Castle Hills Forest is a San Antonio neighborhood 22 minutes north of downtown. The tree-lined area has a pool, tennis courts, and park. I was moving from a house to an apartment for the first time in 20 years and wanted a quality place near Churchill High School where my daughter goes. We saw several different locations and Seraphina was the best value in terms of location, quality of apartments, lots of amenities, and competitive rates. The staff is friendly and responsive and we love living here!

The grounds are great for walks. It's not the same old uninteresting layouts had by other properties. The maintenance crew and office are friendly and responsive. I love our little community.

I have lived here almost a year. I enjoy the quiet community and the big trees around building 8. I love the Trash Pick Up and the Recycling programs. I also enjoy the food trucks. The Bar-B-Que is my favorite. I wish you could bring some fruit and vegetable stands-Farmers Market. Even a Fresh Peach stand would be great when they are in season. I look forward to having my father and brothers over some day. I like that I can walk in the complex. I have own 2 mile walk chartered out. I feel safe here and appreciate my neighbors. The only thing I would suggeest is hiring happy employees in the office. The old owners had very cherry and respectful help. The ones that were hired for Seraphina are not very friendly and are not willing to help. They need to go the extra mile with a smile on their face. They don't seem to like their job very much. Maybe they need some incentives for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I would incorporate a way for them to make more money by handing out or emailing out surveys on how they helped each tenant and/or potential tenants. They need to see and hear how they make people feel. If I were to come into Seraphina today, I would not rent here because of the way they have treated me. I want to conclude by complimenting your Resident App for work orders and other needs. It's convenient and easy to use.

The complex is nice and quite, which is perfect after a long day. The neighbors are friendly. The pools are always clean, and the gym area is well-maintained. Plus added security of night-time surveillance gives me a peace of mind. Highly recommend!

I have lived at this complex for nearly 10 years and the complex recently transition to new ownership (Greystar), changing the name to Seraphina. Overall, I have enjoyed living here despite some problems with crime, gates that do not work reliably, and consistent water shut-offs; however, I am absolutely disappointed after I came home from work to a Notice to Vacate on my door, alleging that I did not pay rent (when I actually overpaid for the month because they could not give me the amount owed because they were switching to a new computer system). When I went to the office to resolve, they mentioned that it happened to some other residents and they were able to "find" their payments, telling me not to worry about it and to come back when the property manager is there. I traced the money order and it had indeed been cashed. You think that they would do their homework before sending out notices like that, especially around Holidays.

I cannot say enough good things about this apartment community. Stephanie is my leasing agent, and is so efficient, professional, and friendly. She understood the urgency of my daughter’s need for a quick move from her current apartment. She was encouraging, welcoming and willing to work with me, mom, to assist with the details. Not once was I told I could not be present and in the mix, because I was not going to be on the lease. The deal was sealed in a week. I believe Stephanie, literally jumped through fiery hoops to get my daughter the needed apartment in her budget, super-fast. I am truly grateful that this agent stayed in touch with me, updated me and when it was time to sign on the dotted line, explained everything, two and three times to make sure every step went smoothly. Stephanie, loves her job, loves her clients and her co-workers and believes in her product. It shows in every breath she takes and the courtesy she lavishes on future tenants. The apartment grounds are massive, well-kept and updated. Family and pet friendly, plenty of parking, a playground and gym and lots of area to walk and enjoy the mature oak trees. The apartment itself is smaller than what my daughter had but we both laughed because the floor plan is so much better designed. It feels equal to or larger. All appliances are new, the carpet is new, there is a sliding door to a small balcony, which I never thought would come with this small space. Thrilled, thrilled, thrilled. Honestly, while it has only been a week, this apartment community is starting off on a great foot. If Stephanie is the indicator of the temperament of the office and maintenance staff, this is a 5 star facility in my eyes.

HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE IN! These apartments are so outdated that you will face maintenance issues way too often! And when I'm talking maintenance issues I mean poor plumbing (water literally leaks through the bathroom floor),and upstairs units will leak into yours and cause mold. Not to mention, mailboxes get broken into about once a month with nothing done about it. You can request maintenance but they will never show up.
I am happy to say I am glad to be here. The amenities are wonderful and management is awesome! The best part is washer and dryer is included. Convenient and I recommend this place to everyone??
They used to be on top of things. Giving noticed by both text and email but now they come into your apt without a notice or leaving any kind of note and then they decide they are cutting your water for "emergency" reasons that no one is aware of and the rude Goergie in the office says she will be checking on it and in less than 1 second gets back on the phone saying "I don't know" Thanks for the notice! We sure do get notice on giving away food but not on the important things. Thanks for nothing.
Do not live here. I have had 9 different times that my apartment has been flooded due to 3 different issues which to this day only one of them has actually been fixed so I will not be getting water damage from it but the other 2 are still ongoing. I have only lived here for 3 months. The management refuses to be inconvenienced to call me on a weekend even though having my apartment full of water is quite inconvenient. They have never fixed the damage caused by the water either. My apartment looks like a wreck. This most recent incident has my guest room full of my upstairs neighbors shower water and they do not even pay for a carpet cleaning company to come out and clean this filthy nastiness. I have had over $2500.00 of my own personal property damaged due to this and they still refuse to accept responsibility. This should not be my insurances responsibility to pay. It is their blatant negligence that has caused this damage so it should be their bill.
I am not at all happy with my complex. The apartments are very overpriced for what they are worth. The shower sprays all over the bathroom and other tenants I have spoken to throughout the complex have the same problem. There are a few very wonderful people in the office, but the few snotty people make it an unfortunate office to deal with. There is never parking available and I have to walk a very long distance. I am pregnant so that is very difficult, especially when carrying groceries or other heavy things. If you make a mistake or they think you do, they come down hard. However if they make a mistake, they will not try to correct it. Earlier in my year lease I had my fridge randomly stop working. I called the "24-hour" maintenance and they did not want to come help. I expressed my concern because I had no car for a week while my husband was out for work and limited food. I ended up in tears on the phone and still received no sympathy. My food rotted and I had to go without food for a week. My complex never helped, apologized nor replaced what I had lost. On another occasion during my pregnancy, the A/C stopped working. It was terribly hot and it was making me sick. The maintenance said they could not fix it until the following day. The office did not offer to send us anywhere or to help in any way, leaving a pregnant woman with no cool air. Also, for most of our lease here, the complex has decided to change the paint on the building along with a few other things. While I understand the need for renovation at times, we were not notified before we signed our lease agreement. My husband works nights and sleeps days and the work they did was so loud, day in and day out. We paid to lose sleep, be treated with unkindness and not have parking. I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone.
Staff did very friendly, apartments are very cozy. It's gated, I feel very safe living here AND they don't have pet restrictions! How cool is that?!
I have lived here for a year. It is very quiet. The staff is friendly. They are updating the development. Great, centralized location. Pet friendly. Fast response to repairs. Reasonable rents. Cons:The cabinets are horrible-- peeling particle board and I don't like walking through mud to get to my car after it rains. Many of the apartments have been updated and the items I am complaining about should be fixed over the next year.
Beautifully designed apartment with decorator touches. I have a washer & dryer in the unit, which I love! and it saves my time and money. Office staff is professional and maintenance staff is excellent. They are constantly striving to improve. And best of all....pet friendly!!
The Place at Castle Hills is a great environment, staff was very friendly! The apartments are in good condition and have worked out great for me. I highly recommend this property for future apartment finders!
I live in a small one bedroom. It's perfect for one person, limited storage space but over all it's perfect for me.
I've only lived here for a month but I like it so far. I had a problem with a neighbor's dog barking at night and the management handled it the next day. No barking dogs anymore. Complex seems generally safe and well maintained. Not the absolute best in San Antonio but great for the price.
