Apartment Reviews at Pointe at Central
My college apartment
I live here with my brother and its an amazing little 2/2. Theres plenty of room for both of us to enjoy ourselves. We have room for guest. We are in very close proximity to our school also.
The worst apartment !
The worst decision I've ever made. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! The price definitely shows you what you will be receiving. It took two months for maintenance to come and fix our toilet. That means only one bathroom for four females. Being with an apartment full of females, maintenance does not knock. They simply walk in which is an extreme violation of privacy, considering these are grown men. Please don't bother paying for express shipping, because the office will hold it until they feel like going through the mail. I made this mistake when I ordered a new computer charger, I couldn't do any homework the entire weekend! Talk about waste of money !! The wifi is beyond slow, makes it a hard time to even watch netflix. I wish I could give this apartment less than one star. The people that work here are completely incompetent and do not know what is going on. As you can tell I'm a very angry occupant.
This apartment community is one of the best in Central Florida
Pointe at Central is a great choice for those college students looking for a great apartment that is affordable and safe. I was actually surprised when I visited at how nice the apartments were and how affordable and friendly the staff was. The staff provides excellent service for those individuals looking for a place to call home and the service is not just limited to us students but this apartment complex is also for small families looking for a nice, affordable and safe place to live.
Love it here!
This place is the best bang for your buck! It's seriously the best price for student housing, one of the cheapest I've found. The rates are all inclusive with no cap so I can take 45 minute showers if I wanted to or leave my lights on all night! I was matched with randoms and I love them a lot we've seriously become like the best of friends. Our living room is huge too and I live on the 3rd floor which means I have the nice vaulted ceilings so it feels like I'm living in a house! Maintenance is quick and responsive all the time and that's one great thing about living here is that I don't have to worry about hiring a plumber or an electrician - there's someone on site that will fix my issues for free! They also have a 24 hour clubhouse, which includes the computer lab, and my laptop has been broken for two months now and the lab has been so helpful in my schoolwork and other needs. The only thing I wish they allowed pets but other than that I find it convenient, affordable, and great amenities!
It's okay . I'm looking for something more . It definitely just for college students .
The pointe at central
If you are looking for a nice 2/2 apartment the pointe is a great choice. Rooms are nice with an average sized closet. Space under the bed for storage.squeaky carpet floors but the living and sinning area are a nice size, also a nice little balcony.no cap so you can have your apartment very cold if you want.
The pointe at central
Currently living here for college , fairly quiet appartment complex. Kind of dull but all in all great place to live .
This aparment need TLC
although the apartment is in a very well location. this apartment need some tender loving care. Appliance and rugs need to be upgraded
Very Convenient Location
The Pointe at Central is a perfect getaway for college students. It is conveniently located close enough to UCF for walking distance but a shuttle is provided in case you do not want to walk. There are two crystal blue pools, 2 basketball courts one being full size the other half size. Maintenance is actually good they are friendly. The staff changes frequently due to students graduating. The clubhouse has all the stuff and they hold monthly parties or events for their residents. All utilities are included. You will either have one roommate or three roommates but the rooms are separate.
Not worth the money.
College station is not worth the money! I've lived there for a year now and the conditions haven't gotten any better. The parking lot is constantly littered with trash, including glass bottles in the middle of parking spots, and full litter boxes in front of the stairways! I've been into the office about an issue with my carpets 4 separate times and still no one has contacted me to resolve the issue. There is hardly any cabinet space in the kitchen, especially not for 4 people. If you have the misfortune of getting bedroom D you will not be able to have your bed anywhere but the middle of your room, otherwise you won't be able to open either your bedroom door, bathroom door, or closet doors. This problem severely restricts the space in your room! I can only have myself and 2 others there at a time otherwise it's too cramped. I've even been in the office while two staff members very audibly made fun of a resident about having anxiety! Don't waste your time, or money with this place, there are better options out there!
Living at The Pointe..
As another broke college student, I was in total shock at the low rate The Pointe had to offer me compared to other off campus apartments in the area. But, like my mom always says, "you get what you pay for". Before I come off as "Negative Nancy", I guess I should start with the pros. I absolutely love the fact that there are no utility caps, so leaving a light on or two won't put a dent in my pocket. The access to free computers, gym, and pool are also pretty awesome features I put to great use. However, I must say the walls and floors are extremely thin. Sometimes I feel as if I'm going to fall through. Besides that, the amenities and staff are great! Sure there are some minor cons, but overall living at The Pointe has been great.
Perfect for Students
The Pointe at Central is perfect for students -- affordable, great amenities, and close to both UCF and Valencia. I am a current resident and attend UCF. There is a free shuttle that runs between UCF and the Pointe (which is extremely convenient). The gym, game room, and computer lab are all open 24 hours. I would definitely recommend living at the Pointe.
Mold throughout the apt.
There is mold in the air conditioning vents ... when the mold problem was reported to management ( the rude management ) they covered it up with paint. Mold is thick in the air vents and under carpet . unsafe and unsanitary .Many bugs as well . WIfi does not work well and they claim to fix it but it doesn’t get repaired. reasonable rent and shuttle to UCF , but horrible management and sickening living environment . Mold issues are being reported to consumer agencies with photos .
You get what you pay for
Mixed. The places are spacious, cheap, and you don't pay for amenities. Community events are well-planned and fun. However, it comes at a price. The staff feigns working, management is completely apathetic to any issues you may have, and things are completely breaking down. While maintenance will repair for free, they are pretty slow to fix an issue, and they often don't double-check their work. Inspections by staff are slipshod. "Roommate matching" is a joke; it is equivocal to throwing names in a hat. Internet constantly breaks down. It is the cheapest near campus. That is the keyword ... CHEAP!
Great place to live!
This place is great! Quiet, clean and secure. The staff is amazing. Everyone is nice and respectfull.
Do not live here - beware of fake reviews
Horrible place. Management is the worst. Maintenance people and shuttle drivers are very kind and hard-working. Every other staff person on the property is horrible. Live anywhere else other than here. Rent goes up every year. Management is horrendous, and the community isn't safe. Check out news stories, there was an armed robbery this past semester. If you look at other review sites, i heard they give people "points" to write 5 star reviews so beware because some 5 star reviews could be fake. Living anywhere else will be better than here!
Perfect apartment for a college student!
The apartment is so close to school and they even offer a shuttle that can take you directly to campus. The bathrooms are so spacious too. Its perfect size for a student. And the most lovely touch is that all the furniture is included. The neighborhood has multiple pools that are amazing and always clean, and an amazing gym and club house.
The Pointe at Central
The Pointe is a great place to live. I have only had minor issues which management and the leasing agents were quick to help fix. At the time i moved in that only had 3 leasing agents and only a few security guards. Now they have at lease 6 agents and so many more security guards and updated their security system. Now its perfect.
The Pointe is a great place for the college student!
I have enjoyed living here for the past two years. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they put a lot of work into making each event enjoyable for everyone!
The apartments are nice and spacious, ideal for living.
If you are a parent looking for an inexpensive, close to campus option for your student, do NOT go here! Apartment was filthy upon move in! Even after having the carpets professionally cleaned the place stinks! Furnishings are shabby, bathroom so gross no amount of cleaning helped. Staff rude and un-cooperative. The worst experience EVER! Had to buy an air purifier to help from being sick all the time.
Ok for price. But way too loud
I am going to be living here for 2 years. I've been here one so far. In the beginning I liked living here, the utilities included and it was way nicer than on campus housing. The main reason I give this place two stars is the constant noise. The walls are so thin if people are talking downstairs you can hear them. The floors are very squeaky and you can hear everyone walking. Also the manitence people regularly do work outside from 730 am to 12pm. Lawn mowing, cutting wood with chainsaws, drilling into your building at 8am. I understand that work has to be done but these noises are so loud and keep me up for hours. This happens at least once a week, maybe more. Maintenance also comes into your apartment constantly and without much warning. Will bang on your door if your asleep making you get up so they can work on what they need. If I pay rent here I should be able to sleep when I want and not be woken up several times each week because of work being done. The apartments are very cheaply built and little issues will pop up a lot. I know I didn't sign up to be at a luxury apartment, and that this place would be cheap, but just some common decency for your residence and the fact that they want to sleep and live without constant disturbances would be nice. I have already tried to contact them about these issues and they basically told me to suck it up or file a more serious complaint. I cant wait to move out and I regret resigning.
Lived here for 3 years because it was what I could afford. Dont live here if you can avoid it. The quality of the apartment is bad to begin with. Things randomly break all the time. Maintenance will randomly enter the apartment at least once per month. Internet will go out randomely and not come back for a day. Staff are often rude. Bad apartment.
Prospective Renters BEWARE...
Worst living situation of my life. Maintenance will obnoxiously rap on your door almost a dozen times a month to take care of menial tasks that could all be done in an hour. Ants have been a seasonal problem, effortlessly finding their way into the apartment for lack of decent pest control. You will hear literally every noise that comes from your upstairs neighbors as a result of the shotty quality of the building (yes, even the rhythmic bed squeaks...). However, the absolute WORST part about these apartments is the insulation... The thermostat will be set to 70 degrees, but the rooms will heat up to 85 because the windows facing the sun have absolutely no insulation. I have asked maintenance multiple times to remedy this situation, to which I've been told they would "look into it". It seems they're too busy performing furniture checks once a month to take care of actual problems. Trust me, the marginal utility of spending an extra 100 dollars a month to rent a nicer apartment is worth every penny...
Great staff, great price, average room
When I moved in my dresser was completely broken, and maintenance replaced it within 12 hours of putting in my request which was great. The complex is very nice, especially for the price. The front office staff is typically helpful. The cons of the complex is that my room did not have any lighting in it (my roommate's room did have lighting in an overhead fan but mine had no lighting if any kind), you have to pay extra for parking, and that you have to pay for some things (signing lease, first payment, parking pass) via money order which is inconvenient. Otherwise, the place is nice, given that it's the cheapest price anywhere near campus.
The Pointe at Central has exactly what you need from low prices and the opportunity to meet new people. With all that they have going on from Waffle Wednesday and having an event every mouth you not only meet but you also interact with other residents through fun and games. I love knowing that at The Pointe at Central there is someone there for me 24hrs of the day at any given time at night.
