Downtown hugs the Red River, directly across from Fargo, North Dakota. The Moorhead Viking Ship Park Bike Trail follows the river and is accessible from downtown on 3rd Street. Living in Downtown Moorhead, you get two city centers in one -- Downtown Fargo is just a short walk or drive across the river.
Woodlawn Park, just south of Main Avenue, provides ball fields, a basketball court, picnic areas, and a playground. Other great destinations include the Rourke Art Museum, Viking Ship Park, the Heritage Hjemkomst Interpretive Center, and Riverfront Park.
