The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Sherwood on the Park
I absolutely love my apartment, there could be a few improvements but overall Im so comfortable. First things first, Genesis is amazing and helped me through my whole process. This is a great apartment to start with plus the pricing are really reasonable I hope they keep these prices. And the community is so beautiful and the grass is definitely cut. I have a lot more exploring to do but it’s really quiet here, and all of the stores are close. If you have a car, yu will save so much gas. Please consider

Run down and roaches. The pics don’t look anything like the actual places. The apartments have roaches , fleas and trash everywhere. A lot of “anyone can live here “ tenants. Pool is ok. The larger pool is garbage. The gym is small and young kids hanging around all the time. The parking and garbage is always overflowing with roaches and raccoons everywhere. The office is nice. That’s all that’s nice. The hallways are full of trash and debris People throw their garbage in the halls and maintenance doesn’t clean

Worse place to live. The place is infested with roaches and the management refuse to work on exterminating them. You will be spending your own money trying to eradicate them without much success because the surrounding apartments are also infested.

The entire staff here at Sherwood would like to thank you for the great review! We are lucky to have such an awesome staff and we are honored to serve our residents. Thank you for your 5 star rating!
I’ve been here 2 years and just renewed my lease again. It’s quiet. The staff are super nice. If I need any type of maintenance they come right away. Hate the inflation has caused the rent to go up but I wouldn’t find a better bang for my buck either way. You won’t be disappointed.

Long-term residents like yourself; let us know that Sherwood is truly a home and not just an apartment. It is our pleasure to do all we can to make sure you are a happy resident and happy with your home! thank you for the 5-star rating! We appreciate you!
I honestly would not recommend Sherwood on the Park to anyone. They only care about the rent. They’ll tell you that they are the cheapest apartment in the area. It’s a Big Fat Lie. If you look around the area, there many more apartments that are not only more cost-effective but offer a lot more spaces for less. In comparison with other apartments, they charge way too much per square foot. There’s no value in renting there. They’ll create an unreasonable basis to keep your security deposit. Wait until you move out!! The new manager who took over in 2019 is a joke. Please be watchful and cautious with your vehicle as there is lot of break-in during the holiday seasons. For many other reasons that I can not mention here, I would not recommend renting from Sherwood on the Park.

Stay away, save yourself the troubles. Lived in the place for 1.5 years with my family, had to terminate the contract. When you show up, you get the smiles and a nice showroom but make sure you ask for exact unit to be shown before you move in. They moved in a young family with a small kid into an apartment owned by smokers, previous tenants just smoked inside and the place didn't care. They just wiped some fresh paint in a hope that it'll kill the smell but it just made it worse. When we moved it stank for the next 9 months at least, they tried to do cleaning etc but what good is it if you put your child to sleep and while reading the book you smell the cigarettes. That's only half trouble, next came the roaches crawling from every corner. Complained about it on weekly bases - the replies you get is they'll call exterminator and it takes "some time". Finally moved out, payed the fees etc and what do you know they kept my deposit and charged me for "damages". Looks like they decided to "renovate" at my expense. We'v lived in multiple places and never had been charged for damages, always left place as is, normal wear and tear. Sent the letter to them with objection to the charges - the letter gets ignored. I won't fight over it, but I hope this helps you to make the right decision.
We've lived at this complex for 3 years. What a nightmare! When we first moved in, all the appliances were old. The first thing to stop working was the dishwasher. We called numerous times & waited weeks before they finally replaced it. Next thing was the fridge. It was not cooling. Again, we waited weeks while we kept our food in coolers filled with ice and had to throw out a bunch of other stuff. And that's just a glimpse. We had a very nice, expensive grill we brought with us when we moved in here, and kept in the patio (we did not use it, just stored it there) but then had to take it to the dumpster because they decided they did not want tenants to have anything other than chairs or plants on the patio. Fine, we moved on. Last year we got a dog. Sweetest dog ever, never barks, doesn't bother anyone. We used to let him go outside to the patio to get some fresh air, until one of the neighbors complained and we started getting calls from the office harassing us. (That same neighbor even had the audacity to come knocking at my door to yell at me one day). So we started keeping the poor dog indoors most of the day except for maybe 10-15 mins at a time a couple times a day. Just yesterday the dog was out there for literally 7 minutes and this woman Jasmin from the office came knocking at my door lso hard it scared my kids. When I answered the door she told me in a very nasty way that my dog was not allowed outside AT ALL. Mind you, on each of the two buildings on either side of mine there are two dogs who are ALWAYS outside on the patio and all they do is bark at every one passing by. Our dog NEVER barks, he just sits there quietly looking around and enjoying the breeze. So I asked this woman (who's always nothing but nasty and condescending) how come I see everyone else's dogs outside all the time and her response was that anyone else they see will get the same warning. She then proceeded to almost yell at me that if they see our dog out there again they will give us a 7 day notice to vacate. And this was all because some nasty neighbor who's always complaining about everything, called them. We never had a late payment and have always obeyed the lease agreement. Needless to say, we will not be spending another year here. If you want to be treated like a piece of trash for no reason, never get anything fixed when you need it to, and get harassed and yelled at by the staff and neighbors, then this is the place for you. Otherwise I recommend you stay away.
The office staff is very nice and friendly, anything wrong in the apartment they came the same day to fix. The area is nice and quiet and the people who live here are also friendly. A great place for kids it's right next to an elementary school. I've been living here for about a year nowith and I love it!
Sherwood Forest is a nice place to live. The people there are diverse and no one bothers you. I have lived there for three years and I have had no problems since then except for the raccoons.
The apartment complex is ok if you work in North Broward but if you work in East or South Broward like most people do, the commute can take almost an hour. Heaven forbid there's an accident! The neighbors underneath me are absolutely atrocious and they re-paved (more like painted) the entire parking lot within a week. People had no where to park and the whole thing was poorly thought out. We got a new AC unit within the first month of moving in and 9 months later the new one is broken! At least we haven't had a bug problem, however the raccoon have taken over and are everywhere!
Charming complex. Very pet friendly. Staff is very friendly. The complex has security that is constantly monitoring the property at night and into the early morning hours. Over all great place to live.
This is my fiances' and my first home together, and we love it here. The grounds and pool are very well maintained. All of the stores that we enjoy going to are all within a short drive from the complex. The beach is 20 minutes away, straight down the road. The staff here have been very helpful in answering all of our questions, and each apartment is newly refurbished and very spacious. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better first place to live.
