Property Ratings at Plaza DeVille
Zero stars, if it were possible. I've only been here for 4 month and I can't wait to leave already. When I first came to take a look, David, the property manager, told me about their move in incentives and how they had a lot of vacancies. Well, now I'm starting to understand why they can't seem to retain their residents and keep upping their referral and move-in incentives. They allow their own resident's cars to get towed in the middle of the night and then tell you it's your problem and to eat the cost despite it being due to their own miscommunication. Speaking of miscommunication, I was apparently supposed to get a call from the property manager for an update on a resolution to this issue (or lack thereof) and it never came. I had to track someone else down from the office to get answers. They contract with these towing companies to regularly patrol and scan their lots and get a kick back for each tow. Meaning that they are incentivized to prey on their residents and visitors under the guise of "protecting their lot." It goes to show you how they really operate after they give you the facade of a wonderful first impression. Maintenance has also failed to resolve an issue with what smells like sewer gas coming up through the bathroom sink and getting pushed through the entire apartment by the A/C. After numerous requests, to get it taken care of, the final verdict was basically a shrug saying, "Welp, there's not much we can do about that." The counters and cabinets in the apartments are cheap particle board that flake apart and have been repainted over and over to hide any damage. The cabinets doors are swollen from the layers of paint that have been globbed on during their "renovations." The exterior of the buildings are also falling apart with rotted out wood. Don't trust those highly edited photos on their website. Save yourself the headache and towing fees. Do not live here or any properties owned and managed by Univesco.

Management took the time to meet with you personally to explain the process and show how the pop-up is designed to help ensure all vehicles are properly registered. I've lived in this complex for a few years now and it is probably one of the best places I've ever lived in. Staff is amazing and very responsive. Also, if you're a foodie, you can't beat this location with the wide variety of eateries nearby and in the surrounding areas.

I really enjoyed the property. It was quiet and the neighbors seemed friendly. Deanna was beyond knowledgeable about the area and property. I honestly didn't want to go look anywhere else. The apartments are very nice inside. I like that they try to do things for the residents too. I will call when I'm ready to apply.

While my apartment was nice in size 3bed 2bath I couldn't enjoy it because of the roach. Had to repeatedly call and ask for spray to get rid of the roaches but I didn't work. They want you to clean out the apartment (everything empty like when you first move in) in order for them to spray. Water is always being turned off for the whole day with no notice and there is no routine maintenance for air filters. The clubhouse has been in repair the whole time I lived there so we never even saw it and overall these apartments are old and run down.

Thank you for letting us know your reasons for moving out of Plaza DeVille. I am sorry to hear you had a roach problem while living in our community. We have a contract with a pest control company and I will reach out and let them know their product is not working properly. We most definitely had some issues with our water and have since replaced the units and everything is now working properly. We did our best to notify Residents in advance for when the lines were being replaced. It was an inconvenience, but necessary for the replacement. As far as your air filters, we try not to have unannounced maintenance in the apartments so we rely on the tenant to place a service call when they need filters replaced. We regret you moved out for these reasons and wish you the best of luck in your new home.
Bugs, despite spraying and setting traps on my own, appliances in disrepair, A/C can't keep the place at 80 despite multiple maintenance requests, balcony was falling apart when we first moved in, water gets shut off routinely with no notice, and mandatory dna testing for your dog's poop. Missed a mess one time after nearly three years of rent on time? No strikes, you're out. $250 fine, next time it's even more. Don't come here if you have dogs.
This is a beautiful community and it is in a great location! The one thing that stood out to me was with whom I was in contact with, Olga. She was outstanding, I work in customer/consumer services and Olga has great people skills, she was excellent in answering all my questions and made sure I was comfortable and assisted in making sure all of my questions and concerns were addressed while we were touring the units/property, felt like I've known her forever, this by far was the best Apt and contact person I have come across since living in San Antonio for the past 16 years. I will definitely be submitting my application to move here in November.
The staff was nice. However, they do not honor their agreements. We referred a friend and were told we would receive a $300 referral bonus. We found out today that the paperwork was done late on THEIR end and not on ours. Due to THEIR delay, we no longer qualified. We also required monthly to almost weekly pest control for roaches, wasps, and millipedes. After this experience, I would no longer recommend them.
Plaza De Ville is friendly and family orientated. They are always thinking of things for the community to participate. They are quick to help and the place is well maintained. We have 2 pools, tennis court and a gym. We also have a Club House which is available for parties and get together. We are located near bus routes and great restaurants. It is fun to live here.
I love my apartment for the reason that it is just the right fit for me. It;s a one bed room apartment.All my belongings fit here nicely. I love the area. It's close to a local H.E.B. grocery store. Since I don't have a car, there is a bus stop right in front of the complex that I use. The bus is very helpful to go everywhere to do my errands. I enjoy coming back to my apartment which I call home. It's very relaxing here.
