Virginia Village is one of Denver’s most sought-after neighborhoods, and it’s not hard to see why this community charms so many people. Located about five miles south of Downtown Denver, Virginia Village offers a suburban feel while still having easy access to city amenities. Virginia Village borders Colorado Boulevard, one of the city’s busiest thoroughfares. This long corridor is lined with grocers, restaurants, big-box stores, and other establishments. Along with several neighborhood parks, residents have easy access to golf courses like Wellshire Golf Course and sprawling parks like Cherry Creek State Park, a local favorite for hiking and camping. The University of Denver is one light rail stop away, so the neighborhood is also a great option for students, faculty, and staff. Virginia Village has something for everyone with affordable to upscale apartments, condos, and houses available for rent.

Property Ratings at Peregrine Place Apartments
I write this because after everything that Kayla and the building owners have done for me, it's the least I can do to broadcast how great my experience at Peregrine Place was. The building owners are there a few days every week and, along with Kayla, respond immediately, even outside business hours. I often casually texted with them about maintenance and unit questions. Brian, the maintenance guy, is on site everyday too so lightbulbs and small issues are resolved within the hour. The building is immediately across the street from a beautifully maintained and quiet park. The very well-funded city of Glendale's admin functions (and it's large YMCA) are based in the park, which ensures that it is safe and empty at night and always kept clean. There are many small businesses down along our block and Colorado Blvd with all of it's chain restaurants is only a block and a half away. The proximity (1-3 blocks away) to a post office, Target, Home Depot, and Whole Foods makes life much easier as well. I moved to this neighborhood after living downtown because it avoids nearly all of the morning traffic on I-25 to get to my job in the Tech Center while still being close to Cherry Creek and downtown. The convenience of no longer having long drives for any of my errands more than made up for having to uber downtown twice a month. Bull and Bush, one or the oldest and coolest bars in Denver, being a short walk away also gave us a fun neighborhood bar to gather at with friends. The units are smartly laid out with plenty of storage space and, even though the aesthetic hints at it, is not cheaply made like the other new buildings I lived in so far in Denver. Get an apartment with a view of the park, it's refreshing to watch rugby and cricket games all week long from your balcony.
Around three years ago the apartment was built. So the apartment is very new and has little maintenance issues. If any issues ever occurred I reached out to Kayla or Ellen. The problem was fixed either that day or the next. The management and the community is extremely friendly. I would stop in by Kayla or Ellen and say hi on regular basis. Additionally, there are community events if you ever want to meet more people! I absolutely loved living here, the only reason why I moved is because I moved to a different state.
We have lived here for the past 6 months and we love it so far! The apartments are extremely clean and everything is brand new. Kayla, the leasing agent, is amazing!
I’m so happy to have found this place. Moving from Texas I was worried about finding a place I loved here. Everything from management to the property has been a great experience. I am a very happy girl!
Peregrine place is absolutely terrific, from the leasing agent to ownership! It is a true community, it is not run by corporate drones, but by people who truly care. The best part for me is that it is pet friendly, they have a dog wash in the basement and a designated doggie area on site. Infinity Park is directly across from us so I try and go over there as often as possible, my pup loves it! The apartments are beautiful and things are fixed in a timely manner. The management makes things go smoothly in the process of moving in or out. They go above and beyond and make new additions to the building to enhance it even when it is not necessary. Abide by the lease and the simple guidelines management puts in place and you will have a enjoyable living experience.
Great location with good views and close to 25. Staff are friendly and easy to work with. Building is well maintained and apartments are updated.
I strongly encourage you to live here if you're considering it. I lived here from May 2016 until August 2017 and once Ellen and Bob bought the building and Kayla became the leasing agent things were incredible. The previous management/leasing agent had really messed things up for my roommate and me and they swept in and squared everything away, with no problems since then. They are compassionate people of high character, and really went above and beyond to make my experience as great as they could. Unlike many places, they are always available and I truly believe they care about their residents as people and not just as a source of income. The maintenance guy is also fantastic. The longest it took him to fix something was 1 1/2 days and that was because I think he had to order a part. The units are nice themselves too, and when the windows are closed you can't hear the traffic outside which is nice when you're living in a city. The park across the street and Cherry Creek down the road are great escapes from city life and it only takes about 10 minutes to walk to the creek where there is a great bike/walking/running path. There are great positive laid-back vibes in this community and I'm definitely going to miss living here.
The building and facilities are great, but it was no consolation for management which was a nightmare the entire time I lived here (2 years, since summer 2015). Owners/managers changed three times in two years, which meant payment interfaces, billing and due dates changed three times as well. When the most recent management took over I was excited because they seemed like a solid team. Though Kayla and Mike were continually great at each interaction I had with them, things swiftly went downhill. Move out was horrible, communication with management was always a struggle and nothing was ever clear cut or simple. When I had questions Ellen displayed the most unprofessional behavior I've ever experienced. I was met with nothing but insults and degrading language both in person and via text message. I think the behavior I was met with was based on my young age and I do not believe I would have been spoken to this way as a 45 year old. Additionally, the character of management rings true as they bully bad reviewers on other sites. I won't make a list of the ample problems I had at this building, but I will say move here at your own risk.
Property Manager at Peregrine Place Apartments, Responded To This Review
Turnover of ownership and management is difficult, and for our part in that process (we have owned the property since June 2016) we apologize. We cannot control what went on prior to our ownership. We do recognize that the change between 3 different software was difficult, again for that issue we apologize, with each software program there is a learning curve. We at Peregrine Place are excited to provide high standards and amenities for our tenants in their apartments. The lease agreement this tenant signed was from a previous owner and having lived through 3 management changes I am sure was frustrating each having different payments systems etc. When we purchased the property in June of 2016 we made a decision to overlook the additional pet deposits and penalties for not disclosing them that were required by the existing lease hoping to provide tenants with a good experience. When the apartment was vacated we did, however, follow the lease previously signed with a prior owner which detailed covering damages to the apartment. We wouldn't want a new tenant to have to move into a place that has an odor from cat urine or anything else less than the high standards we wish to provide for our tenants. We don't feel it was unreasonable to hold past tenants financially responsible for damages incurred while residing at the building from having multiple pets in an apartment. We are committed to full disclosure and wish we could please 100% of the people 100% of the time, unfortunately that is not possible. The only complaints we have had are from former tenants in the same unit, both of whom apparently deny responsibility for their own actions
We have lived at Peregrine since it opened! The owners and management staff are incredible. The property is well kept and clean. We love living here.
Place is super nice and is in a perfect location. The amenities are extravagant, but you're not paying for them! Right across from infinity park and large open concept floor plans with new features.
