Shutters Apartments

The building is not very well maintained. Everything is old and never renovated. They simply just paint over everything to hide it. Management is bad too. The manager is supposed to be onsite but you can never find her in her office. The office is close 7 days a week.

the apartment is in a great location, few minutes to downtown, great maintenance guy and over the top school disterct in a walking distance. I have lived here for almost 2 years and the former manager Ashley was great! the new manager is completely unprofessional! managing repair orders and the property presentable and clean is not done properly for example, the trash bins all around the property is always full! in the lobby, in the laundry room! falling leaves and flowers after changing season are left for weeks till it's rotten! alot of plants were thriving before she is a manager, are dead!. Repair orders takes at least 2 weeks to be done! fixing something broken or replacing it is done with a very nasty attitude like she pays it from her pocket money!

I lived at Shutters apartments for over a year and never felt more comfortable in an apartment building. I have lived in many, so I can tell you Shutters is a great community, I would call it it's own all inclusive community for sure. Amazing neighbors and just plain amazing people, from Ashley the manager, to the prompt maintenance man, to the people living right next door! So sad to leave but sometimes life just takes you different places. Shutters will always have a place in my heart, along with the individuals living there and the great job of the individuals who keep it that way! ?? Thank you Krissy W

The Shutters apt have been a great place to live. I am sad to be leaving the bay area, but glad I was able to find an affordable and great apartment during my time here. My apartment was 2bd/1bath. The location of the Shutters is wonderful. A 10 minute walk to downtown, Broadway Plaza, the grocery store and several other restaurants and shops. The apartments are spacious and well maintained especially for what you may find and pay for in other parts of the bay area. There is a nice courtyard where dogs can play and during the summer months the kids are outdoors enjoying the area as well. The pool is an added plus!! Each apartment has a balcony which is great for storage and are very safe. The entire complex is very safe and super quiet. Majority of the tenants that live here are working professionals so you can count on peaceful nights and tranquility at home. All of the neighbors are polite and pretty much keep to themselves. I have experienced nothing but good things from my neighbors. Its nice to come home and relax after work and know that I can enjoy the comforts of my home without too much outside noise. Ashley, the apartment manager is amazing. She is quick to get back you regarding work orders or any issues with the apartment. She definitely makes sure things are taken of and always follows up to make sure things were handled appropriately and in a timely fashion. She is also super friendly and super easy to talk to. Its nice to have someone like her who is available and takes a vested interest in making sure things are handled. I had a covered parking spot which was great because street parking, like most the bay area, is minimal. This area is extremely safe. The parking lot is very well lit at night and into the early morning. Laundry is on site and easily accessible. Overall, you will not be disappointed living at the Shutters.
