The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Shoreline Village
Great experience! Shoreline Village has been our home for a long time, we love it here and the staff are amazing.
Cockroaches and management unwilling to do anything meaningful about it.
Although maintenance won't fix your furnace in the winter, the water frequently comes out brown or orange, construction projects start before 8 and run weeks or months longer than estimated, your 3 prong outlets are actually ungrounded (and two of mine were wired BACKWARDS, causing shocks and destroying a computer), this isn't the worst place you could live, since they're no longer legally allowed to raise your rent 30% per year, and it is quite close to the train station.
Property Manager at Shoreline Village, Responded To This Review
Sorry, that you were out a operating furnace, please come into the office and fill up a service request. We are more than happy to fix any issues you have in your apartment. If you do not have time to stop by at the office you can fill up a service request online at our website www.cbw-properties or send me an email at shorelineapts@yahoo.com. We do apologize for the inconvenience and are happy to fix the issue asap.
These apartments are not the most luxurious of apartments, but they are in the perfect spot. Right next to the center of Mountain View it self. Near many schools and just a peaceful place in general. You can hop on a train to San Fransisco in about 5 minutes (from here to the train station). You can get to a hospital in about 7 minutes by just walking. Such a big convenience to have everything so near and at your demand.
just got new double pane widows, only took 18 years
Among the increasingly RIDICULOUS prices in the Mountain View area, I chose this complex because it was the cheapest thing I could find that wasn't a trailer park or "hacker house." Pros- The location is unbeatable! it is just a block up from the Castro St. Caltrain station (on the other side of central expressway). Pretty good space. In a 2 bedroom, both are spacious New windows and sliding glass doors! Yay! They used to be so old, drafty, and loud. Location! Can't stress this enough! There are great restaurants on Castro St. Cons- Old- this is a very old complex, and the age definitely shows. I have heard it was old military barracks. My unit has very old cabinetry and the sinks in both of the kitchen and bathroom could use updating. Thin walls- i guess this is part of the age issue, but the walls are very thin. If you are a light sleeper you will have a hard time sleeping with neighbors noise and train noise. Shared balconies - basically anybody can walk past your unit and sliding glass door, which is very weird at times. Washer/Dryers on site are horrible. 2 dryer rounds to properly dry. I guess with this place, you have to know what you're going to get. Moving in, I knew that I was not getting anything special. Going in with realistic expectations, I have been satisfied with this place.
