There were some problems primarily with the appliances in the unit upon move-in which were stressful, but maintenance and management were very helpful in addressing these as quickly as possible. The location is in a nice area that's quiet but still close to Columbia's town center and multiple village centers/squares. It's also near lots of walking paths and has plenty of parking.

Although we just moved in, the renting experience with Poplar Glen has been so positive. From the start, we received consistent/timely communication, a thorough tour with all questions answered, and a seamless move-in process. Our unit is super nice with up to date features and it feels like a very welcoming community - our neighbor even asked if we needed anything from the store on the day we moved in! I submitted 3 basic maintenance requests after moving in to ensure everything was working properly and they were all completed day of, which I haven't experienced at any other apartment complex before. Office staff has been so friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend.

I have been living here for over 2 years, the new management (Cardy) was an excellent choice! Weather, maintenance and pest control notifications are so APPRECIATED and recognized. Maintenance staff AWESOME. The only things I would like to see more of is the trash and the doggie baskets be monitored and changed more often or revamped. I would like the missing ceiling fan that is supposed to be in my apartment installed. My apartment was initially sold with a ceiling fan but I have been told there are none in stock???

Poplar Glen is definitely a decent place to live. I have been here a long time 16 years. My rent has over doubled in that time which I find atrocious. Upkeep of the property is hit or miss especially the outside. I have lived under at least 4 different management companies. Until lately past month maintenance here has been good. If Greystar wants to continue raising the rent I think a face lift would be good for those of us that have been faithful renters.

The amount that the rent is going up every time you renew is ridiculous!! I’ve been here almost 4 yrs and the amount the rent house up is a problem! They should Do it every other year if they feel they really have to! That’ll work best! Maybe people would stay if it was like that.

The staff is disorganized. Rent renewals were SENT on 8/1/24 but we did not receive until 9/5/24, and we have to make our decision by 8/31/24. Well it’s too late for that!!! The office staff is so out of touch with its residents it’s probably the worst place I have lived due to staffing (Main staff, maintenance staff and cleaning staff). We are stuck in a precarious situation with the rent. We will not pay the up charged rent due to failure to receive the renewal letter! Grounds keeping is disgusting and disgraceful. There is ONE cleaning lady for all apartment buildings (not good enough). The maintenance crew do nothing all day but ride around on the golf cart like they are valets! They do no work. Pass trash that has been sitting by the NASTY NON FUNCTIONAL GRILLs for over a month! The property manager nor staff give 2 farts about this community and the people who pay OVERPRICED rent. Offer something that is worth living here for outside of the COLUMBIA location.

This community incentivizes tenants for reviews. Since move in various ongoing pest issues, water leaks, etc. Management is an utter disaster to say the least. If searching, look elsewhere.

The trails around the apt make this place seem magical. However, when dealing with billing or front office, it brings me back to a harsh reality. 4 months of being moved in, I just got my first water bill... along with no explanation. It's been a roller-coaster for sure. I wish there was more communication with the bill, because this is honestly a great apt to live in.

Maintenance requests are handled very quickly. Management staff is courteous and responsive. Only negative is that sounds tend to echo in the building lobbies, so it can be noisy at times.

Poplar Glen is a great apartment complex; the location is excellent and the staff members are professional and personable. I love my apartment layout. It’s easy to have a dog; there are plenty of waste disposal spots with the pick-up bags throughout the community. Also, maintenance response timely to request.

My lease ended February 15th, it is now April 13th (58 days later) and I have still not had my deposit returned. This property is managed by Greystar Worldwide, LLC. My emails have all been ignored, even though property management has acknowledged them in person. I sent a letter of demand via certified mail to the Greystar office listed on my lease, which is now vacant, and to the office in Arlington. The letter included my email and return address, no attempts have been made to contact me since it was delivered. Deposits are supposed to be returned within 45 days of the end of the lease and this has obviously not happened. I guess there is a reason why Greystar is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau

I really enjoy living at Poplar Glen. It is a safe, wonderfully located, clean and quiet community. Everything is closely located, the Columbia Mall, Howard Community College, Howard County Hospital of John Hopkins, doctors' offices, various dining venues. and some of the best schools in the nation. In real estate location is key but so are safety and other factors I feel that Poplar Glen offers not only safety but a clean and quiet atmosphere, Rory does an excellent job of maintaining the grounds, he doesn't let a scrap of paper stay on the ground, Our local police sometime patrol the area, which adds to my comfort level. If one chooses to live at Poplar Glen and become part of the community, it is a choice well made.

Poplar Glen is a 5 STAR Apartment homes they care apartments are very well kept inside and out . The community is great the landscaping is kept up and the hallways are always clean . Having a superb Manager and Assistant Manager and a great maintenance team and housekeeping team means a lot . After work I love to come home, and that means a lot, to a peaceful community. Great job Ms Davis and Candice . 5 Star to all.
