Twenty-five miles south of Portland on the banks of the Willamette River, Canby is a small city that blurs the line between the suburbs and the countryside. The charming Downtown district around the intersection of Grant Street and NW 1st Avenue features a wide selection of locally-owned cafes, specialty shops, and neighborhood bars in beautifully preserved historic storefronts.
Canby is best known locally as the home of the Clackamas County Fairgrounds, which has hosted the Clackamas County Fair every summer for over a century and serves as the venue for large events throughout the year. Living in Canby puts you in an excellent position to explore the surrounding natural landscape, including Mount Hood National Forest just minutes to the east.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Pine Terrace Apartments
The new mgmt company is updating the apartments The new maintenance tech gets right on problems and fixes them correctly. The last guy never fixed the problem. It is kept nice and clean and the dumpster and recycling bins are picked up dailyon the weekend. No loud tenants because the mgr evicted the loud partiers. Canby Utility is the power co. and we have 3 adults in our apt and the highest bill was 83 in winter. This month 60!
I have been quite happy here for a few years but with the new management that is never there and the maintenance man who never shows and the increase in rent but decrease in services....I am just not happy here anymore. So many people were evicted with no cause after their leases ran out who were nice neighbors..I am nervous to complain about anything. So sad the way it is now.
This used to be a nice quiet happy place, but now, they are handing notices right and left and the myself and many of my neighbors feel like we are being watched. Our building has always been very active with the kids from the adjoining complex behind us and at times noisy with kid play, but we love the unit and how it was previously we always felt welcome in the office. Good luck trying to find someone in there now, its always closed, they don't return phone calls and we just don't feel welcome in the office with the new manager.
