Love the location at Orenco Station, which is close the the Max Line and to buses, since I don't have a car. I also love the space and layout of my apartment - the bedrooms being on opposite sides for privacy. The storage is great, especially the generous coat closet, an additional hallway closet, each bedroom having a walk-in closet, and the large laundry room! I also love that this is a non-smoking building (no cigs, pot or vapes), since I am allergic. It is also great that Platform 14 is part of the BILT Alliance, so I get points when I pay rent, at no additional cost. The staff here has also been super friendly and responsive. A major negative: living on the second floor, I had no idea until I moved in how much I would hear the footfalls of my upstairs neighbor. The ceiling sometimes literally vibrates, and they often walk late into the night. Unsure if they are unusually heavy footed or if this is an issue with building construction, but it affects my overall rating so I am including it in the review. If I rented here again, it would have to be the top floor.
This 12 year old bldg is not a luxury apt bldg. The appliances are 12 years old, thermostat isn’t digital, bath tub creaks when you stand in it to shower. Hallways and lobby are modernized, but not the interior of the apt. A bar was just opened on the north end, so hope you don’t mind noise and smoking.
Friendly, responsive staff; poorly designed kitchen (only one drawer for entire space); free floating tub groans and squeaks when taking a shower; appliances all work well; ceiling fans a nice touch.
I appreciate the staff who take personal and professional pride in making Platform 14 a welcoming home for a diverse Hillsboro population of all ages and backgrounds. My apartment fits my needs perfectly and and I love the secure lockers for packages delivered while I’m out!

I absolutely love the layout of this apartment: 2 bed, 2 bath, 1248 sq ft. It's been a pleasure having this much space and storage. I love that the bedrooms and bathrooms are on separate sides of the apartment, for privacy. That has been great when I have overnight guests. Having ensuite laundry is also a plus. The Orenco Station area is extremely walkable, and very close to transit, eateries, supermarket, etc. - even Chiropractic and Dentist. One unknown defect, if you will, of being on the second floor at Platform 14 is that the neighbor directly above me is very heavy footed, and their footfalls are quite loud. They often walk well past midnight. I wish there were some way to better soundproof the footsteps from above. The ceiling sometimes shakes from their movements! It's the one negative issue, and a significant one, with living here.
The building is always maintained clean. Security is excellent. Feel safe and comfortable living here.
So happy I moved to Platform 14! Management, maintenance, and community are all friendly and helpful. The apartment is very attractive, quiet, and in a wonderful neighborhood!
I looked at every elevator apartment building in the area and I chose Platform 14! The manager, Brittany, upon meeting left such a positive impression it made my decision easy. The entire team here is outstanding. Everyone is always friendly and eager to help. The building is kept spotless and they always have holiday treats and coffees in the AM every few weeks. A year round jacuzzi and gorgeous pool and clubhouse. The team has created a good culture in the building!
Living here over a year now and it is a great place. Travis and Roberto are extremely helpful with all maintenance requests I’ve needed.

I very much like the building and how close I am to work. The staff is aways pleasant to work and talk with, and I appreciate the events they have. My only gripe is the value. I get living in Orenco Station and being so close to Intel comes at a cost, but my previous apartment was about as close and seemed to offer slightly better value at the expense of not being in downtown Orenco.
Just a really nice place to live. A high quality, well maintained development in a fun walkable area. The office and maintenance folks are all friendly, efficient and just make hassles go away. Brilliant all round.

I have lived at Platform 14 for 2.5 years and it has been a fantastic place to live. The staff - both office and maintenance - have been friendly, prompt, and helpful. They take urgent requests seriously and respond quickly to even routine questions. Communication between renters and staff is transparent, honest, and informative.
Limited experience with the leasing office staff, but so far so good. Colleen has been nice to work with. I like the area, the building is kept up well, and community seems quiet enough. I've noticed very little I've had to fix or touch up myself. Overall my specific unit has also been kept up well.
Both maintenance staff and the office staff here are wonderful.

The place is pretty average for the area, I think. The staff have always been very nice and attentive. However, the room appliances kinda feel like they are showing their age. I don't really use any of the public amenities, so I cannot really comment on those, except to say I find the recent remodel was not in a style I can appreciate, especially with white hallway carpeting in a pet-friendly building... Private rooms have no built-in AC, and floors creak A LOT. Parking in the area is a nightmare and the cost of a personal spot is way too much. Otherwise, a very convenient location for work and having food and services nearby, but if prices are raised even more, I am unsure if it will be worth staying.

I love living here at Platform 14. Perfect location and the amenities are excellent. I feel sad and bad that I have to leave due to a job change. Otherwise, I will continue to live here. If I ever find myself moving back to Portland, I will definitely come back to Platform 14.

All in all, my experience living at Platform 14 has been a positive one. The property offers all the amenities I was looking for in an apartment home. I especially appreciate the first rate office, maintenance, and housekeeping staff for all they do to make this a great place to live.
The units are nice, but there are some small items that are annoying. - The metal blinds are absolutely terrible to manage and unsightly. - There is a stain that was here before I moved in directly in the middle of the unit that isn't visible after a quick vacuums, but reappears a couple of days after. - The kitchen sink faucet is cheap and already breaking at the head. - The hallways on the third floor are riddled with stains, and it is embarrassing for a "luxury" apartment. In the time I've been here (8 months) they have been shampoo'd once, which had very little effect. They need replaced - Many of the lighting fixture's use non-standard bulbs or strips, making smart home/smart lights much more difficult to accomplish.

I moved in sight unseen from the Midwest. The staff was so helpful in helping me with a lease and providing video and a virtual walkthrough to help ease the challenge. I looked at many places and this staff was by far the most helpful. Im so thankful for all they did to make it a smooth transition.
The experience has been excellent, from the staff always very profecional and always willing to help you with any problem. Like if you are moving to early and they are still not in the office they make accesible to pick up your keys, this is the first aparment that i been that make your life easier on all aspects. Even with the application always no matter how many time you call they help you with all the questions providing excellent information to complete your application.
We absolutely love living at Platform14. Carlie was really helpful and answered all of our questions when we toured the apartments. Right after move-in, I had a medical emergency. I got a card from the team at Platform14, saying that if we needed anything to let them know. I've NEVER had that kind of customer service from any apartment, in my life. The amazing people that do everything they can to improve and make residents happy is off the charts, unbelievably incredible. We never want to leave Platform14
The leasing office is great to work with. Always a friendly reply and usually very quick in responding to emails. I am surprised at how I feel so at home and comfortable in my new apartment.
Each time I've had a maintenence issue, it has been taken care of fully and promptly.
Everyone at Platform 14 has been so welcoming and helpful during our move-in process. Weve moved around a lot, and my partner and I keep saying how incredibly easy it has been to become acclimated here. Our apartment is spacious and comfortable, we love taking advantage of the amenities like the sky deck, and the staff has been nothing less of excellent and accommodating. We also love having so many restaurants and bars within walking distance. Very happy to call Platform 14 home!

We love living at Platform 14 from the convenience of whats around, the amenities (especially the open deck), the events pre- COVID (the ones now are awesome and a great way to pivot in response), and the staff (Brittany, Carlos, Travis, Carli, Hannah & all) have been so kind, helpful, and accommodating. It has all made this place home for our family. Whenever we do have to leave, we will truly miss you all.
