Property Ratings at Plymouth Ponds Apartments
I've been here for nearly 3 years now and this place has impressed me from day 1! The manager, Ardith, is so sweet and she's on a first-name basis with everyone! I can't tell you how impressed I was that she knew my name and remembered it right away. The maintenance staff here is amazing as well! Cory and Joel are the two maintenance workers and they are both so friendly and helpful! They respect your apartment and never leave it looking like a mess after they're done, and they are always on top of all the maintenance requests, and I've never had to wait more than a day for any kind of urgent scenario. After our first year here the washer was having issues, so they replaced it with another one they had on site. However, a year later, that one ended up having issues as well! But they took care of us and got us a brand new washer. I feel like I'm always taken care of here. It's in such a quiet and safe area, so I'm never worried about my car being parked outside. Other reviews are right - you only get one garage spot per apartment, so if you have a roommate, only one of you gets a spot. That's not ideal, but you do get to add yourself to a waitlist for an extra garage spot. I've been on the list since I moved in, but I'm only #2 on the list yet...but that just shows how long people stay here! Other reviews on here are angry about the lack of amenities (party room, fitness center, playground, etc.), but none of that is hidden from prospective residents. It's made very clear what they don't offer, so it's hard to get angry about what they lack AFTER signing the lease. And sure it's pricier, but you get a HUGE, beautiful updated kitchen with an exorbitant amount of cabinet and counter space, an amazing master closet, and an in-unit washer/dryer! I don't think people realize how terrible other places are - they can pay the same amount somewhere else and get a whole lot less. The last place I lived cost the same as I pay here, but I had to go down the hall and use the same laundry machines as all the other residents, most of which were broken anyway. I will never give up having in-unit machines again! All in all, I have NOTHING but good things to say about this place! I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. :)
I believe the amenities here are fair, but not wonderful. The company that runs this properties seem to have a poor corporate culture. They are poor at customer care, lac compassion, and are not able to develop good interpersonal relationships with residents. As a result I would not recommend these as a good home residence for anyone I know. I'm a man with a disability (paraplegic) I've considered legal action for poor compliance ADA
Staff does a great job keeping up property. Very clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and welcoming. All work orders are completed in a timely manner and issues addressed promptly. It is a great place to live!
