Sawbuck

Off to worse start than we were expecting due to the issue with the keys and constant pet waste in the communication areas, but we do not regret our choice and hope these issues are expediently resolved.

1) Soundproofing: 4 stars Occasionally, the sound of neighbors’ washing machines, moving furniture, or playing with their dog can be heard. 2) Safety: 3.5 stars There have been several incidents of bicycle and delivery thefts. 3) Parking and loading zone: 2 stars Garage doors frequently break, and the unloading zone is often occupied by vehicles that stay for over 30 minutes.

I enjoyed living in sawbuck it is a good central location, close to transportation, has a great rooftop it reminds me of life island. The furniture on the 2nd and 8th floor I absolutely love if the ever have any pieces away I would love to have it. Staff is sweet and informative of any apartment complex problems and vocal about when the office will be closed.

I love living at sawbuck! Jody and Echo are so accommodating and helpful and made my move in (on my birthday!) an absolute breeze! I feel so proud to show my friends and family my new home.

Management is great, maintenance is great, the parking garage is a nightmare.

This is a beautiful building, the rooftop deck is really cool and looks directly into Providence Park, and my apartment is really nice. The car stacker took some getting used to but it's worth it to immediately have a garage spot (where it's almost impossible for it to be more secure). The staff are super nice and helpful. My gym is across the street so I've only used the fitness room when my gym has been closed, but it's really nice and has a decent amount of cardio and weights (and they supply towels).

I am so impressed with Sawbucks in all facets. The common areas are spotless and inviting. The apartment is in excellent condition and has very nice appliances and high end features. The responsiveness of the staff - both in general and the maintenance staff - is friendly and timely. The surrounding area offers excellent opportunities for recreational activities. Highly recommend.

Chose Sawbuck for the location near my work and it has exceeded my expectations. A safe, well-maintained, and friendly community that's close to everything in a very walkable neighborhood with a Max stop a block away (I've gone from driving daily to maybe once or twice a week, could easily live here without a car). Great amenities as well. So much more than just an apartment.

Sawbuck is one of my favorite spaces I’ve lived in. Fantastic location, attentive and friendly staff, overall sense of community, dog-friendly, and stellar amenities. Couldn’t ask for a better place to call home.

I am so happy to be living at Sawbuck. It is like living in a dream here. They have such great amenities, the neighbors and staff are so kind, and there is great community rapport here. The building itself is gorgeous and the location is great. I love the multiple options of types of units to rent and they are impeccable. It is really fun and peaceful to live here. Such a gift!

The aesthetic and lovely, friendly staff make living here feel like a hotel! The communal spaces that are available to use are great. I feel like I can work, go to the gym, socialize and go home all in one place! Great location next to a Max stop with an incredible view of Providence Park stadium from the roof. Highly recommend.

Staff is increadibly nice! They get to any issues right away. I love how clean and secure the building it. Pet friendly for those that have pets!

I love living in Sawbuck, its location gives my family easy access to public transport. Our unit’s size and design is perfect and most convenient for us. The shared areas and amenities are extensions to what we need in a home and is an absolute advantage. Highly recommended.

I’ve been here a short amount of time, but I already love everything about it. My apartment is such an upgrade , the color scheme is beautiful and there’s no cheap counter tops or floors. Everything is done just right and the whole building is always kept up very nicely.

Overall, I enjoy living here, and the positives outweigh the negatives. It’s always clean, the staff is very friendly, and it’s close to restaurants and downtown. My only negative concern is the safety of my mail because I have had things stolen from me, however in general I’ve had more packages not get stolen than those that have. It does just leave me a little uneasy and I need to be mindful about my deliveries

From my first phone call with Shenika (leasing professional) to the day I moved in, she was extremely helpful and communicative. Shenika was responsive, friendly and made the whole process feel easy and exciting. It was a HUGE difference from my experience at the last property I lived in. Sawbuck itself as a property is beautiful, super clean and well maintained. The rooftop deck is my favorite spot!

I would not recommend living here for these reasons. Rent rates of every type will increase each time you sign a new lease. The parking garage is broken on a weekly if not daily basis. There is few other parking options in the area and PBOT will not allow residents to have city parking permits within the Stadium District. The Timbers games brings folks who throw trash among our neighborhood on a weekly basis. There are unregulated construction sites nearby that allow reckless driving among our community which is adjacent to Lincoln High School. There are no public trash cans or restrooms nearby. This puts an additional strain on the neighborhood.

Moved to Portland from out of state and Sawbuck staff has been extremely helpful, friendly, and responsive from my first contact onward. I received all the information and answers I needed quickly, including a detailed video tour, and when it came time to tour in-person I was sold right away by the professionalism of the staff, the cleanliness and security of the building, and all of the amenities. The application, approval, and lease signing process went smoothly with no surprises, as did the move-in, and so far I'm loving it here.

Living at Sawbuck is a pleasure, it's exceptionally clean and the management is professional, knowledgeable, and responsive to any questions I may have. I'm grateful my dog is comfortable and at ease living here.

Sawbuck is a beautiful building with high quality materials and design, everything from the apartments to the halls to the shared spaces. The modern decor and the materials used inside the apartments give off a clean and bright impression that’s only gotten better.

I want to emphasize how much we loved the person who we originally met with and took us on our tour. My partner and I had been arguing in the car before we came in, feeling distraught, and Im not kidding, she and the energy inside the building made our strife completely disappear and go from negative to positively delightful. After that we felt the same with the others who we worked with. After viewing so many other apartment complexes and experiencing negative, apathetic, sometimes even rude, staff, we were SO happy to be treated so well and I have to say it did influence our choice to pick this place when I never thought that would be a factor for me since I keep to myself. Everyone’s been so warm and friendly and the energy here feels uplifted and safe because of it. I appreciate them so much. It definitely sets Sawbuck apart and makes living here like night and day to the fifteen other places in downtown area Portland we viewed in within a three day span of time.

I have lived in Sawbuck for 8 months so far and enjoyed every moment of it. Everything is excellent everyday, as of the time to enter into the lobby to the time you spend in your unit. The amenities are also excellent. All in all I feel very lucky finding Sawbuck to live in with my family.

Sawbuck is a absolutely fabulous building located in Goose Hollow. I moved from a beautiful building in The Pearl due to unsafe conditions at night walking my dog due to the homeless situation. Sawbuck is in beautiful Goose Hollow, close to Downtown and NW 23rd and 21st which is full of shops and restaurants. Mikes of gorgeous parks are in this area to walk my dog. The Timbers stadium is right across the street if you’re a soccer fan. We have 2 viewing rooftops plus a business mezzanine if you work from home or are an entrepreneur. I can’t say enough about how wonderful the office staff, location and amenities are at Sawbuck. Kate, Hailey, Bri, and Louie respond to all requests promptly, and truly care about their residents being happy here. Wonderful place. Can’t say enough!! Cheers, Misty

The apartments themselves are gorgeous with beautiful amenities. The staff is always so friendly and fast at getting back to you if you ever need to reach out to them. They have security as well which makes you feel extra safe! Love how pet friendly they are as well. Super happy living here.

I spent a good amount of time looking at rental units before deciding on Sawbuck. While units are a little on the expensive side, it is well worth it. My apartment is comfortable and big compared to a lot of the other 1 bedrooms I saw throughout Portland. The Sawbuck Team is really helpful and always has a smile on their face as they make sure the building is up to standard/ code. The communal shared spaces are well maintained and include an on-site gym, work spaces, rooftop grill and balcony overlooking Providence Park. The community here is a lot of fun and respectful overall. Definitely enjoying my time at Sawbuck.

This has been a great place to land as a transplant from NYC, working in Beaverton. Great commute that helps avoid most traffic, and also right next to a Max stop. Rooftop is amazing and love that it is a quieter neighborhood in the evenings. Walking distance to lots of nightlight options too. Staff is also amazing and quick to respond.

This apartment is in the best part of Portland, and also has great amenities. Everything is brand new, and we have a great view of the Portland Timbers stadium. If you are a fan, you can see most of the pitch from the roof and community room.

Sawbuck has been a great place to live so far. We look forward to building even more memories here. The staff is great! The amenities are great! Definitely checked off our list when looking for an apartment.

I haven't lived in an apartment community in a long time. I couldn't have made a better choice than Sawbuck. I love my home. The maintenance team, the front desk and office personnel are all amazing people. I feel blessed to call Sawbuck my home!

Overall our experience has been great! The management is friendly and professional. They do a great job creating a nice community atmosphere. They seem to have a pretty solid system and the location is perfect for our needs. Lot's of ammenities on site as well as close to various shopping and restaurants.

Sawbuck has been such a lovely place to live. The amenities are really useful, I love the co-working space and the roof top fire pit. The views of downtown from my bedroom window are unreal, and the west hills from my balcony is the cherry on top. I am so happy with my decision to move here.

Moving to Sawbuck has been a great experience. The office staff are super helpful and friendly, the apartments are well put together, and the amenities are gorgeous. I have only been here a week and I have used the roof top terrace 3 times!
