Known as San Diego’s second downtown, University City is one of San Diego’s best places to live. Named for housing the University of California East Campus, University City is also known for being home to multiple medical facilities and technology companies. University City also has excellent public schools. Westfield UTC, a sprawling upscale mall in the center of the neighborhood, provides residents with upscale retailers, trendy restaurants, a year-round skating rink, and more. Renting in University City places you minutes away from the amazing outdoor opportunities SoCal is known for. Go hiking at the Rose Canyon Open Space Park or travel miles a few miles west and spend some time in the water at the La Jolla Cove. For even more shopping, dining, and entertainment options, Downtown San Diego is about 20 minutes south. Rentals in this charming, laid-back locale are mid-range to upscale and include everything from Mediterranean-style single-family homes to luxury student housing.

We're thrilled to hear that you've had a positive experience with our maintenance team at Regents La Jolla. Their quick response and friendliness are qualities we're proud of. Thank you for your feedback and the 4-star rating!
Many persons own their appartment here. It might indicate that the place is good for long term staying. There are many oversensitive ears and watching eyes here, that is sometimes good, sometimes annoying. The two beautiful pools are the most desserted pools in the area. I dont know why....
I love living here. It’s beautiful, clean, carefully maintained, and friendly. Going on my seventh happy year here at Regents La Jolla.

This place is my personal heaven since my hubby and I arrived 2017 from Chicago. Spacious layout, top appliances, delightful patio looking down on lushly-landscaped courtyard, super maintenance, responsive management. Even great neighbors! Manager Julian effective and accessible; office staff Bianca, Faith, Dane, Angela so professional. Did I mention superb maintenance? Love it here!

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us at Regents La Jolla. We're happy we could meet your expectations! Thank you so much again for your feedback! We hope you have a great day!
This place is a delight. Excellent and responsive maintenance and management, beautifully kept up, quiet, clean, safe—a real pleasure to live here.
Garbage service and overpriced. Waited weeks to address the mold in our apartment then left the job unfinished. Please don’t move here.
Please avoid this place management is awful and service is really bad nothing gets fixed or works the only good thing about this place is the girl who actually did the tour. Equipment is awful my clothes got destroyed from using the dryer and still not functional but nobody is willing to fix it or address the issue . This place is nothing but a headache
Overall it is a nice community with great club house and fitness center. The apartment is spacious, repair is generally quick and the people in leasing office are nice. However, the soundproof of the apartment is poor.
You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig beneath the surface. Think twice before leasing here. I have been a resident for nearly two years and had more inconveniences during this period than 10 years in a rental up north. Get used to FREQUENT water shutoffs (that's NO WATER, no toilet, no showers, NO WATER) "emergency" inspections in your apartment unit, structural and alarm testings, garage leaks that damage your auto, etc. A summer long of power washing and painting noise, jackhammering fountains, mandatory car movement in the garage to accommodate workers. The latest? A gas leak on the property 3/29/19 - residents in at least 3 buildings without hot water/heat for 5-7 days. Lipstick on a pig - you've been warned.
The management at this place is horrible. They don’t follow the rules and regulations. They give you trouble all the time and sometimes they enter your apartment without notice and create a mess in your apartment and on the top of that they never call or inform you that maintenance ever enter in your apartment. When you call the office they will say yes we allowed them and sorry not to inform you and just hang up. Be careful with the management at this property

Regents La Jolla is a fantastic apartment complex to live in. The complex is situated close to the Westfield UTC mall and only a 10 minute drive from the beach making it a convenient but also relaxing place to live in. Regents comes with great amenities such as a gym, two poolside cabanas, a lounge, sports club, movie theater, and dance studio--all of which (except the gym) can be reserved for private use with a fee. Not to mention that the movie theater plays movies that are not in theaters BUT not yet released on DVD (it's that in-between sweet spot). The complex itself is very clean and held to a high standard of luxury that only La Jolla can offer. I'm docking off 1 star due to the leasing office being difficult to work with every now and then. Some days the Concierge gives off the vibe that he/she does not want to talk to you. Additionally, I've also emailed Regents Operations managers regarding issues and have never heard back. Despite the staff being sometimes difficult to work with, Regents is a fantastic place to live in.
