We have lived here for 4 years and finally moving out. Its not been great since birge&held took over 2/3 years ago. we lost our amenities in 2020 and the'yve offered nothing in replace of that but continue to jack up rent prices. There was a cheap renovation done a couple years ago and it has not held up well at all, countertops and painted cabinets chipping. Maintence never comes in a timely manner.. theres hardly ever anybody at the office it feels like they are extremely difficult to communicate with. kids are constantly running around the stairs and property without supervision. trash is always everywhere.. you can spend your money elsewhere to actually make it worth what you are paying for rent.

When I first moved to this community in 2019, I loved it. Management was fantastic, maintenance responded quickly, my neighbors were great.... And then the property was bought by another company. Prices sky rocketed while we lost amenities. Management is unreachable; the majority of the time when you call, you get a busy signal because they only have one line in the office, and by their own admission, they don't see emails sent through the resident portal because "only some of them even have access". The focus entirely shifted to what's cheapest with zero regard for quality. The "renovations" took three times the amount of time they were supposed to, and the resurfaced counters were already wearing off within the first year. They hired the cheapest trash company they could, which turned into trash not getting picked up for weeks at a time because the trash company was short staffed, which led to RATS by the dumpster. Which led to residents getting an additional "pest control fee" added to their monthly costs because somehow it was our fault. The last month I was there, I filled out 3 maintenance requests for a leak in the closet where the furnace and water heater are because no one bothered to come check it out, even when the third request specifically told them there was black mold growing. DO NOT put yourself in a position to pay bougie rental prices for zero amenities and poor quality. You CAN find better, at better rates. I did...

If you miss the west side and want to pay a stupid amount of rent, look no further than Sawmill Park. Tenants blast music that shakes the walls at all hours of the day and night. Children roam free, standing in the middle of the parking lot and won’t move for cars. Tenants passed out drunk on the stairs at 7 in the morning. Let’s not forget the beautiful scenery of garbage everywhere. Absolutely amazing place to live if you don’t have a job and want to listen to music and yelling all night long, hope you enjoy not sleeping.

The walls are thin as paper so you can hear your neighbors conversations. Neighbors play loud music all throughout the night and management appears to do nothing about it. People are always allowing their kids to run around the complex making all kinds of noise as well as creating hazards driving conditions around the complex because they’re running around in the road. This place is cheap for reason and the new renovations is just trying to cover that up.

Don’t move here, dealing with roaches back to back. My apartment is very clean, I legit don’t even use the kitchen, yet It’s like a see a full grown roach at least once a month, the office needs to bomb the whole complex Bc I was told many other people called in to. Once it took two weeks for them to send someone to spray in my apartment. My first apartment and I’m sad i chose here

There's trash always built up in the area. When it snows, the only entrance can become too slippery to even exit. While the renovations were nice, if we didn't totally clear the area they were working in, we were fined even though they were uprooting everyone over the busiest time of year. You can't get in contact with the maintenance crew or landlords ever. Now they're increasing rent. It's just a bumble from start to finish so you might as well keep looking.
