Located about 15 miles northwest of Downtown Detroit, Livonia provides a suburban setting only minutes from the city. Livonia was ranked one of the top cities for starting a business in 2018, and it was named one of the nation's hottest real estate markets in 2017. Part of the reason so many new residents are moving to Livonia has to do with its livability -- the city offers a variety of parks and hiking trails along with a strong economy and plenty of restaurants and nightlife. Livonia is home to several colleges and universities, including Madonna University and Schoolcraft Community College.
Livonia has a comprehensive parks system and multiple golf courses. Golfers can choose from Whispering Willows Golf Course, Fox Creek Golf Course, and Idyl Wyld. Just outside the city, Maybury State Park provides 944 acres of forest and open green space.

The residents are very friendly and receptive to socializing, and the staff is very courteous and professional.
Parkside of Livonia is a great place to live, being located in the center of a quiet neighborhood, It is easy to go for long walks without worrying about traffic. I like to take the bus for grocery shopping, so much easier then taking groceries in and out of a car. Going on the bus for lunch is fun and a great way to meet new friends. We also have the bus for going to movies or the mall, and extra activities like the cider mill.

Parkside is in a good location with access to numerous stores, restaurants, gas stations and health care locations. However, the lack of apartment amenities is a bit lacking, such as no central ac, no dishwasher, very little storage/closet space and kitchen counter space.

I love my two bedroom apartment at Parkside of Livonia. It was completely redone with high grade appliances like a self cleaning oven and a full size refrigerator, unlike the overpriced community I moved from which had very substandard and ancient appliances.
The staff of Parkside if very friendly and polite, and I would definitely recommend it as a place to live.

A picturesque community surrounded by nature and friendly people. Easy to find. Near several shopping centers. If you don't want to drive, transportation to these sites are available. People make you feel included and welcomed.

I took a tour of this community ( looking for my Aunt) and the community is very clean and beautifully decorated. The residents seemed very friendly and I was impressed with the pricing. Definitely a strong possibility!
