I have lived at the Presidential Towers for over 2 years. I moved in while going to college and I’m still enjoying my apartment 2 years later. The location is perfect for transportation with Metra, CTA, and Amtrak Union Station steps away. I walk less than 10 minutes to Mariano’s grocery, Walgreens, and other local stores. I can take a long stroll in the building by traveling across all 4 towers without being outside. I can also take a break from my apartment in the lounge, meeting, or study areas. The community atmosphere is welcoming, making it a great place to live. All age groups are represented, and the building also offers a playroom for kids. The outside terraces are great for grilling in the summer. The management, security, and maintenance teams are focused on professional service. The management team is responsive, taking care of my issue promptly. I make my maintenance request online; maintenance often knocks on my door within two hours. The common areas are clean, and package delivery is a breeze. The building has a fitness gym conveniently located inside the building. Unfortunately, the gym membership is not included in the rent payment, and it is rather expensive compared to others in the area. The gym does offer a small discount to residents, but I feel the cost is still too prohibitive for my budget. I wish the gym cost was included in the rent or a limited-use membership to make the cost more affordable. I think Presidential Towers is unique in the area because of its diverse community and events that include high-quality food vendor events, indoor plant sales, and organized “used household items for sale” events. Overall, I highly recommend Presidential Towers to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to call home!

The view is great, and the location is easy to access: CTA L-train, bus routes, Amtrak, and Metra. Luxer One package room service is very convenient, safe, and relaxing. Maintenance requests are promptly completed. The staff is accommodating and friendly.

unacceptable roach problems are ongoing. pest treatment is inconsistent and ineffective. leasing staff hides the truth about this. LAZ rate is too high compared to other competing properties around the city.

It's a great place to live, conveniently located near many destinations with easy transportation. The only thing I wish it had is a gym and a pool. Currently, you have to pay a lot extra to access these amenities.

PT should be promoting the convenience and location of living here, especially for seniors and retirees looking to downsize/move back to the city. Shopping, entertainment, education, healthcare are all within walking distance or within access to convenient transportation. And, PT has more closet space than other rentals. The location is great, rent is competitive, plenty of amenities, staff is always super friendly and professional, gym right in the building, and my apartment has plenty of space. I lived here for 3 years and it has its pros and cons. The location, the views, the cleanliness of the apartment when we moved in and the initial security by Titan of the building were the best things about this place, other than that it's a wreck. Elevators and laundry rooms are always in repair and laundry is a minimum of $70 a month with how much it costs and that's even if it works, they don't refund you and PT takes no accountability for what happens in the laundry room. I've has many things taken from me in my time there. The main building is kept in okay shape, during the daytime but when it's Nighttime, anywhere between 15-50 kids plus their families runaround screaming and taking up all the space in the common areas. I've been run into, shoved and then parents look at me like ot my fault. Management has done nothing even with multiple complaints. THE GYM IS NOT PART OF THE APARTMENTS!!! It's with FFC and they charge at least $90 a month for a membership. My apartment personally had cockroaches in it and even with calling in maintenance, it didn't help. I finally bought my own repellents and they stayed away. I've been informed but workers that we talked to throughout our years there about MANY issues with bed bugs and cockroaches just being "swept under the rug". They don't notify other residents when it's near them and keep it hush hush. The parking garage has multiple break ins annually but PT won't hold itself accountable becasue they don't own it. Not to mention parking is so expensive and literally anyone can go in there, there's no security. They did scaffolding on the buildings for about 2 years while I was there, not only was it such a disturbance for those 2 years with no rent credit or any other accommodations, the water damage near the windows and walls and terrible breezes during seasons makes it feel like it was just to charge you more. The AC can be on blast all day and still feel so hot from the air that drafts in (same thing with winter time) and you wouldn't believe who has to pay for it, you. The initial rent plus the other fees they giving you at the end of the month add an additional $100-$150 plus all of the other bills your responsible for paying for so keep that in mind. The only reason we stayed there for so long was because we could still afford it and didn't want the hassle of moving but total charges upwards of $2000 a month for a studio is just crazy. Elevators don't work. Residents who pay on time for last 5 years are not important for management. In summers you'll be in sauna and won't be able to sleep, aparantly PT does not have both heat and cold unit together. Rent is not justified. Go newly built apartments

So far (I am coning up on 2 years) my experience at Presidential Towers has been generally positive. The location is really good. The prices are reasonable. Having a full gym (a separate membership at extra $$ is worth it) in the same community is a big plus especially during winters. A major annoyance I have faced so far was during last summer when only 2 out of 4 elevators were working but PT eventually resolved that issue and this summer the elevator situation is pretty good overall.

I have a lot of gripes with PT: * the elevators occasionally break down forcing you to wait 10+ minutes or climb the stairs * no in-unit laundry * food delivery can't come upstairs so you have to meet them in the lobby * my unit has an uneven floor * lobby escalator can be be broken for months at a time * $50 lockout fee after 5pm * the switch from heating to AC is centrally controlled * the residents can be loud/obnoxious sometimes * no amenities However there are a few high points: * Great view * Great location * Low rent This is a good place to live if you're on a budget but if you can afford it and don't mind walking a bit further there are much better options.

Living at Presidential Towers is greatly convenient since it is located in downtown, near public transportation and restaurants. I like the fact that residents are supported by the maintenance and security teams. The maintenance team is available and can show up to your door in no time when called which is great. I love the activities that are organized for residents. The only inconvenience I would note is that there is always something going on (renovations, elevator or escalator down), and ask for residents to adapt which can be a little too much. The front desk personnel also can be rude at times but I am mostly satisfy with Presidential Towers.
