recently have one event hosted by ATT&T, we also threw a large catered holiday party, as well as a pizza night and a movie night. We would be happy to see you at more of these events, and we’re always open to getting event suggestions! We are sorry for any delays in getting your maintenance issues looked at. We would be able to complete them faster with permission to enter. Cora and her team would be happy to go over how this works with you, and how it can help speed up the process. We hope this has been helpful, and Cora and her team will continue to do all they can to make your more comfortable at Solaire. – SRG Residential Customer Care (CustomerCare@sares-regis.com)
