West of Philadelphia and bordering I-476, Broomall is a large CDP that contains the Marple Township. This historic community is home to one of the state's oldest English Quaker houses -- the Thomas Massey House, built in 1696. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the house is open for tours every Sunday from April through October.
Situated less than 20 minutes from Downtown Philadelphia, Broomall is a great location for commuters. SEPTA provides a mass transit alternative to driving. Closer to home, there's a large shopping area along Sproul road, especially between Lawrence Road and Reed Road. Broomall features several parks, including New Ardmore Avenue Park, Veterans Park, and Lawrence Park. The Marple Sports Arena hosts roller hockey and inline skating as well as trade shows, concerts, comedy shows, and other events.

Property Ratings at Rittenhouse Apartments
Do not do business with Apt Management. Do not rent here. The property manager and maintenance are horrible.
It is a nice apartment but these rooms are way smaller than you see in the pictures that advertise the apartment.
Like other review mentioned. Hallways are dirty and the parking lot is not kept up. There’s potholes and you can barely see the lines. The apartments are nice for the price and area but definitely not worth the recent rent increases. Cons: There isn’t an AC in the second bedroom and the windows are vertical so cannot buy a regular AC. No central air so PECO bill was really high in the winter. Like $250+ for my two bedroom. Closets are ok but poorly designed. Hard to reach into the sides really. Our refrigerator’s water machine was broken when we moved in and they never fixed it. Painted the walls with really cheap paint that are impossible to clean (flat paint I assume) AC didn’t work too good but they refused to replace it because it’s one of the “newer ones.” Not much information given on the place. There’s supposedly a code to enter the building but we were never told it so we don’t know. Pros: Washer & dryer and dishwasher in apartment so that’s nice and we haven’t had any issues with them. Nice amount of closet space, wish it was walk in though. Balcony. Allows pets. The maintenance guy is really nice and always comes really quickly. Area is nice. Secure. I’ve only had a package go missing once and that was because the delivery guy left it outside of the building. Never had any issues with mice or bugs, which can be common in apartments.
Building is very dirty and management does not do anything to keep up with the inside of the hallways. Laundry room is filthy and the machines never work. Constantly dealing with walls leaking from above units. Definitely not worth the price.
