A quiet community nestled in North Charleston, Goose Creek sits about 18 miles north of the heart of Charleston. Charleston Southern University sits just outside of Goose Creek, making it a great place to find a rental for both students and faculty. Property Ratings at Parks at Nexton
Despite being in a fantastic location, the operators of this enterprise have managed to make it a less than enjoyable experience. They knew about a safety issue with the balconies for 6 months with one unit completely missing the floor of the balcony. We were only notified at the end of February about being out of code and we were asked not to use them henceforth. Apartment finishings and appliances are of cheap quality. Ask to tour the unit you will be living in. Save your money and go with a different community.

The staff take forever to fix anything until you move out, then they take a long time ( and you will pay for it).

Management is dishonest and spiteful. They expected 60 days notice of leaving on a 3 month lease. When I disputed the charge they sent it to collections without notifying me. Truly a nightmare to deal with.

We are always happy to answer questions and have many 3 month leases that continue beyond the initial term. We are sad to hear your experience does not represent our norm. If I could give a zero I would. Break ins, people were shot in the parking lot. Our bikes were stolen. Pool was gross. Drug busts in the middle of the night. Spiteful behavior when we decided to move out. Tried to leave after first year but told we didn't give enough notice so we would be liable for early out fees. We were only shy less than a month. Breezeway was not clean. Dog hair collecting under the stairs. They only clean the main building where the office is. Air filters were changed only once in two years so developed a mild allergy that resulted in skin rash that has cost hundreds of dollars to treat. Make sure to request to see where your apartment actually will be. Told that we had through the weekend to move but then out of spite told apartment was rented to force us to leave in a week day. Place is still vacant. Worst place I've ever lived and they make it hard to leave. Don't do it. I expected bit to receive my deposit back out of spite. Sure enough, I was right and they claim I used $72 in water bill in a month and a half. I own a house that was 2200 she feet and never owed that much in water.
