Apart from a few businesses and medical offices, Five Oaks is predominately residential. For shopping, dining, and entertainment, many residents flock to the heart of Dayton. Conveniently, Five Oaks is located less than two miles north of Downtown Dayton. Thanks to Interstate 75, residents can easily travel to downtown and other metro areas.

Property Ratings at Rockwood Apartments
This building. Not just the apartments but the building itself has bed bugs, roaches, gnats. Maintenance will take months to come fix anything and refuse to do anything ab the roaches or bedbugs.
These are certainly older apartments that they’ve made a few touch ups but no updates to. You get a lot of space in a three bedroom for the price compared to pricey downtown. The neighborhood is fairly safe, and we walk to downtown regularly or walk around in the evenings without problems. Most residents in the building are nice, but a lot of lazy people that won’t return the complementary carts provided, and a lot of pot heads make it smell a lot. The floors are thin and if you have stomping upstairs neighbors you will hear it, and management doesn’t care. Management is not great either. They are friendly, but otherwise incompetent. It appears to be a relatively new management company or team still figuring out the simple things.
The apartments are very spacious, clean, and in good condition. The building is pretty quiet and well kept. The staff is sometimes rude and very short with you. It is evident that the maintenance team avoids hard work and often patch up issues therefore resulting in multiple visits for the same issue. I would recommend this place to others because the bad does not outweigh the good.

Our resident's happiness is of utmost importance to us, and rude staff is unacceptable. If a staff member is rude, please come speak to me (Jackie), and I'll make sure the issue is dealt with. Please come see me about the maintenance issues you're having. Without knowing who this is, I can't look up the work orders and see what was done to solve the issues your apartment was having. We don't look for quick fixes, rather we do whatever we can to ensure the problem is fixed the first time. This isn't always possible, but our maintenance team works very hard to solve any and all apartment issues. Please come speak with me about the issues you're seeing in your home and we'll see what we can do to improve your experience here. Thanks!
