Property Ratings at River Place Apartments
We loved living here. From our first interaction with Shianne all the way up until we moved out 2 years later. The apartment was all redone with new carpet and paint before we moved in. Was a quiet secure building. The underground parking was really nice in the winter and we never had issues if we needed maintenance and even then we only needed them once. I felt the price was great for the area.
Megan has been a great asset to River Place Apartments! She has been nothing but kind, accommodating, and patient with my needs as a tenant! I wish River Placr and Megan nothing but success!
Management is NO WHERE to be seen. A fire happened at the apartments and many tenants tried to get ahold on them and shocker, no one could. Maintenance is also no where to be seen. No matter how many requests you put in you’re at least waiting 4-5 months before they come and you better hope they fix it right the first time. Management also doesn’t care about literal crimes taking place in the apartment as when they are informed they simply say “we can’t do anything about it unless we see it happening. It doesn’t matter how many people complain about it.” How are they supposed to see it if THEY’RE NEVER IN BUILDING. They have no cameras, so many of mine and others packages have been stolen. The garage door is always broken, letting anyone walking the streets to just come into the apartments. There is no commutation between managers and maintenance as we’ve gotten 5 “fines” from misconduct that never occurred because “maintenance said they saw it.” Rent is also SUPER overpriced. They’ve raised rent 2 times. The pool hasn’t been working in over 8 years. I can go on and on about this crap of a place. PLEASE DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.
Riverplace Apartments should stop advertising a pool and hot tub. The hot tub has not been open for at least 3 years and the pool has not been open for the last two years. The pool hasn't been open due to Covid, though all other apartment complexes in the area had their pool open during these times. They are unsure if the pool will be open again another year due to work that needs to be completed on it. They need to stop advertising they have a pool if it isn't functioning.
The grounds are beautiful, and the apartment we rented was attractive and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the fireplace, the efficient kitchen, and the underground parking. Shirley was always ready to help with questions and concerns, and Wayne did an excellent job of taking care of any work that needed to be done.
Shirley is amazing and works hard to take care of the residents. The maintenance worker, Wayne, is very visable and approachable. Everything about living here was great. The location is amazing, everything is so close. The grounds are wonderfully kept and the building is as well. Being right on the river was really nice during the warm weather.
Decent apartment for the price. Several issues with maintenance getting things done in a timely manner, so must be able to do small keep up by yourself. Accessible to several Oshkosh area things to do, and nice that it is right on the river.
Overall the apartment was pretty good. The location was very scenic being next to the river with many different paths along the river for biking, walking, or running. If you attend the local university there it is just down the road and is an easy walk. They have a great courtyard in back right by the river as well as a pool for your entertainment. The only complaint that I would have is the parking situation. They don't really regulate the outside parking; however, they are getting much better with a new manager joining their team. Overall it was a great place for me to live while finishing school.
