Playa Vista is a west L.A. neighborhood adjacent to the 405 and just north of LAX. On top of being very close to the airport and the freeway, living in Playa Vista pits you just a few blocks from the beach and right next door to Loyola Marymount University, as well as the growing tech sector in the neighborhood; this unique positioning means that your neighbors represent a diverse mix of backgrounds, from students and airline workers to surfers and software developers and everything in between.

I chose runway because I wanted to live in Playa Vista and Runway is located literally in the center of playa Vista. Amenities are great and the community center for playa vista residents are also very close. You can walk to whole food and CVS which makes your life so much easier. Some of facilities may not be as fancy as the ones in the newer complex in playa vista but I’d still say that it’s a reasonable choice. The staffs are so good too! The only down side would be the package room ?? but other than that I am satisfied with overall

My experience has been fantastic. I was able to take a tour with Gemini before moving in. She was extremely knowledgable and helpful. She answered all of my questions and checked on issues she was unsure of. I signed the agreements the next day. I've been really happy with the staff here, as well as the amenities.

Overall I love Runway, but some things could be improved. WiFi at the pool and lounges has been a great improvement. I’d love WiFi in the rest of the common areas like the roof and the second floor area with the grills in South B. The WiFi in the new exec lounge is also slow sometimes. The fire pit on the second floor of South B doesn’t work.The door to garage to not close easily and is often left open, so entry to building is unsecured. The new cabanas by swimming pool in the main building are flimsy. Multiple have malfunctioned/ broken. Curtains are flimsy and ineffective. The little chairs on the east side of pool are not comfortable and should be replaced with more lounge chairs. The pool sticks in the South B game room never have useable tips. There’s only one hot tub in the entire complex and it’s very small. It would be great to have more. The people who leave their Whole Foods shopping carts and dog poop on Millenium drive should be apprehended and punished severely.

Beautiful entrance, rooms, gym, pool. and Leasing office is very helpful. All facilities are functioning and easy to use. My only concern is bugs in the summer.

Overall the neighborhood, the property, the staff, the maintenance, are all great. The only reason I knocked it down one star is the price-to-value has eroded greatly since we moved here three years ago. Current rents and/or those units with increases are now at a level where it makes sense to look elsewhere. There are now better values in LA, and other major cities in California that are attractive at a lower pricepoint for better living situations. Also, some of the units finishes are getting old (like IKEA-quality kitchen and bathroom cabinets totally worn out). And the standard in-unit washing machine is really substandard, barely works.

Cons: Window Cleaning Issue: Unfortunately, the window cleaning service fell short, and the expected fix is scheduled a year out. This is a notable drawback for those valuing clear views. Pricing Concerns: While discounts for new residents are generous, the absence of renewal incentives might impact the perceived value for money.

The appartment and the facilities are nice and well kept. Just a few little details like an updated washer dryer could be in order. I’ve taken pictures of the stuff marks and cracks on the appartment floor and certain fixtures. That’s pretty much out of the buildings control due to previous renters but worth documenting for all intents and purposes. The staff is lovely. -Very helpful. I like the amenities. Looks like they kept things well maintained in the duration of the buildings existence. Their gym is well stocked with what you need for a good workout. Although they could use a machine that works your quads and hamstrings. I like the convenience of the location close to parks, shops, and restaurants. Over all I rate this living experience an A-.

Excellent amenities and the place always seems to smell like lemon, oranges or something else nice. Small details seemed to be looked after in places that other apartments might neglect (like the game room, or a basement elevator). Living in playa vista comes at a price, and Runway is somewhere in the middle of choices in PV.

Great area, the apartment could have designed minor things better like the sink facuets and shower. When signing the lease, setting up ladwp, internet, etc. It can be a little cumbersome and confusing, taking you to multiple websites/apps and having redundant information, particularly on payments.

Generally great facilities. Internet services are problematic, somewhat unreliable. Most other issues, if they arise, are quickly taken care of.

Been here 4 years and renewing for a 5th. I absolutely love it here. It’s a truly wonderful community. I especially love the dog park across the street and all the dog lovers here. Staff is so great too. Feel like they are neighbors too.

I love Resident Appreciation Day! Its a day were Runway showers you with many free perks! I missed puppy yoga last time, but i would have loved to have gone and pet those cute puppies! Runway has the best events for their residents! Thank you! Maintenance crew is also one of the best in my opinion. They go far and beyond to make living here a breeze. Thank you for keeping everything smelling so fresh and clean. You guys are the best!
