The Scenic at River East

I moved here in 2023 and just resigned another 15 month lease. It's a great community and the office staff are fantastic. Madison specifically is an amazing staff member, along with Paula. Everybody works to together to provide excellent service to their tenants!!

The Scenic at River East is clean and safe, and the community/staff are friendly. Staff goes out of their way to create a warm community. They do this by having special events throughout the year. Maintenance requests are answered promptly. Overall, The Scenic at River East is a wonderful place to live.

Review of The Scenic at River East I strongly advise potential renters to steer clear of The Scenic at River East, managed by Greystar. My experience living here has been nothing short of a disaster, marked by continuous maintenance issues, rude staff, and hidden fees that they use to unfairly gouge tenants upon move-out. The nightmare began when my shower started leaking in February, causing severe water damage to the baseboards. I reported the issue numerous times, and despite multiple failed attempts to fix it—replacing baseboards, resealing the shower, and installing blockers—the leak persisted for months. Mold became a concern, but my pleas to management went largely ignored. In one particularly frustrating instance, I was forced to leave my apartment with my dog for an entire weekend while they attempted to fix the shower by resealing the pan. After vacating my home for 48 hours, as instructed, I returned to find the problem completely unresolved. No functional shower and no real solution in sight, despite all the inconvenience. Even when a plumber finally discovered the real issue—a crack under the shower pan—the repair process dragged on for weeks, leaving me without a usable shower for an extended period of time. I had to physically go to the office to get keys to a temporary unit, as management refused to answer my calls or emails promptly. I was left with a loud humidifier in my bathroom to be left running for a week. The lack of communication and disregard for my basic living needs was appalling. To make matters worse, when I moved out, they charged me for carpet damage caused by their own water leaks and used my pet addendum to stick me with hidden cleaning fees that were not made clear in the lease. These fees felt like nothing more than a money grab, especially considering the poor condition they left my apartment in. The Greystar staff, were rude and unprofessional, with no accountability for the continued problems in my unit. Paula even had the nerve to accuse me of not following maintenance instructions properly, which was both untrue and infuriating. If you’re considering living here, I highly recommend you think twice. Between the constant maintenance problems, the unprofessional staff, and the hidden fees, this place has been a nightmare. Save yourself the hassle and find a better-managed property.

Like I always say; there have never existed any apartment or townhouse or whatever you have without complains, however, it’s how the team responds to this complain/s that makes the difference, these guys at Scenic at River East are nothing but perfect, the work quality is top notch and their response time is outta this world

I just moved to the Scenic at River East and i am overall very satisfied with the application process as well as the entire complex. The floor plans are affordable and beautiful, and i love the location along the river. The location is perfect if you are an active person who enjoys being outdoors. The team of individuals working here have been SO helpful, from answering questions, to knocking out maintenance request. EXCELLENT service. If you're considering The Scenic at River East, i highly recommend you go for it. :)

I’m enjoying it here at Scenic at River East. Nice size front yard to relax in while my little guy runs around. Love the distance between apartments. Front office ladies always willing and ready to help in any situation and the most friendliest people. Lisa A

I have lived at the Scenic at River East for several months now. The Scenic is beautiful and is an exceptionally clean property. The staff and management are professional and courteous. They are concerned about their residents and they do all that they can to assist you and to make sure you are comfortable. The staff has always greeted me by name and with a smile. I am very happy living at the Scenic. I would recommend it to anyone!

Great community and awesome staff up front. Maddison really makes it easy on you and it feels great to be supported from both sides. Would definitely recommend a friend!

Scenic Hill has been a great place to live - the apartments are safe and modern in a prime location, maintenance addresses concerns immediately, and management is very friendly.

I left the Scenic after three years for numerous reasons, not the least of which was the new management. This my opinion. The pool might be nice to see but more and more often thugs, invited or not, would come to the pool, drink beer out of glass bottles and start fights. Security does nothing. Many dogs run around off leash and may endanger other animals. That’s city code. And, dog poop is often left. The security gates here break often. One of my friends visited early one morning and his car was towed away in 2 hours ($300). In addition, because the gates were broken thieves broke in my garage and stole two bikes valued at over $5,000. Of course no security footage to get their license plates. Other potentially very serious life safety issues with this place (ie live fire cooking next to the building), but I’ll let the city take care of that… The management is too busy worrying about the tenant trash policy than the life safety issues above. You get numerous emails a month with threats of fines for putting trash out too early or leaving the little plastic trash container they issue out after the designated shot time period to retrieve it. And, forget about trash service on Fridays and Saturdays..when you’re most likely to clean the place or have friends for dinner. The place appears to be a money grab after the The rent and fees in my opinion are excessive. They charge extra fees for everything…trash, package delivery, online rent payments, community utilities, etc. Your actual rent is not what is quoted. My final straw was when I found a black furry moist substance growing above the shower and out of the bath ac vent. So I had it tested at a lab and they concluded 5 types of mold. My age allergies are far better sine I moved out at the end of this October. I didn’t even stay the last month and a half of my lease. As for move out charges, they are also a money grab in my opinion. The Scenic charged me over $1,200 for items such as: heavy cleaning (I paid to have it cleaned and took pictures), minor picture hanging holes, all new paint, full carpet replacement in bed room because of dog odor(my dog never had an accident and preferred the couch at night) and over $400 for unknown ‘utility’ charges that was never explained. All of these items ‘ARE NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR!’ Especially, if you’ve lived there for three whole years paying their excessive rent and fees. I can afford it but it’s the principle that matters to me.

I am a new and very happy resident of The Scenic at River East! It is a beautiful well kept community. The Management Staff is Professional, Courteous and Personable. The Manager took time out of her busy day to personally call me before I ever received my keys for move in - to give me a warm welcome to the community AND to assure me that She was available if I needed anything. That is the first time I have experienced that and I was so impressed! The Assistant Manager personally walked me through the process of the move-in. She helped me with paperwork - answered all of my questions and made it easy and even enjoyable! I really appreciate the staff at The Scenic! I have relocated to Fort Worth from another state. I can truly say they have made me feel right at home! I would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone! If you are not living here, what on earth are you waiting for!

Great Community Great Amenities Great Place To Call Home

I love that the office is always hosting events for the community. I feel like we are always well informed about any changes that happen within the complex and the staff is always super friendly! The maintenance team is quick to fix any issues and we are always well informed about where in the process our request is at.

Great place to live! Close to many attractions Fort Worth has to offer. The maintenance team is very responsive and quick to get the job done which is a plus. Management is very nice and always help with any questions or concerns you have!

I love it here the facilities are always well kept up and racheal always is so nice and helpful.

I thoroughly enjoy living at The Scenic at River East. I’ve lived here a little over two years now and have never had any issues. People in the office are always very helpful and the maintenance staff is top notch. The amenities here are wonderful. The grounds are well kept and maintained beautiful surroundings. My apartment is so spacious and I have a gorgeous view of the river and downtown. I am very happy I chose these apartments when I made the decision to simplify my life.

I have really enjoyed staying here at the scenic. Rachel has been so helpful with any questions and concerns that I have had and I can say enough positive about this complex and the management.

The apartment complex alone is very beautiful! I can't complain. Amenities are beautiful. However, our moving in experience was the absolute worst! My husband and I drove all the way from Chicago and when we arrived, the apartment unit was not ready at all. It is very dirty, old vegetables are still in the fridge, looks like the previous tenant's belongings were still there— wigs, bottled water, hairpins. Floor is disgusting! Rachel was helpful, she tried to help us find a unit that is ready for moving in but there's none that is the same with the floor plan we want. We ended up cleaning the unit ourselves. Take note, I called days before moving in and made sure that everything is set up so we have a place to stay. I was reassured that it's all ready. I called the office and Samantha was also helpful as far as setting up cleaning appointment. What an experience!!

Do not recommend, hard to get anything done. Office and management do not help, return calls or inform residents of anything happening at the property.

Moved to Texas from another state due to job opportunity, this complex stood out to me because of the interior design & reasonable pricing. Spacious! Upon moving in, I was really impressed about how clean and well maintained the apartment was. Any issues or concerns I’ve had, has been addressed and solved almost immediately so far. I’m also impressed about how quiet the community actually is.

It's pretty, lively, and safe. And the staff is great, specifically Rachel- she's awesome!

We love the amenities: pool, exercise room, gated access and the apartment is very nice.

I moved into The Scenic when it first opened back in 2017. For years I really enjoyed living here-the community, our neighbors, the office staff-honestly not too many complaints overall. Since Greystar took over, it's been such a disappointment. Our back gate was broken for *months*. Like completely wide open for just anyone to walk/drive in & park in our already tiny resident parking lot. Several of our neighbors reported break-ins and thefts from their cars and garages and I personally had packages stolen from the mailroom during this time. A real concern for me is the fact that we used to have security in the evenings and now we don't. You can't even call for help or leave a msg after hours because their office mailbox is full. I love this place but sadly the new mgmt team has really brought it down. I hope they can get it together...

Scenic at river east is amazing. The office is responsive, the maintenance is urgent when requested. The environment is very social.

I recently moved here and though I had a challenge or two with a neighboring resident, management was swift in helping resolve the issue. That counts for a lot. Solid experience thus far and highly recommend.

I love my apartment, especially the layout, and my neighbors. It’s a community with a lot of young, respectful professionals. I believe they might have a corporate program that attracts a lot of them here. I wanted a place that was less parking garage and more walking space with the upgraded features. It is a little pricey, but I think it’s well worth it. Thank you, Scenic!

as the title states, I pay way too much rent for an apartment complex with faulty gym equipment and incompetent staff. Not to mention I have extremely disrespectful college kids in the unit above me throwing loud parties every evening until 4 or 5am with no respect towards their neighbors. I have called the courtesy officers many times about my horrible neighbors and they have not done anything about it. I call the front office staff, they don’t do anything about it either. I do not pay over a thousand dollars a month to live in such a trashy apartment. 100% not worth the price they charge. Something else that is extremely frustrating is this package system. They don’t tell you this when you are touring or even signing, but if the package is too large to fit in the lockers designated for pickup, you have to go pick it up otherwise it is returned to the sender. This is extremely inconvenient for people who work because they cannot just drop it off at your apartment. if this place was 70% cheaper, I would understand the lackluster service and gym equipment that doesn’t work. After all, you get what you pay for. However, I am definitely paying too much to have an experience like this. I decided about 1 month after moving in that I will not be signing with this place again. It’s been almost a year (finally) and I can’t wait to move out.

The staff is completly incompetent, you have to ask twice for anything to ever get done. The nighttime security guy oversteps and is so invasive, he really thinks he’s in the FBI. I absolutely do not feel welcome in my own apartment complex, by the security officers.
