I have lived here for the past six years. In that time, I have never had any major issues or complaints. I understand the complex is a bit older and things will eventually need maintenance, but so far, I have not have any reason to consider moving out. The management staff have always been very professional and helpful which is a big part of why I continue to renew my lease each year.

It’s clean and well taken care of. The walls are pretty thin and I can hear what most people around me are doing in their daily living. The parking issues are not very good. However I do feel very safe here. I love that dogs are welcome and that I get to see many different dog’s everyday.

The grounds and apts are pretty clean and up to date. Maintenance on the grounds very good. Dogs are allowed the cost of having a dog and rent is pretty pricey. Water and sewer not included in rent. Parking is not good at all.

It is an excellent place to live; however, the rent is becoming too expensive! I’ve lived here a long time and have enjoyed every year! The only issue as of late is the constant rent increases!

Overall it is a nice complex. Some minor issues with the parking that hopefully get resolved. Most of the residents clean up after their pets but some do not.

Santee Villas has been a pleasure of a place to live for the last 8 months! Its quiet, beautiful and the neighborhood is family oriented and very safe. The pool, the amenities, the apartments themselves are all a breath of fresh air compared to many places we have lived / looked at. We feel proud to he residents at such an awesome community :)

I like living here. I’m coming up on my 11th year. The apartments are roomie and have nice amenities like a fire place and washer and driers in the unit.
I’ve been a resident at Santee Villas since 2010. I’ve had no issues with my unit. My neighbors are great. Love that the units and common areas are upgraded. The management and maintenance staff are professional and courteous. Would recommend Santee Villas to family and friends.
The units are beautifully done. I love that we have our own washer and dryer in our unit as that is a dealbreaker for me. Even with the switch in management we were kept in the loop and whenever we had any questions or issues, they responded in a timely manner.
Security is terrible...there are constant people there that are not residents drinking and hanging out late, jumping fence to use pool and urinating on walls
I dont know if I would recommend this community. It's nice for the most part, but the complex and my unit in particular smells like Marijuana 90% of the time even though this is a "Marijuana free" community. There are a lot of repairs that need to be done, and the appliances are not great quality. They are a little overpriced.
One of the great things is the location. I love the ability to walk over across the street to be able to go to Starbucks or get something to eat, and the Walker Trail is close by to head out my door and go for a run.

The absolute worst place to live. I will be letting everyone know this. Ridiculous how the office treats the tenants, both current residents and ones that are leaving.
Considering my rent has increased $500 a month since moving in and I can't even get a light bulb from the maintenance I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
The apartments have great amenities and the office staff is great.
I just think its really lame to increase rent upwards 200.00 during a pandemic...somebody is really greedy!

No security ever comes here...people who don't live here come late at causing nuisance at the pool and fire pits
The change in parking rules was the last straw for me. The very limited guest parking and extreme hassle in getting guest parking approved made it difficult for my grown children to visit.
I am an older person and it' been very difficult getting used to slamming doors, blasting stereos, and just a general disregard for peoples peace and quiet.
The water Bill and trash was the most I've ever paid, even when I lived in a house it wasn't that much.
The beautiful apartments and grounds, and quiet peaceful feeling.
Walls are paper thin and you can clearly hear conversations when in the bathroom. A/C doesn't really work that well. Upstairs neighbors sound like their playing real life Mortal Kombat. Parking spaces are made for Mini Coopers.
Very respectful and quiet neighborhood. Great management and cleanliness of amenities. Maintenance responds fast to requests and works respectfully.
Everyone is very nice and very helpful. Even in the chaos of a couple of floods from the apartment upstairs, they were helpful and understanding of my frustration.
Don’t ever move here. Management is awful. One of their contractors spilled cement all over my car. All I got was an apology. You will NOT under any circumstance receive your deposit back. All of the amazing amenities have been unavailable for almost a year. But you will still pay for them.

Support from the leasing office is beyond reproach. They helped me out so much during an incredibly difficult time for me. They are always ready to assist and answer any and all questions I have. Parking is the only issue I have in this complex. Although parking on the street is never hard to find, other apartment complexes in the area have adequate parking spaces for the average family size.
I have lived here 14 years and am very satisfied with the accommodations and management.
I would suggest it for a single adult or a couple. Maybe even a single parent. But nothing more. It was a great starter home for me as a single parent when I first moved in with just my oldest daughter.
The apartment amenities are wonderful. However, they restricted with the playground area, with the balconies, with the parking.

Parking here for guest is awful. You have 6 guest parking spots that we pay $20 for an there never empty Guest want to visit An not have to park on the street blocks away you really need to fix this problem

I'd recommend it for safety, cleanliness, location, the new pool area, playground and poolside lounges, as well as the ability to have a pet. It's a little expensive but we've enjoyed it and hope to continue.
The upgraded units are fantastic, but I feel overly expensive.
Would not recommend for the sole reason that summers are way too hot and the ac unit is not enough to cool the whole apartment and makes it hard to sleep in a hot bedroom. fans are not enough.
Great community. The office really responds quickly to concerns and offers great community events to get to know your neighbors. They go above and beyond and all of our neighbors are great people. I feel very safe in this community.
Parking is limited. Neighbors smoke near windows and then leave cigarette butts behind. Definitely best for a family of four if not only three. Otherwise management and maintenance are amazing and knowledgeable.

I would recommend this place cause it's so close to Christ United Reformed Church.
Parking can be an issue. Some neighbors can park too close blocking our doors from opening so we have to climb across the passenger seat to get out. Spiders are a problem.
