The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Ridgeview Heights Apartments
Went under new management in November 2017 I think, but this is a place that has been falling apart for years. Pipes in the basement leaked from October to April until someone fixed them. A water test was done last fall and many apartments showed a concerning amount of lead. There is little to no ventilation in the bathroom. Being pregnant, it means I don't feel safe even cleaning in there. I moved in 2 years ago, and the apartment still stinks of cigarette smoke from time to time. Our sliding glass door is difficult to open, and at move in, the super said that they wouldn't be able to do anything about it as a result of the brick building settling in such a way that it can't even be replaced. You can't see the lines in the parking lot, so people park wherever they want. Our hallway has been partially painted since before this new management took over. It is dangerous to pull out onto the road in the winter because the snow is piled up like walls. You need to just believe that no one is there to get out of that place. AND the new management want to charge people over $100 more than what I'm paying! It's not even worth what I pay. On the bright side, the neighbors are friendly and very helpful. It's nice to have a community with other dogs that mine can play with. Being surrounded by farmland makes it pretty peaceful over there, too.
These apartments are located rather close to UCONN, making it perfect for students. This does lead to some loud partying at nights sometimes, however, and the floors are super thin so you can hear everything that happens directly upstairs. Walls themselves are very thick and you won't hear the neighbors across from you. In the two years I spent there, I mostly kept to myself and didn't have any problems. When I did, though, the superintendent never once fixed any of my problems. He would often say that it wasn't broken or that I was doing something wrong, or he'd get upset that I didn't tell him sooner, and then nothing would be fixed. The sink backed up from upstairs several times and that was never fixed; same with the stove burners barely working and the master bedroom thermostat not turning on until it was set to about 74, meaning you had to either be too hot or too cold in the winter. When I had loud neighbors above me, to the point where I had to call the police on them over a domestic dispute, I was yelled at by the workers and called "nosy" in Spanish to my face, them thinking I wouldn't understand what they said. The main superintendent is loud and gruff and will be nice to you when you move in but won't fix anything and will find the tiniest reasons to deduct massive amounts from your deposit without giving you a chance to defend yourself. The price of washing went up twice while I was there. I guess $1.75 per load is still fairly low, but it was $1.25 when I moved in, and the washing machines and dryers often broke. All that being said, it wasn't the worst place. It was my first apartment and I will have fond memories of being there. Just be aware that you get what you pay for, and the place is one of the least expensive in north eastern CT.
this is a great country setting to live in, great neighbors and lots of land and relaxing days to enjoy in the country.
