Thrash shoots for 3 weeks have not been emptied Causing hallways to smell like complete garbage. Management will not respond to any emails or complaints to fix any issues in apt. No hot water for days on end management refuses to fix.. management disrespectful to tenants.. mold on walls causing me to clean constantly.. hallway carpet full of stains … pet urine constant… car break ins normal inside secured garage.. parcels stolen frequently… again thrash shoots completely disregarded causing fire hazard and health problems in which management will not do anything about but will charge and arm and a leg to rent

The Staff is great & has been consistent compared to when we moved in 3 years ago. I wish all the apartments were the same as far as upgrades go but I understand that is dependent upon vacancy. Ours was remodeled 3 years ago or so but I know there are more improved apartments in the building. It would be nice if it was all hard wood flooring & no carpet. The washer & dryers are better than before however still not the best & it gets very expensive. Apart from those details, we've been happy living here for the past few years. Thank you for your service.
So far so good. Other than other tenants allowing their dog to poop in the hallways things have been uneventful.

I give it a 7 only because when we moved in 2 years ago we were told the washers and dryers were being replaced which we felt was a way for them to persuade us to choose this apartment as our home. They don't wash well & they're even worse , breaking down. I've had issues with the water staying Hott or warm Over the last couple of years, In our bathroom sinks & baths, so we had to take cold showers a few times. Other than those two issues, the apartment staff has been great. We're still happy to call this home.

It is recommended because it is close to eateries, gyms, public transport, downtown, etc. So, nice place to live. Has fitness center, business center, and roof top deck. what more to ask for?

The laundry room is unsatisfactory and is in an unacceptable condition. There have been way too many broken machines for way too long.
The building is showing signs of age, amenities such as the bbq grills often do not work. The printers and washer/dryers don't work- the pool and spa are well kept -
The apartment itself felt too small for my needs, but I very much enjoyed meeting K who walked me around
I would recommend this place for its great location and the helpful staff - Joe and Gary did an awesome job in helping me move in in a really short time. the rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Maintenance request was an easy conversation and it was taken care of completely within a few days. It occurred while I was out of the apartment but I was left a note detailing what was done and everything was as I left it other than the necessary changes.
Washer & dryer units. The shared laundry machines are old, always breaking down . I’ve spent money on a dryer that turns on but was never cycling. The paycard machine was down one night that required me to buy another $10 card and scramble for exact change . I had to lay out a large load all over the house to dry. At times all units are full and I have to find another day to fit in laundry.
It's a little noisy and outside is a little dirty
The only problem we have is the hallway carpet cleanliness. There are many dogs in the community who soil the rugs on a daily basis. There should be very frequent cleaning in halls. The Lobby is cleaned frequently. Halls could be on same schedule. When we asked to have halls cleaned, they were. Makes all the difference!
I would recommend this apartment community. Both myself and my daughter are considering two leases. We both loved it.
Most people i know would like to have the washer and dryer in the appartment. pluse The size of the dogs and breads that i seen was a concern. Doberman pincher and large German Shepherd
Whilst the management change was incredibly impressive. The noise in the apartments is unbearable. You shouldn’t be able to hear people above you snoring :(
Id warn them of the lengthy background screening wait. Not conducive to those needing to move in as soon as possible
Sofi at 3rd is well maintained. We feel safe & secured, and it is perfectly located in downtown Long Beach.
I would not based on the new management. The service guys are top notch.

There were definite issues with the apartment itself when I moved in, all of which I listed on the inspection form and a few of which I had been told would be fixed before I moved in, but everything outside the actual apartment has been great, and the staff has been wonderful.
The leasing agent (Jason) was super friendly, and honestly I loved the apartment and complex. However, I just don't think it's worth the price to still have community laundry facilities. I ended up finding a cheaper apartment with an in-unit washer instead.
Great location, people that work here is great, apartments are ok...neighborhood sometimes could not be so quiet but in the balance is good.

Great residence but communication seems to be extremely slow, non-existance. I am still waiting on a response on a few issues that I ended up solving by finding a leasing staff member. Whilst the issues a solved it would be nice to have these issues closed by email too. That said, this wouldn't impede on me recommending the apartment :)

I would absolutely recommend this community to my wealthier friends, but I also realize that it is out of many people's price range.

This apartment community exceeded me and my spouses expectations! We are in love with the amenities, the unit?s features, an the LOCATION. We would especially recommend this community because you get all of these and more for such an amazing price.
It is a great location and allows pets. The price is a little high for the space, but understand that pets are only allowed in certain areas.
It took 3 submissions for this service request to finally be resolved (with the first marked as resolved and the second as cancelled). To me that is unacceptable. Glad it is resolved now though and I appreciate the effort.

Would recommend because of good location, newer interiors of units. Would not recommend because sq ft / rent ratio. Also, kitchens are insanely small and the cabinets don't fit half of my cookware in them because they are so narrow. For people who spend a lot of time in the kitchen like me, it's really not fun.

I feel DTLB overall has reached a tipping point in rent cost versus value. Moving east of Atlantic presents a much more valuable prospect now.
The building is beautiful and well maintained, and the sales team is professional and friendly. I could not be more pleased with choosing to move to Sofi. It is my California Dream come true!
The property managers are very knowledgeable . If you do have a situation they will be there for you,.. and they are always prompt. The staff here should be working at the top notch Apts . They are so nice ,respectful, and understanding. Thank you.

No reasons now - seriously my only complaint is how small the kitchen cabinets are - other than that I enjoy it at Sofi very much.
