Sofi at Cedar Mill

4 hours ago New STAY AWAY! I have never dealt with such an unprofessional and lazy management in my entire life. I lived here for a year for work and I regret it completely. When the time came for me to get off the lease, I informed the leasing office that I would be leaving March 7 and my roommate would be staying. I told them this early February. The leasing office then said no problem we will get you the paperwork. No problem right? WRONG! The time came for me to move back to California and the office said they would just email me everything I needed to sign and I would be off the lease. The paperwork came 3 weeks later via email. 3 WEEKS! I am no longer in the state!! Nonetheless I signed everything and expected them to promptly work on it. But nothing. I then get an email reminding me to pay rent for an apartment I no longer live at. I have called and called and called to resolve this but they do not answer. In fact, I called from my work cell phone and they immediately answer because they probably thought it was a new tenant. The manager, Daisha said "I have someone in my office, so I'll get back to you" I am now still on the lease for an apartment that I no longer live at, even after giving them clear timelines and dates as to when I wanted to be off the lease. I keep trying to reach the office to resolve all of this but I never get a response. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional leasing office in my entire life

Easy move They were communicative and friendly. I have no complaints.

Maintenance Feedback request Maintenance was great, very professional, courteous and helped with what they could. Still a couple of things they are getting back to me on with regards to the request. So it's not completed yet.

We lived here for 2 years - the apartment was fine but the appliances were old. They functioned but the dishwasher was dirty/hard to keep clean and the stove did not heat up well. We mentioned this several times but they would not replace. Upon move out, we requested walk through and were told we would not learn about the carpet costs until after our lease was done, which is not ok. As a tenant, it is frustrating that we do not have full transparency prior to the lease being done. We then were surprised with a full carpet replacement bill because of excessive pet hair. They would not even attempt to clean the carpet and had little proof of excessive pet hair, it was a zoomed in picture in a corner. After some negotiating, they lowered our bill a bit but not much. That being said, the proximity to the different shops and downtown is great. The lack of any amenities was not great, esp in comparison to other complexes in the area. I would not recommend living here as it seems that they are more about the bottom dollar than finding a happy medium with the tenant.

Living on the top floor is great, below is much less desirable.

It is located in a great part of town, with easy access to multiple neighborhoods. Our experience with maintenance requests has been great. It is located in a great school district.

I love living here. It is a newer apartment so hardly any maintenance problems. The neighborhood is quite, safe, and walkable. I love the natural light and big decks.

Good area. Great staff. Good location. Hopefully prices go down some but again I know that is driven by market.

Fairly quiet and so far no maintenance needed in my apartment.

It's a nice location. Not too much in the city, but still walking distance to a few stores.

the walls are thin so you can hear everything. it's outdated. there are no amenities. the restrooms keep moisture.

I've enjoyed my experience here and have gotten close to a few neighbors. Typically, the community is quiet and calm. There are a few neighbors that have gotten out of control and take away from a postive experience.

Daylin made the visit to Cedar Mill pleasant and efficient. She clearly stated regarding the amenities available at other SOFI properties, but not available at Cedar Mill. It was clear to see that the apartment finishes and the garage included makes up for the unavailable amenities. Location within the community (near Market of Choice) and the easy to access services also make this SOFI an appealing choice.

I love where the apartments are located and all the green areas for dog walking. The staff is great. My main complaint is that the exterior lighting is excessive, making it very hard to sleep here. I've tried everything to block out the light, but nothing does the trick completely. Other communities don't have large street lamps right in front of people's windows. I also don't like are how poorly constructed the buildings are...very poor soundproofing, poor ventilation, and no central heat/air. I also wish that there was monitoring of people not picking up dog poop. It is often residents that are the big offenders.

I would recommend they are very well maintained and clean and they make sure out apartment is clean and ready for us to move in.

Nice units and well kept outside :) Reasonably priced for what you get and the amount of space. The community is quiet and welcoming. The location is nice too!

Overall I would definitely recommend SOFI!

The apartment features are great, but Michael was extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Hands down, and by far the best service received in my renting experience. Joe, the maintaince professional, has proven to be a very valuable asset to the SOFI at Cedar Mill team. I called to get my microwave fixed, and he was prompt to respond - and helped address apartment issues with ease and professionalism. Way to go, Joe! And thank you for making this rental experience even better with your expertise.

It's a beautiful, convenient place to live. They keep it clean and the landscaping is inviting. It is very pet-friendly.

I lived here for 3 years and the first 1-1.5 years I lived there it was great, I love the staff and the community. Especially towards the last year of my stay it seems the staff and community culture had changed. To start with, the staff asked me if I planned to move out like 3 months before my lease expired which felt a little aggressive. After told them I planned to move out, there was a mix-up with the USPS 2 months prior to my move out where they were told by the leasing office I had already moved. This resulted in all my mail being returned to sender so bills, Christmas presents, and medicine were all returned. When I called the leasing office they were not very apologetic and claimed the post office misunderstood them saying I was “scheduled to move out”. It felt retaliatory to me considering how close the timing was from when they asked me if I was going to renew my lease. When I finally did move out, I also felt they were really nit-picky with the move out charges. They charged me a standard cleaning fee even though the lease had no mandatory cleaning fee, drip pan replacement, and charged me for patio issues I had reported to them while I still lived there that were the result of having a patio fully exposed to the elements. Finally, I wanted to mention I noticed in the past couple months some very inappropriate and vulgar wifi names, such as vulgar names and inciting violence against the governor - and given the timing of world events I found this troubling. I am not sure if it was a resident in the neighborhood, but definitely not my idea of a safe community.

Sofi at Cedar Mill is a wonderful, clean, modern and civilized community.

Nice quiet environment also the staff is very courteous and maintenance is very prompt

We really enjoyed living at Sofi at Cedar Mill. The apartment + complex, location, office staff and maintenance staff are all excellent.

We love everything about Sofi at Cedar Mill. The staff is responsive, the community is fantastic, and even paying rent is super simple and straightforward. This is the first time I can't even think of anything I don't like about an apartment.

My sister and I were extremely impressed by Kaydie and Sofi at Cedar Mills. I'm hoping to get my parents to visit in the next two months (my mother's recovering from some muscular-skeletal issues). We hope Kaydie will be able to help us on that occasion too, she was so knowledgeable, personable and efficient.

Maria was incredibly warm and welcoming when we arrived. She was genuinely interested in our needs and responded honestly and enthusiastically.

Beautiful community; tremendous space, and the leasing agent was beyond competent; I felt immediately that it was not your "basic apartment experience".

the staff has been incredibly friendly and the move-in process was quite simple. the area or neighborhood is quiet and clean with nearby stores for convenience.

Comparable pricing, clean environment, more greenery than many others, has garages, is near a nature trail and nice grocery

The apartment was nice but the master bedroom was too small for a king sized bed. Also, needed the garage to have outlets as I own a plug-in hybrid.

Front office staff is great, the neighborhood is great, the environment and the surrounding area is awesome as well. Everything is within walking distance and even have running trails near by. I always feel safe and comfortable in the area.

We loved that maintenance left a detailed description of what they had done.

Personally, I care most about having a roof over my head in a safe neighborhood. Other clients that take initial move-in seriously may be deterred from renting here.

Great place only reason I didn’t highly recommend is because of dog barking in my building all the time and people smoking pot in my building.

I do recommend my friends live her. There are a few changes I’s make as a long-term renter here. I wish there was a hand towel rack in the master bathroom. Some times the recycle dumpster gets over flowing

It's a beautifully maintained, quiet community, in a great location, with nature trails and a waterfall nearby.

The community has an excellent location. It is in wonderful condition. And it is located in a great school system.
