If you enjoy the strong smell of marijuana in your home, from your inconsiderate neighbors smoking in their apartments, then this place is for you! Management won't do anything about it either except chuckle over the phone when explaining your situation, and use the conflict resolution style of avoidance, hoping the problem will just go away. 1 Star out of 5.

Great property, I love living here. The apartment is fair in price for this side of town and is located in a great area. Blanca, at the Leasing office has been so SO helpful and nice. I had multiple little requests being as I'm pretty much a perfectionist about everything and they took care of everything I requested. They literally pressure washed my patio just for me which looks great now and they even setup a special routine pest control spraying as I'm afraid of bugs (Roahes Especially! which are EVERYWHERE in Texas) The apartment itself is in great shape and comes with quite a few upgrades, the included energy efficient stackable washer/dryer is an absolute dream and super convenient. The only thing this complex lacks is a fresh coat of paint (buildings are like 1990's boring brown color) It would also be really beneficial for the property/residents if the back gate worked again and I definitely agree with other residents here that mention that the gates need to be fixed for security purposes, safety was one of the main factors I moved here.
20 years of renting apartments in Austin and San Antonio--Costa del Sol is BY FAR the worst. Today was the final straw. I had been asking for a year to have my bathtub resurfaced (constant peeling while giving my 5 year old a bath, white junk from the surface in his hair) and the leak from the bathtub faucet fixed. Finally, after new management, they scheduled the resurfacing, then showed up on a different day while I was gone and they left my cat inside with no open windows while stripping and resurfacing it (which is extremely toxic). My cat is friendly and the vendor must have seen him. I pay 15$ cat rent per month but they gave the key to the vendor even after giving me a call I wasn't able to answer and leaving no voicemail. ALSO they didn't fix the leak FIRST, so the resurfacing is ruined. The vendor taped a plastic glove to the faucet so he could spray it, then left it like that, with the stopper plugged. It filled up quickly and by the time I got home the bathtub itself was half full. So all the refinishing was wet, bubbled up and now I don't even have a working bathtub or shower, since there is wet paint that won't dry around the drain. If I had not returned quickly, my cat would be dead. Those fumes kill PEOPLE sometimes.

The complex is very quite and conveniently located to all major shopping and expressways. Lovely neighborhood, 2 pools, grounds are kept up nicely. The office staff here is wonderful, but the frustration comes in when you need something fixed. It takes forever. We have lived here for 8 years and every year our lease is up, the rent goes up. If you have great tenants, that have been here for years , one would think you could keep the rent the same!
Costa Del Sol has been a great place to live for a 20 something living on her own for the first time. While the interiors could use some updating, the staff is always quick to respond to a clogged sink or a broken toilet. I have always felt safe coming home at night, and enjoy the fact that this is a gated community. Conveniently located minutes from grocery, dining, and entertainment, with a bus stop right outside the gate. In an area abundant with apartments, Costa Del Sol is by far the best on the block.
